Android :: Launch Market Place With Id Of An Application That Doesn't Exist In The Android Market Place
Mar 25, 2010I am creating an application that checks the installation of a package and then launches the market-place with its id.
When I try to launch market place with id of an application say com.mybrowser.android by throwing an intent android.intent.action.VIEW with url: market://details?id=com.mybrowser.android, the market place application does launches but crashes after launch.
Note: the application com.mybrowser.android doesn't exists in the market-place.
MyApplication is my application.

However, when I try to launch the market place for a package that exists in the market place say com.opera.mini.android, everything works. Log for this case:

Oct 28, 2010I've been having problems downloading apps, and updating apps this past week. Uk T-mobile branded handset, updated to 2.2 a few weeks ago via T-mobile ota update. Also followed the noobs guide to force apps to AD, freeing up some extra ram. Just having issues updating programmes like
Opera Mini
Co pilot
Google Maps
And just tried to install..............

Aug 8, 2010How do i save apps from the market place to my sd card and not the phone.
i have downloaded quite a few apps to play with and get a feel for what each does etc, but not ive had issues where i need to free up space.
i have found that my apps go to the phone by default and not sd card.
just wondered where i change this, if its possible, and how i can move any that have already been saved to the phone?

Oct 10, 2010I'm referring to the "Downloads" tab in the Market app.
I've been noticing of late that it isn't listing the apps that I have been downloaded thus far. It displays one/two/three items that 've been downloaded (no specific time line, either). Furthermore, sometimes, it also tends to display an app which has already been removed.

1. Is there a way to Remove the GMail and Mail App altogether *Without breaking anything*? If I recall, I didn't think there was a way without breaking sync support for calendar and contacts.
2. If the above cannot be done, is there a way to keep the GMail app from actually syncing your mail, and removing any mail that it was already sync up? I've already disabled syncing in account settings.
I installed K9 mail, and rather use that, so that ALL my e-mail is uniform.

Mar 21, 2010I have uploaded my paid app "Legion" and I can see that I am making sales but why is this app not visible on my phone? I can see other paid and free apps. The android platform of my Samsung Galaxy phone is 1.5 and here is part of my manifest.

Feb 24, 2010I've been using a nice widget called "Timeriffic". You can set up different notification profiles. 6:30 - 10:30pm I get all notifications. After 10:30pm I only get phone calls. Are you aware of a application that does this for email, wireless and other services as well? Was thinking it would be nice to set up a profile that stopped email polling at specific times to save battery life. I usually put the phone into airplane mode...but would like something automatic.
