I'm facing with downloading and updating my applications in xperia x10 it started happening about a week ago and the bug is still there.

Why I'm unable to download updates and new apps etc. Each time it fails it says 'Download unsuccessful' and sometimes 'manual download required' as well. Internet and Wifi are working fine.

Do I need a minimum left on my card, or something? Whenever I try it just says "so and so has been unsuccessful in downloading please try again."

Whether i try again and again...it makes no sense....this problem happens once already...and i just reset to factory settings losing all the apps i already download...!

It appears that it only wants to download some applications with most kicking back a "Download Unsuccessful" including some that I have purchased before.
I am running 2.1 -update 1 right out of the box software number 1.19.161.5
I've tried a factory reset with still no avail.
I'm trying to download it using my wireless router which I'm sitting right beside so signal is no problem.
when I pick an app to download from market, it won't download. They just sit there "preparing to download"

I am talking about 12mb per night. I thought it was one of my apps so I did a factory reset, after the reset the phone is still downloading at a rate of about 150 kb every 5 min. what is this should I be worried?I've also noticed If I am connected to 3g instead of wifi it downloads much less, maybe 50kb per night.

However, there have been no updates to facebook posts in Timescape for 2 days - setting is set to update per hour. If I click through one of the old posts in timescape it shows me a Facebook login screen - but whenever I type in my Facebook login it flicks back the emailaddress/phone number to show my phone number rather than my username!?
View 2 Replies View RelatedMy Timescape widget is not updating and still shows an SMS I received almost a week ago as the most recent message with caption "2 hours ago". I have changed my facebook updates to "Update automatically = never" and not included in the main spline, but have SMS and emails regularly appearing which is what I want to see in the widget. Anyone else got similar issue, or even better anyone 'had' similar issue and found a fix they'd like to share? At the moment it's a big waste of screen space.

View 17 Replies View RelatedI recently went through a process recommended by Sony Support to download latest software update to my X10 (depite the fact that the inbuilt update process repeatedly informed me I had the latest software.) Now when i use the inbuilt procedure od SETTINGS/About Phone/Software update/ Update Now (with the WiFi & mobile networks setting selected) my X10 helpfully tells me "your phone will now search to see if any new sofware is available". After a few seconds it then informs me "Could not update - network error".

I just updated to 2.2 froyo yesterday and now when I try to download any app it starts and goes straight to saying download unsuccessful! Is this an issue with 2.2? What can I do to resolve this? It sucks a little extra because I just uninstalled my launcherpro plus because it was being glitchy with 2.2 and as I went to reinstall it like the dev told me to I found out I could no longer download apps. I can't even navigate the orginal home screen because of how use to launcherproI was.
