I have just recently downloaded 'stats' to keep a record of useage. I am finding it hopelessly unreliable in terms of texts. It makes obvious mistakes clearly evident from when I do random checks.

My battery useage is good but im wondering when i check consumption levels android is up like 95-100%! ive seen some of you guys at like 25%. is this normal for my phone?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have decided to go to a smartphone on 13th June when my present contract expires. My Query is, I am in the U.K. and if I look at contracts for the iphone they normally include unlimited Wifi and 1Gb of wireless data, whereas the Desire seems to come with only 500Mb of wireless.
I would much prefer to get a Desire, but I am concerned that I could be lumbering myself with excess charges if I go over the 500Mb limit.
I have never had a phone with an Internet connection before so I'm sure that there will be a lot of playing going on at least to start with.
Is there a program so I can see what program is using data?

How do I know if the phone is accessing the internet through WiFi or not? Obviously WiFi doesnt count towards the limit, so I want to know that I'm using it as often as possible.
Do widgets on the home page count towards your data limit? I've got a weather widget, facebook, bbc news, email, all getting their info from the internet. Is this going to be raking up the MBs while the phone is just sat in my pocket?
Is there a number I can ring to see how much data I've used? I'm with Orange. A number to call to check my texts and minutes would be helpful, too.

I've been noticing of late that it isn't listing the apps that I have been downloaded thus far. It displays one/two/three items that 've been downloaded (no specific time line, either). Furthermore, sometimes, it also tends to display an app which has already been removed.
So I've downloaded the Tajm and Battstatt which are widgets and for some reason they're downloading directly to my sdcard. So while I have them on my homescreen and I reboot my phone they will not show up anymore. So I decide to move them to my phone memory and when I do they no longer show up on the widgets list anymore.

Also, when I'm in "bulk storage" mode when plugged into my PC via the USB, I assume the window that pops up is the SD card as opposed to the phone memory?? View 4 Replies View RelatedToday I woke up and found an app on the Android Market for my G1. Looked to be the perfect app for my workouts. It's called WorkItOut -- odd coincidence because that was the file name for my excel file tracking my workouts for a long time.Well, I tried WorkItOut and it ended up having this odd glitch that synchronizes workouts. Like I put together my Workout for Bicep Day and my Workout for Tricep Day and it kept overriding the exercises for one day with the ones from the other day. I entered the exercises for Bicep Day and they got copied to Tricep Day -- replacing the ones already there. So I tried to fix Tricep Day and all of those exercises got copied to Bicep Day, replacing the exisiting exercises.
I tried deleting a day and recreating it, no dice. Same problem, won't let those two days labeled "2" and "3" keep their individual lineups. So I uninstalled. I was looking at the comments section to see what other people thought and someone wrote "please support Gyminee". So I googled it.Gyminee is a workout/food/nutrition/social networking website. There's even a mobile version(for iPhone) that works on the G1. So I set up everything in Gyminee on my PC, then logged in with my G1 and ta-daa! Exactly what I want! And when I use the Steel browser instead of the Android Default Browser, it comes with a virtual keyboard to tide me over until Android releases that in the update planned for first quarter of 2009.
This is great. I've been using my old T-Mobile Wing, because my workout tracking has been done with an excel sheet. I've been waiting for an App, or a Google Docs Mobile Update, or something to support Excel editing on the G1, and now I don't have to! View 9 Replies View RelatedI'm not getting the best battery life at the moment, have the Seidio "1750", and have seen conflicting reports on if wiping the battery stats really helps or not. Tried it this morning anyway, figured it couldn't hurt. Charged the phone, gave it a nice bump charge, and then booted into recovery and wiped the stats.
