Nov 23, 2010I have been using my phone for about 4 months now and I knew it was going to happen as it is so poorly built, the charger port has broken!

Oct 4, 2010Ok so my charging port is broke but I'm rooted.Would sprint be able to still fix it under warranty since they dont need to see my software to operate? Or would they be douches and check?

Jul 26, 2010sprint can't say "Its the users fault" because you know dam well its not. If you have a loose or broken port please post here and try to include your hardware version 2 or 3 and your build dates. Frankly im sick and tired of HTC and Sprint passing the buck about there faulty equipment.

May 25, 2010Just found my tomtom mains / usb charger that I bought in NZ.. Comes with US, UK, AUS/NZ & Euro plugs and cost me ?15.00. Spec is: output 5v - 1.0A I presume this should work as it's the same out out as the HTC. You would need a USB / Micro SB cable. Would this work OK on the Desire? I hate to damage my new 'toy'

Aug 30, 2010Today whilst surfing the net via wireless (only for a few mins) my Desire shutdown out of the blue and now constantly reboots - all it shows is the O2 Welcome screen before rebooting. Tried stopping this booting by holding down the power key and now it's stuck on the welcome screen! Any idea of what I can do? I've already removed the battery, sim and mini sd card and tried starting again but I still can't get past the o2 screen!

Nov 1, 2010the GPS on my Desire is shocking - it point-blank won't work if there's ANYTHING over my head, so useless in cars/trains/buses, and if i'm out on the street it'll either not work at all or take upwards of 2 minutes to lock a signal. was chatting to a friend about it this weekend, and he whipped out his nexus one and had a locked signal within seconds of opening google maps, whereas mine still refused to budge. have i got a duff handset, or are other people finding this an issue? i'm on Orange, although i'm presuming that GPS isn't reliant on the carrier...

Aug 11, 2010I've had my Desire a few weeks now and am resigned to the fact that I have to charge it regularly as I have it linked to my office Exchange server using push email. As I am on call for my job I need it on overnight as well. I always plug it into the HTC charger at bed time, but this morning I noticed something odd. When I woke up (still plugged in) the battery was showing 100%. As soon as I unplugged the charger, it dropped to 90%. I've seen a similar question on the forums but the circumstances were slightly different - anyone have any thoughts, duff battery maybe?

Nov 28, 2010It stopped charging, seemed like it was the charger connector, no problem they say, its covered under warranty, so i sent it off, then they email me, 53 quid please, you broke it, well i didnt, im CAREFUL BUT WHAT CAN YOU DO. 3 weeks pass, where is it? several calls result in various responses. after 4 weeks, it comes back, still not working, turns out its the charger. how did they not eliminate that? perhaps i should have noticed but i put my faith in their support and they took fifty quid fot the pleasure. poor
