Jun 15, 2010Is there anyway to use them? I was really fond of the calendar and news feed widget. And now since I'm running ADW the widgets don't appear. Do they only run on sense?

Oct 5, 2010I really like Sense but I really want to try out the transparent widget mods for launcherpro plus (which I already bought). Is there any way to get the launcherpro widgets in sense? I know the opposite can't be done, but I figure since I paid for the extra widgets, it would be cool if I could use them outside of the launcher. And I know, launcher pro is awesome...I have beautiful widgets and I know that is almost the same but the weather animations are a pain because they come up on any screen and in my apps and I have to tap to clear them and then I can scroll. With sense I just unlock and scroll and I like that alot better right now.

Jul 5, 2010I just installed Launcher Pro Beta, and am trying to "flavor" up my EVO. I really used the stock sense widgets that toggled 4g, wifi, BT, etc, but am unable to find them with the new home launcher. Am i unable to use the previously installed default widgets with this launcher/home? How about the default weather/clock combo, i can't seem to find a way to add it either. I liked the simple look of the Launcher Pro icons along the bottom, that's all i really wanted changed.
EDIT - Found it, will need Beautiful Widgets or something similar

General :: APEX Launcher And CM9 - Widgets Stop Updating
Sep 30, 2012I have a small issue with widgets..
I'm currently on APEX launcher and cm9. When i put any widgets on the home screen that auto update, they do work ok for a short while, but then stop. for instance, a clock widget will work for a 10 minutes maybe, but then stick.
I don't use any a task killer.

Mar 28, 2012I'm redoing my home screen, and I want to have a few text icons that take me directly to specific home screens. Apex launcher has action shortcuts for this, but they are only 1x1. I cannot use widgets to get these actions... I have to use shortcuts. I have done what I want with 1x1 shortcuts, but they are just too small for my taste. I really want 2x1 shortcuts. I have not been able to figure out how to make them with either Simple Text or Desktop Visualizer.

Mar 10, 2012I am using Go Launcher on Galaxy Note and it appears to redraw/reload all widgets and icons on the home screen if I rotate the screen i.e while going from Landscape to Potrait Mode and vice versa , all widgets/icons reload.
While rotating applications , this does not happen.

Nov 5, 2010Now this is probably me being a bit dim but I have just changed from Leedroid to DeFrost 6.0b and I cannot get any of my homescreen widgets that I used to use.I have restored everything through Titanium but when I press on the screen it only brings up select widgets that look like they are the preinstalled ones.Hope someone can help as I am liking it so far but just want it set up like I had before

Jul 20, 2010I got my Desire last week and I am looking for the best programs and widgets there are, I'd like a better music player because the built-in one doesn't look great, I have an ipod touch and the difference in user-experience is so huge, the Desire doesn't compare and I wish it did. I'd also like some good games (racing, action, puzzle etc.) and anything else you think may be good. Also, is there a program to use the flash next to the camera as a flashlight? I think this would be really handy.

Apr 18, 2010This phone looks sweet, and my friends are impressed by the sleek looking widgets on the screens, but I don't have the heart to tell them that the widgets don't update automatically. This is most visible in the FriendFeed, and "News" widget, but I suspect may also affect the Weather and even the People widget. My "Background Data" and "Auto Sync" settings are on. For example my phone was at my home for most of the weekend, where I have wifi. But as of Monday morning, the FriendFeed is still showing Friday's updates.

Aug 9, 2010If I take my HTC handset to another country, will it charge me for just having it turned on (no 3G, apps, widgets or anything that uses the net in some way turned off). Cause I take it, it will try to find an Orange signal in that country if they do have Orange there so will it charge me for that? (I'm on contract by the way). Next question is similar to my last question. Can I still use my internet allowance from my contract (500Mb) in another country or will I get charged?

HTC Desire :: Setting Certain Images For Toggle Widgets?
Aug 12, 2010You know that you can get settings toggle widgets i.e mobile, WiFi, airplane? Well when I set up the widgets I see that it will have a certain image next to it for example with 'mobile widget' there is a blue planet type image, which I have seen other people have on screenshots via thread on here. However when I actually have the widget on screen its just boring black with 2 arrow pointing opposite ways. Anybody know why or how to change it?
