Just dialed my network operator to listen to how much credit i had on my phone, but when i tapped on 'end call' the phone did not end the call, eventually i had to switch the phone off. It happened a second time too but seems to be okay now.
Is it something i should be concerned about, or is it quite normal, or maybe it's happened to one of you as well.

If I use the built in FM-radio with the x10 mini pro headset, with the FM-radio turned on, the radio stops when a call comes in. The button to take the call doesn't respond however. Is this normal behavior? It does work with music.
View 2 Replies View Relatedi put my phone into airplane mode and wake it up when i do ,halfway through the day yesterday i tried to make a call ,the display said i was making a call ,but there was no sound from the earpiece no matter what i did.i hung up and tried again a few times ,same thing.Display showed full reception. I rebooted the phone and it worked as normal ,this has happened twice now,is it a hangover from airplane mode or something else ? ,anyone had the same thing happen?.
View 2 Replies View RelatedJust bought myself the HTC desire HD 2 days ago and couldn't be happier except for one thing. Whenever I make or receive a call everything works but I can't hang up...the phone goes dead but the call is connected until the person calling/being called hangs up, and then I have to take out my battery to be able to use my phone for texting/apps etc, everything else works fine its just the screen refuses to light up again after I take it away from my ear.
If anyone knows what could be causing this or a fix it would be greatly appriciated.
My phone has worked without a problem till last nite. I had a few texts and calls early eve with no issues at all then later on when I tried a text it kept giving me a 'message not sent' message? At first I thought it was an Orange issue so didn't worry too much but this am it's still the same? On doing a bit of investigating I have found I can no longer make calls either. If I try it it doesn't even get too a dial tone it just beeps and returns to the initial call screen.
The phone is showing full signal strength? When I go too call settings>additional settings it shows 'network or SIM error'. I have put my SIM into another phone and it works fine and another SIM that I know works into my Desire and have the same issues so it must be the handset. What do you lot suggest? If I do a factory reset will I loose all my photos etc. from my memory card? Or could I just un-mount it and then reset?
When you pick up the call and switch the screen to MediaPlayer to play an audio, it is able to be heard from handset (receiver). Thus, you can hear the far-end voice and your local music at the same time. Is it a normal behavior? Android seems not to have the mechanism to let Mediaplayer to remember its status (to keep music pause or mute?) in the phone call. Or this is a normal design for notification sounds, such as a call- waiting sound? Is it possible to have an secondary gain feature like windows mobile in the future?

Is it normal for the screen to go off?
I've been using my Desire for three days now, and been quite happy with it. Except for the fact that I can barely get three hours of battery life out of it, with "normal" use. (A couple of text messages/MSN conversations, quick web browsing every now and then). I've tried everything, turning syncs to 6 hours intervals, switching off 3G and WiFi, reducing screen brightness etc.
But the battery still loses about 1% per 1 minute. This can't be normal, right? Is this something that will improve over time? Could I have a faulty battery that needs replacing? I don't have unrealistic expectations for the battery life, just lasting for a full working day is enough for me, and I assume that should be possible.
My T-Mobile Desire received the 2.2 update a couple of weeks ago and on Saturday I thought I'd try some 720p recording.Unfortunately the result is really disappointing; stuttering/jerky recording, poor image quality, poor sound quality etc.Can you take a quick look and tell me if I've done something wrong (wrong setting perhaps?) or if this is as good as it gets on the Desire?

I can generate an object-apace normal map already from my 3D modeler, but what I'm not completely clear on is whether or not the Normal coordinates array will be necessary any longer if implementing a 2nd texture unit for normal mapping, or will Lighting + Color Texture Combined with a Normal map via the DOT3_RGB option be all that is required?
EDIT - After researching DOT3 Lighting a bit further, I'm not sure if the answer given by ognian is correct. This page, [url] gives an example of it's usage and if you look at the "Rendering & Final Result" section bit of code, there is no normal array ClientState for Normal Arrays is never enabled.
I also found this post here,[url] which explains it well... but leads me to another question. In the comments, it's stated that instead of translation of normals, you translate light direction. I'm confused about this as if I have a game with a stationary wall... why would I move the light around just for one model? Hoping someone can give a good explanation of all of this...
so I was clearing up some room for a new app and went through managing apps and deleting some and clearing some caches. And now, I can't select any of the normal ringtones on the phone for my notification sounds. When I go Personalize > Default ringtone > select ringtone. It comes up saying 'Phone Ringtone' With options of OK and Cancel. It gives me no choice of any of the old normal tones the phone had before....what the hell is going on. Same for text noises btw.

i created a folder "ringtones" within the "media" folder and placed mp3 files within it.
the only problem being, it only notices the files when the phone has been rebooted. Is this normal?
When I press the home button on my DHD the screen goes white with the HTC logo, flashes to the home screen and then is delay of 10 seconds of longer with the loading warning running.
Is this normal?
When I use the back button to get to the home screen it does no do this.
Im looking for sumthin that would when taking a picture, save a copy of it in the normal DCIM folder, BUT also save a copy in another subdirectory... so essentially ill have 2 of them. the current camera i take a picture, then have to go through my sd card with ES file explorer and copy/paste into the backup directory. ive heard good things about "my backup pro"... but what can i do wit hthis. if i used that app would it .zip folder all my media so i could essentially just take the zip off and put it onto the media hard drive in house.

I start to receive a sms about missed calls and peoples tell me what then they call me operator says that phone is out of reach. Now the battery runs only a day. about 12 hours.
I take a look into Battery use and there shows that Android system uses about 63% Is this normal?
Since updating to 2.2 recently, my phone interface when calling has gotten worse. It has the add call, hold, mute and speaker buttons on top of the number, so I cannot see who is calling. It also overlaps the bottom part.
That is not that bad, it is more preferance. The real problem is that I can not bring up numbers while in the middle of a call. This makes calling automated numbers, or more importantly, my voicemail.
Has anyone else come across this? If so, how did you deal with it? Is there a button I am missing? Or a new phone interface I can download?
Is there any way to stop the beep which occurs after making a call on the Desire? what might cause a vibration when connecting a call received?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm having a bit of an issue with my new phone, A couple of times now I have hit the call button on the wrong person, (hand and eye coordination needs improving) and couldn't cancel it until I heard the ringing. I see the big red button "END CALL" but it seems to be disabled until the call has been connected.
Anyone even notice this or is there an setting to fix it? Please help me stop making embarrassing phone calls!
I am having issues with calling out with my GV number. I am with Verizon and everytime I try to make a call, a Verizon prompt comes on saying that the call cant be completed. I have searched the forums here and havent seen my issue posted. Is anyone else having this problem? I remember getting a GV update last week and then the problem started. I was able to call other states and countries before the update. I have tried to log out of GV and in and that doesnt work either.

I've restarted it three times, I've went in and out of flight mode a couple of times and I've selected my provider in the list both manually and through automatic.Still nothing. I've tried my SIM card in another phone and there I can call so the card in itself works fine. What really freaks me out is that I'm still able to connect to the internet through my provider. Incoming calls and SMS works fine too. It's reporting full connectivity at my current location and I've tried in several location (several kilomters apart). Does anyone have any idea what could be wrong? I've had problems when leaving airplane mode that it wouldn't register on the network but then nothing worked.

My FF cam shows myself, and Skype on the PC shows it's own webcam, but neither me nor the receiving PC can see each other's cams. I've done a reboot on both PC and EVO and still no video-to-video. I'm not saying it is the OTA that caused this, just wondering if someone else can test their Fring/Skype after the OTA has been installed to verify?
