HTC Desire : Unable For Reading Korean Incoming SMS

So I got my HTC Desire (Telus/Canada) a few days ago, and I am a complete noob when it comes to smartphones, this being my first one - but I learn very fast when it comes to these things.
Anyways - my issue is regarding reading incoming Korean SMS. I've already searched the market and installed Korean Input Keyboard which allowed me to write Korean. I've even gone to the point of installing the Korean UI through More Locale 2 to make my interface all Korean.
Anyways, the strange thing is - I can read/write Korean on my Android MSN (MSN Talk), but I cannot read incoming Korean SMS texts that may come from my friends, but on the flip-side, they can read what I'm sending them in Korean. None of my friends have the Desire (but they have android phones) so I'm left alone to search the net for a solution.
I don't want to "root" my phone - as I've found out that removes the warranty on the phone (kind of like jail-breaking I guess). I would if I've had the phone for a good 1.5~2years but since I got it only a few days ago, I'd like to avoid this. Sorry if this is in the wrong section of the forum. MOD can just move it if they wish.

I have had my desire since friday and have had no problems with it at all, in fact it is my favorite phone.
However today the incoming sms messages i was receiving were being delayed by almost two hours and it has happened several times throughout the day.I am on the orange network and the coverage in my area is excellent.
Any help would be appreciated.

Does anyone have the problem of the phone only ringing twice on incoming calls, the ringer then stops but the caller is still there, have I got a setting wrong, how can I get it to ring until I answer the call?

Just wandering if it is possible to copy part of the text in incoming SMS, so far I haven't found a solution. The only work around is forward and then, work on the text, any easier way? Also did any body try XPAL-energizer XP2000 battery bank on your Desire?

i have installed tone picker and thought i could set my mp3 as a incoming message but when i set mp3 as notification it only plays the mp3 as delivery report after i have sent a message and not when i recieve a incoming message.

For some reason I cant get ADB access with the new Korean 1.6 firmware.
I am using ubuntu 9.10 and I had access before the update.
Did anyone else have this issue and if so how did you resolve it?
I am loving this new firmware, I already noticed it is more responsive.

Noticed today that every time I get an incoming call and answer, the caller cant hear me talking. When I call them back they hear me fine, but when I answer an incoming call they can not hear me. This just started happening today.

i'm brand new to this forum (and to android in general)! i just got an HTC Desire through Telus and i absolutely adore it.however i have a very annoying problem.whenever i receive a long text message from a friend (over 130ish characters), the message is broken apart into separate text messages and the messages are not in the order in which they were sent. since i get A LOT of long messages from friends, this is a huge pain in the butt.i don't mind the long message being broken down into smaller messages, my problem is that the small messages arrive in RANDOM order.

I'm not sure if it's an issue with my Desire or my SIM card or network (T-Mobile). Basically, I will have a full signal but if a person tries to call me will be forwarded to my voicemail. I will then receive a text informing me that I have a missed call. Also, when calling a contact, there will sometimes be a long delay before it finally connects and begins to ring.

Sorry if this has been bought up in the past but how do you get the phone to vibrate on incoming messages? I have the phone set to vibrate on incoming messages but does not work. does vibrate for phone calls though.

On my Desire I have changed my default incoming ringtone (in Settings> Sound & Display> Phone ringtone, click Ok) and when I go back in to settings the change has been saved, but for some reason when I receive a call I still only get the original impatient 'ringring' tone. The same happens even if I set the tone for a contact.
Has anyone else had this issue and know how to resolve it?

the t mobile vibrant has a korean language setting on the phone but the ATT one does not have that (why att why .

Using the default message app, is there a way of turning off the incoming text preview in the notifications bar? I know you can turn off the incoming text notification altogether. But that isn't ideal. I would like the phone to vibrate and produce a notification for new incoming texts but not show message content. This can be done using "handcent" message app but I'd prefer to use the phone default.

I got my new Desire at the weekend and set up Facebook on it.
The issue I have is that my sister has our home number listed on her Facebook profile as a contact number. I have linked this profile to her contact.
I have also set up 'Home' as a person on the phone. But when the home number calls me, it shows it as being my sister calling rather than home.
Is there anyway to remove the home number from my sister's contact details without de-syncing her Facebook profile?

I'm about to buy a Motorola Droid in five hours after much consideration and reading through forums. However, one question that has addressed me is whether or not the Droid has foreign language support, specifically Korean. I want to listen to some songs with Korean titles, but I'm not sure whether or not the Droid can display Korean letters in its music app. I've heard from previous Android users that 1.5 has difficulties displaying unicode letters and just makes them boxes, similar to the old Zunes (Lol fail player) which cannot support any Asian languages. Anybody have any experience with this?
ALSO regarding the Droid Eris. Is the on screen keyboard similar to the apple iPhone's (Response time, Sensitivity) or rather similar to the LG Dare (I despise this type of keyboard, slow, vibrate very uncoordinated). And since its running android 1.5 not 2.0, does this have problems with korean too?

Has anyone else found that their keyboard is now in (what appears to be) Korean and English. I have been told to rest back to factor settings by my provider but am really reluctant to do so in case, even if I back-up, I lose all my info. Anyone got any suggestions?

Recently I bought a Korean Galaxy S and found out that Im unable use internet with it. Is there a any way to fix it? And also I want to install ICS or any other possible version newer than Eclair(2.1) which is currently on my phone. I managed to get my phone rooted using Z4Root and what to do next.
