HTC Desire : Can't Read Chinese SMS With Phone / Way To Fix
Aug 20, 2010I just got my HTC Desire yesterday (my 1st smartphone) but I can't read Chinese SMS. Does anyone know how to fix this issue? Thank you in advance.
I already checked with HTC support and below it's their reply:
"I can understand the frustration with not having the Chinese be compatible with Chinese. Unfortunately, this version with Telus is an English/French only device. If you want Chinese on the device you will need to search for a 3rd Party Application on the Market. We do not get trained in the Applications so we do not support them and you will need to do some research for them. You can Google the Chinese Language Pack as well, but again we cannot support this 3rd Party Programming and I advise to research before downloading to your device."

Apr 24, 2010I'm trying to find some really good Comics to read on the Droid. Is there a site that kind of has previews or details about Comics available on the Droid? I tried google searching but even with Advanced Techniques you get a bunch of Comics about Robot Droids.

Jun 5, 2010Can the Evo display comics from the Marvel Digital Comic site? I heard that the Android OS is better because it plays flash and the Marvel site does not work on my iPhone, so I cannot read my series of comics on my phone currently. If the Evo does this, I will literally run out and buy one today! Otherwise, I am sticking with my iPhone! I have too many damn games, like Plants vs Zombies, that I am addicted to on my iPhone!

Aug 27, 2010I've been loving my HTC Desire since the day I got it, but have one question about an annoying little thing that the phone does. Basically, whenever I get any notification like an email or text, the notification sound goes off as it should. However, if I decide not to look at the email or text, the sound will go off every minute until I read the message. Do any of you guys know if there is a way to stop this?

Why is this? I've swapped the SD cards around - i.e. the 4 GB SD card which it came shipped with is now inside my HTC HD touch It doesnt have a problem reading or writingto the 4 GB SD card that it came shipped with. I would prefer not to have to format the card

Aug 4, 2010Update my Desire to 2.2 yesterday now everytime i turn the phone on i get an error message saying: Mounted ReadOnly. The SD card has an unexpected problem. Tapping.....(cant read the rest of the message) Can anyone help with this. The only way i can access my photos or music is going via a file explorer.

Aug 15, 2010I have synced my desire with yahoo mail.The phone doesnt duplicate deletions from yahoo to phone or phone to yahoo so have to delete everything twice (Windows mobile does it.)Also when the phone goes and gets the mail from yahoo it marks them as read on the internet and unread on the phone. WM synched the read status - did not mark the yahoo mail as read when downloaded and the read status was synced from the phone to yahoo or yahoo to the phone depending on which was read first.Presume i need to download someone's app.

Oct 6, 2010I know this has most likely been discussed many times. But I am looking for a decent email widget.
At the moment I am using the default htc email widget, however when ever I read an email from my gmail account it doesnt update the read status so it still shows as unread.
I would like one that would update the read status and possible the support for unified inbox so I can see new mail from hotmail account and gmail.
