HTC Desire :: Unable To Read Facebook Messages
Apr 21, 2010I seem to have a problem with facebook messages, I get the notification ok but if I try to read them, I'm just getting a blank screen, with a URL at the top.Any ideas?

Media :: Phone Low On Space - Unable To Read Received Messages
Jun 15, 2010My phone is telling me that I have low space, but according to my computer, I have well over 3GB on my SD, which leads me to believe that text messages and applications are stored in another part on the phone or on some server. Is there a way to transfer any of these to the SD card or send them to a Gmail account? I can't even read text messages that I already received because of this and I've deleted well over 100 text messages and still can't read them.

Aug 10, 2010So today i was looking at my contacts and i noticed that anyone who has a facebook account and is linked to my contacts, has 5 linked contacts in their info. thos 5 linked contacts all being repeats of the facebook contact. its like each contact is linked to itself 5 times. i tried deleting the extra ones but it says i cannot delete a read only contact and i tried displaying only my phone contacts and disabled contact sync with my facebook account but they are still showing up. any idea of what to do?

Why is this? I've swapped the SD cards around - i.e. the 4 GB SD card which it came shipped with is now inside my HTC HD touch It doesnt have a problem reading or writingto the 4 GB SD card that it came shipped with. I would prefer not to have to format the card

May 29, 2010I have linked my facebook account to my desire and I have a couple of issues that I'm hoping someone might be able to help me with:
1. I received a text message from my credit card company, who are not in my contacts list. The phone has listed the sender as a random facebook contact who is not in my 'people' list. How has this happened and how can I fix it?
2. I have used some of my friends facebook profile photos in my people list. However, when they update their profile picture, the photo does not change on my phone. Can I do anything about this?

May 21, 2010so today my htc desire has decided that it won't send any text messages.phone calls work, signal is fine, but whenever i send a text it just buzzes and says it's unable to send. i last successfully sent a text yesterday (20th may) at 23:39. haven't installed any apps since or anything like that.i am very frustrated. this is basic stuff here that a phone should be able to do. anyway, eventually it gives up and tells me:"Unable to send message after multiple attempts."

Android : How To Read MMS Messages?
Mar 24, 2009I am unable to find updated information on how to read mms messages in android. I am able to query content://sms and content://mms. Content://mms contains a bunch of columns which i don't find information for. Atleast the returned Cursors seem to point to the mms in my phone. Now, how can i read the actual mms data? Is it intended that the official documentation contains no information at all?! As far as i understand it: The included Messaging/MMS application on my G1 is not part of android (the open source project)? So it's closed source and provided to the carrier by google/whoever? It'd be really nice to have some statement on this because i need to know whether i can read mms or not (which would be ridiculous).

Am I supposed to use the session key that this library allows me to get and make some Facebook API calls? I haven't found any code examples to even see what the proper syntax is. Feb 18, 2010Is there a way to mark text messages as read right from the notification bar? I hate when someone responds with something short enough that I can read it right from the bar. Then the only way that it will not show up as a new message on the message icon or be bold in the list, I have to click on it, open the message app, and then back out of it. Not that big of a PITA just kind of annoying when I already know the full message.

Anyway, ever since I transitioned to the replacement unit I've been noticing some strange behavior in my Gmail accounts, namely the fact that all my new email messages are being automatically marked as read. Nov 4, 2010My 'accounts & sync' settings have always had 'facebook' turned off for syncing, and I have never turned it on. Yet this morning i was playing around with the bit in 'people' to try and see if the facebook bit in there worked and i would be able to link a contact in there with their facebook account. It asked me to log into facebook (after which incidentally it could not then find the contact in facebook lol). After that i went to the calendar and it now shows ALL 2500 facebook contacts birthdays!!
Please tell me there is a way to undo this. at no point did i ever select auto facebook syncing, or choose to import facebook calendar. Obviously now the calendar is pretty unusable as there are multiple bithdays on every day.
HTC EVO 4G :: Unable To Delete Text Messages
Oct 21, 2010The problem I'm having is trying to delete a thread of 1600 text messages from one person. Everytime I try to delete, it freezes my phone & have to force close the messages. Even turning off my phone doesn't work, I have to pull the battery out.
I tried looking up some answers on the forum. One member mentioned downloading Handcent. Unfortunately, that didn't work for me either. Same issues occured, phone froze & couldn't restart phone...had to take the battery out!

Aug 4, 2010I am having an issue Delete my SMS Messages. I'm not sure how many I have, but I would guess 5000-6000. It is really slow now when I go into Messages via the HTC ap, or even if I use Handcent. I Have Tried Aps that Delete Messages/Clean out old messages, same thing. I'm sure my phone is bogged down due to the amount of messages, but I'm not sure what to do now.

Everytime i receive one it will say in the notification bar "message not downloaded, retransmission scheduled for xx:xx" and in the actual message there is an option to download but when that is selected it just reverts back to the message in the notification bar.
