Quick question, how do I turn off vibrations when I use the keyboard. Tried turning off haptic feedback but didn't do anything? I'm using the HTC IME mod for 2.2.

So I use the task killer...and at the moment say when I kill tasks it'll tell me there is about 200M avaliable memory free...if I use the phone for a day it'll maybe go down to 150M even if I am still killing apps and there is nothing in 'running services'. If i turn off the phone and turn it back on it goes up to 250M. What is running that I can't stop myself to make it go down from the 250M but that I can just eliminate by turning off the phone?

I have turned off vibrate functions for typing and through keyboard and languages. Is there a way to disable vibration as a remote ( did not see it in settings of the tv app ) to save battery life?
After discussion with htc directly this is not possible to turn off vibration as a remote control
Has anyone found a way to fix the weak vibrations on the Incredible? I can barely feel my phone go off in my pocket, let alone hear/feel it while it's sitting half a foot away from me on a desk. I don't really miss my Black Berry too much, but this is one big thing that I do miss.
View 1 Replies View RelatedAt work I have my phone in my pocket, on vibrate, quite a bit and a lot of times I don't feel the initial vibration. So I end up missing the message until I physically take the phone out and look to see if I have any messages. My Dare that I just upgraded from sent out a vibration every couple of minutes until I checked the phone and dismissed the notifications. Would love to find out if this is possible with the DI.

This may not be enough vibration for me to notice at times while its in my pocket. Is there away to adjust the frequency of vibrations?
View 5 Replies View Relatedso, today all my vibrations stopped working. no haptic feedback. i checked all my settings, no problem there. phone not on silent. tried a restart, no good. so then, i shook the crap out of my phone and holy crap, that worked. all my vibrations are working again. does that mean there's a problem with the vibrator hardware?

I am currently using the Android Keyboard but I want to use the Samsung Keyboard because it fixes common typed errors (although the Android Keyboard Settings says it does too, but it doesn't) However, when I switch to Samsung Keyboard, every letter I press it makes an awful clicking popping noise. I know there is no setting under Samsung Keyboard Settings for Sound on Keypress but there is one under Android Keyboard. I have turned it off but the Samsung Keyboard keeps making the clicking/popping noise.

Basically, I think the HTC keyboard is a bit too cluttered, and would prefer to use the default android keyboard (introduced in 2.1 I think, includes a voice entry button to the left of spacebar).
I've been looking to swap out the HTC Desiree's keyboard for one with voice search in it. I installed Verizon's keyboard 2.1 but can't find a way of enabling it. I think it appears as 'Android Keyboard' under MENU > SETTINGS > LANGUAGE & KEYBOARD, but even although I ticked the box to use it, it still doesn't appear, defaulting to the HTC one instead.
