Once a contact is synced with Facebook, their number on facebook becomes their primary number.
The problem is, if it begins with 44, I cannot call or text them and it is really beginning to piss me off. They can text and ring me fine.

I'm using a Sprint EVO 4G LTE with the very latest CM10 Toasted Deck and I'm having this strange issue.
If I try to dial numbers that start with a +, it just dial. Says "Call Ended" immediately. So for example:
212-555-2424 would work fine but +1 212-555-2424 would get call ended.
The phone is working AMAZING other than that and I love CM10, I don't want to do a system wipe for just 1 small issue.
Since updating to 2.2 recently, my phone interface when calling has gotten worse. It has the add call, hold, mute and speaker buttons on top of the number, so I cannot see who is calling. It also overlaps the bottom part.
That is not that bad, it is more preferance. The real problem is that I can not bring up numbers while in the middle of a call. This makes calling automated numbers, or more importantly, my voicemail.
Has anyone else come across this? If so, how did you deal with it? Is there a button I am missing? Or a new phone interface I can download?
Is there anyway to limit the numbers shown by the Message app to just 'Mobile' numbers?

I`am using Call Control now. This app can block non-numerical numbers. But no whitelist support.
Answer: information from cellular providers and from banks comes from such numbers. But they trapped in spam and you have always to look blocked log.
I have been able to text these individuals in the past but all of a sudden my messages aren't received. they are sent on my end (or at least I press send).
I'm not sure what the problem is- but one of them is my boss and we have been able to text with no issues then all of a sudden he thinks I'm not answering his texts when in fact I received his text and replied back the information he needed but he didn't get the reply. I've sent several "test" texts and they just aren't going through; I can receive from him but can't send back. But I can text my sister perfectly.
In a nutshell I did a factory reset and wiped cache on a rooted incredible and am now stuck at that "Touch android to begin" tutorial screen. I was running stock recovery before all of this mess because I was going to upgrade to 2.2.
When I touch the android guy as opposed to going onto the regular setup it will go to the dialer except there's a grayed out "call ended" button. You can access the dialer but there's no cell connection so its useless. There's no way to escape this setup and get to anything resembling a home screen. Nothing will mount to my PC either, although its recognized as "android bootloader interface". I've been searching around the forums and it doesn't seem to be bricked as I can enter the stock recovery. I even tried to upgrade to 2.2 but I get that "status 7" error and it aborts.
I had done titanium and nandroid backups before I attempted anything but I'm on stock recovery so its not like I can restore.
I have recently upgraded from an Samsung Instinct to an HTC Hero. I am currently on my second phone. The first one had a major OS glitch. As the service tech stated it was possessed. I am into my new replacement for about 2 weeks now. Currently, I am having horrible luck with the phone. The keyboard lags, the phone auto dials random numbers while scrolling the phone book and today while talking to my wife it made a conference call to my wife. Also the weather feature on the clock won't update the location unless I manually refresh it. These are just a few of the things I have noticed. I currently am running advanced app killer to save on battery life and the phone is up to date on the software. My brother has an HTC Touch through T-Mobile and it rocks and I have other friends with android phones and they don't experience the same issues.

1. (and most annoying)- Black screen on incoming calls. Phone just freezes on black screen and I just cant answer the phone or do anything else for that matter. Just have to remove the back cover and battery.
2. lot less free memory after the update. using taskkiller but still- even after killing all non-system processes i have about 30MBs less memory
3. google maps, footprints, people, peep, stocks, gmail and some others keep opening by themselves, though ive killed the apps with appkiller.
4. so-many-mentioned lag on making calls. also. every-now-and-then while on call it makes another call to the same person and puts active one on hold...
5. does not recocnise some contacts and just shows their numbers when on in or outgoing call.
I've done several reeboots and also some hard resets on the device but still no use.Seriously concidering switching over to rooted ROM...
Any way to block my son's phone from calling or texting specific phone numbers? I want him to be able to add phone numbers and contacts, but be unable to call or text a couple of specific phone #s. Is there a way to do this? I have Verizon but their number blocking service only works for incoming calls, not for outgoing.

The little robot (foryo or whatever) is a cute logo.. but it looks like a waving dildo.. Often times I have to answer calls in front of customers, family and friends. So if they have a work, home and mobile it also gives me the ability to send messages to all 3 of those numbers, why? I tried the pattern lock thing it has but if a call comes through or a text message comes through it still allows you to answer and/or view the message without entering the lock pattern..
I want to let users input a postal code to my app. The common use case is the US zip code, which are composed solely of numbers, so I'd like to display the numeric keyboard initially in the soft input. However, not all postal codes are solely digits, so I still need users to be able to enter other characters.
I've been trying to do this with android:inputType, but by setting the "number" flag, it automatically blocks any input except for number-based stuff. Is there a way to just accept general text, but get the soft keyboard to initially display a more number-based keyboard?
Is there a way to block text messages from specific numbers? I don't want to receive the message at all.

When I add peoples phone numbers and sync with Face book sometimes I lose the phone number or they disappear all together I save my contacts via goggle, I'm not sure if any other way would make a difference. Let me explain : When I go on PEOPLE I see my contacts there , if I click on them I cant see any phone number or mail nothing it just show me the contact name then under the name I see DETAILS then INFORMATION and down I can read ringtone and send to voicemail and then last Edit. Why is that? I dont think is normal and honestly makes me really depressed coz I cant call normally.
