View 2 RepliesCan you set the scenes to automatically switch depending on time of day on the phone? I'd definitely use them if at 8am Mon-Fri the scene switched to Work. At 6pm Mon-Thur it would be nice for it to switch to the default home screen. 6pm Fri I'd like it to switch to the Play scene. Is this a capability or do you have to change them manually via menu system?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI've recently discovered the joy of launcherpro plus and the freedom it gives me but I wanted to know how many "scenes" I can save so I can keep experimenting without losing my creations? When I go to "Personalize" and "Scenes" in the settings options, it doesn't seem to want to let me save my current setup?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a problem with an HTC Desire. I have an emailaddress that does not require authentication for the outgoing mail. I've unchecked the "authentication required" tickbox and saved the settings.
Somehow the phone automatically resets the Authentication setting and there I can't send email.
My question: how can I prevent the Desire from automatically place a checkmark next to "Authentication Required"?
Is there an app available that will change the wallpaper automatically on different intervals?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI've got it set to change my wallpaper every 30 minutes, but it's not changing it at all unless I do it manually. Tried to go to their "official" site, flikie.com, but it's down for renovation. Anybody know what to do or who to email?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have three ListView widgets in the same LinearLayout. Something like this (I'm omitting XML elements that are not relevant in this example):
CODE:..............
This forces the list to have a height of 360 dip. Of course, that will be its height even if there are few list items. So, my question is how can make the lists have an automatic height? What I want is that the ListView height takes the exact size of the sum of all its list items.
I have just got a HTC desire recently and am astonished at how short the battery life is. I downloaded the app killer and put the widget on my desktop. When I press it it shows me what apps are running. I clear them all but within minutes of me not touching ny phone they all are running again 8 in total I believe. Amongst the apps are Flickr, peep, footprints....
View 7 Replies View RelatedI have some queries:
1- I have Desire with Froyo. So, technically whenever I install an app, I should be given an option to install it on SD card. But so far, haven't seen it yet, consequently today I got a message that phone memory is running low. So, please help me out.
2- Secondly, last night due to some reason I opened navigation first time and there came two pop-ups asking me for some settings. I ticked them and then a satellite logo appeared on top bar. Does it consume a lot of battery?
3- So far I have set many applications on automatic updates but I have observed that I have to always update them manually. They don't get updated automatically.
I've noticed that my Desire is automatically deleting my emails from my inbox after a few days. I've tried looking in the obvious places to change this but without any luck.I'm not using a gmail account just my own private email account for my emails. How can I change my email account so that I decide when to delete emails from my account?
View 6 Replies View RelatedIs there an app to switch off the phone at automatic times? I.e, turns off at midnight so no calls in the night, but switches on before the alarm goes off? I'm fairly sure the alarm doesn't currently go off if the phones off, some of my previous phones have been forced on by the alarm.
View 5 Replies View RelatedThis phone looks sweet, and my friends are impressed by the sleek looking widgets on the screens, but I don't have the heart to tell them that the widgets don't update automatically. This is most visible in the FriendFeed, and "News" widget, but I suspect may also affect the Weather and even the People widget. My "Background Data" and "Auto Sync" settings are on. For example my phone was at my home for most of the weekend, where I have wifi. But as of Monday morning, the FriendFeed is still showing Friday's updates.
View 6 Replies View RelatedHow come the auto screen brightness doesn't seem to change how bright the screen is? The sensor itself is working fine, as using the proxylight sensor app (free on the market) it does actually register changes in light.Sent from my HTC Desire using Tapatalk
View 12 Replies View RelatedMy Desire has restarted itself a number of times automatically. Twice it restarted when I powered it up. It powered up and then restarted. Three times, it restarted while I was using the Navigation app. I wasn't actually using the turn by turn navigation. I started it and just started up the map. It worked for about a minute and then the phone restarted. The restart while the Navigation app was running happened twice today.
Has anyone had similar experiences? Do you recall what you were doing when it restarted?
I would love to make my telephone switch my computer off when I go out of the house, when I leave a zone.
Is there any way of doing that? All it would need to, is send an e-mail or something.
I am a new user of HTC desire and wanted to know can I have my phone to download all emails and their attachments together rather than going to individual emails to download its attachment?
I have a HTC Desire, running Froyo on the o2 network. My text messages automatically deleted during the middle of the night, this has happened once before... but paid no attention to it, thinking it a one off. Has this happen to anyone else?

My Desire is changing the ringtones I've set to seemingly random mp3's stored on the phone. I reset all my ringtones last night (for Calls, twitter notification noise, sms alert noise and reminder noise). But this morning they are all set to different mp3's. Ruling out that someone stuck into my room overnight and manually changed them all.
View 14 Replies View RelatedMy desire was taking approx 40mins to power down so I installed an task killer to show me what was running in the back round. I was astounded approx 25 apps were continually running in the backround so by killing these apps powering down now only take 15secs max. However, ive become a bit obsessed with this task killer. i keep checking what is running and there are things on there that i have never used such as "you tube", "news" "talk" etc. Could someone please point me in the right direction about how i stop these apps from running without me requesting them too? I know a lot of say task killers are not essential but it has certainly shown me the reason why my desire was running so slowly. Also one more thing, after powering off my phone, when restarting, ALL the apps automatically start running then? Is there a startup menu that can be editted for example?
View 3 Replies View RelatedGot a problem since 2.2 thats bugging me and draining battery life, in 2.1 I'd used Advanced Task Killer to kill all Apps I did'nt want which was fine, more often than not it was just Apps i'd manually started that popped up for killing. Now I find in 2.2 that theres Apps that start running without me even opening them and sometimes its 7-8 Apps at once which cant be good for battery life (and I've noticed a drop in that). Anyone else finding this? Anyway to stop apps Automatically starting once I connect to the Internet for example? as alot of them pop up after I do that, but other times the phones on idle and I select ATK and theres some appeared on it, last thing I want to do is check ATK every 10mines just to save battery.
View 7 Replies View RelatedTitle says it all really, the widget worked fine until yesterday, it hasn't been updating at all automatically, and when I try to update manually, it just loads no tweets and the time at the bottom changes to present, as if it actually done something but it doesn't.
View 9 Replies View RelatedIs there such as APP which I could run to "re-reset" the sounds I set. Now and then the sounds are reset to the default and it is annoying. When I detect it, I have the fun going through setting the noises back to what I want. This is annoying. I thought when I set the sounds they were "saved" somewhere. But setting the sounds again and again, and again.
View 7 Replies View RelatedThis used to work seamlessly but since the 2.2 update.Whenever i arrive home from work i turn wifi on and all connects well. If i then leave the house and return the wi-fi fails to reconnect automatically. This has only happened since i carried out the update and noticed someone else on another thread has exactly the same problem on vodafone eforum. Is there a solution? Currently i need to turn wi-fi off and back on again and it works, not the end of the world but a pain since it used to work so well! I've tried y5 to try and force it, to no avail and carried out a reset (not full factory just remove battery etc).

View 35 Replies View RelatedI ALWAYS have my carrier 3g network and blu-tooth turned off at all times using the power control widget that came with my HTC Desire. but when i turn on my phone, my carrier network and blu-tooth are turnred on, and my mail and some other things get refreshed, using up data.
Is there a good widget or app that permanently stops the network and blu-tooth from turning on unless i do it manually? i cant find one on the market! i only set my refreshes of my mail to just once a day, and is there a way to set these refreshes to none a day, just manually?
With the HTC Desire, is there any way of setting up a bluetooth connection to connect automatically, eg hands free kit in a car or do you have to manually connect each time?
