Title says it all really, the widget worked fine until yesterday, it hasn't been updating at all automatically, and when I try to update manually, it just loads no tweets and the time at the bottom changes to present, as if it actually done something but it doesn't.

So I have had my Evo rooted for a few weeks and the only weird thing going on is that the click widget isn't updating. I have gone to settings, turn it on, but once I return to the main page, it unchecks.
View 1 Replies View RelatedOver the past couple days, it seems like my Weather Channel app hasn't been working properly. When I move to the home screen that has the widget, it will be displaying the wrong temperature and picture (i.e. it might be showing "partly sunny" when it's night time). It just shows the temperature for the last time I opened the app.So, I click on the widget to open the app, and it brings me to one of the screens and it just says "N/A", while a green circle rotates in the upper-right corner. After a few seconds, it finally updates and shows me the current temperature/forecast (whichever screen I was in last).I've never had these problems before, up until the past few days. Usually I would just move over to my other home screen, look at the temp, and move back. It would always be [somewhat] updated by itself (usually every 30-60 minutes it seemed). Now it doesn't update until I actually open the app.Any ideas or suggestions? Or is anyone else having this problem? I am using the Droid Eris. I restarted the phone yesterday, still doing the same thing.
View 2 Replies View RelatedLove my new Desire but having gripes with Twitter on the Peep client. Doesn't seem as if you can install an effective alternative client either.
My twitter timeline wasn't updating in Peep. It said, No Tweets. It lied. I could see @ messages and dms and even new tweets scrolling in the notification bar at the top of the screen, but NOTHING in the main timeline.
Tried refreshing, re-synching, updating location, to no avail.
The only way I've managed to get the timeline to show now, was to go into Settings and Apps and clear all the database data from Peep. Then sign out and sign in again.
I have a very funny problem with my DHD news widget. It won't update. I have tried to force it to update, removed all my subscriptions and re-added them, cleared the cache and stored data. All with various cycles of turning the phone on and off. No luck. It is now a blank widget and when I try to add RSS feeds it won't list any and effectively nothing happens when I tap the widget.

I am unable to uupdate the phone to any other build because it checks AT&T servers for updates. Since I am on Tmobile, it will never find updates. II've tried to use Kies. When i update my status on friendstream, it automatically updates my facebook and twitter status. I'm trying to figure out how to only update my FB status when I post to friendstream, without updating my twitter status BUT still receive other people's twitter updates. I've tried unchecking 'sync friend' and 'sync peep' in settings but that didn't work. evo 4g.

I basically want a widget which has a simlar layout as the twitter widget.As you can see the tweet text nicely wraps around the AUTHOR element. This can be done with one TextView using the following method: http://developer.android.com/guide/appendix/faq/commontasks.html#sele.The problem is that its a widget and i only have access to the ui elements using the RemoteViews.I was thinking of using a layout manager for this, but its impossible because textviews are always rectangular.So how do i do this? View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen i first fired up the wildfire it had the news widget on the homescreen ready to go on BBC news. I liked the fact it automatically refreshed the news every so often. Now it has stopped working via the widget. I have tried removing and reinstalling the news widget but the widget just hangs on the message 'loading news'. I can still refresh the news headlines by going into the app but it seems an unnecessary hassle when it used to do this automatically. Why and how to fix this? The phone settings all lok okay.

movePrevious() moveNext() scrollToChild( int pos ) but the visibility of this methods is default or private. So i can't override this functions, if I Inherit from Gallery class.

I know I can change the security settings in Froyo to where it locks when the display is off, meaning I could use the power button on my Droid X, but I don't want it to lock every time the screen dims. In other words I want:
a) phone locks on a timed basis (say, 10, 15, 20 minutes of inactivity)
b) phone locks when I tell it to via app/widget
I tried searching for such an app/widget but most of what I found was just enhancements for the lock screen or replacements that didn't address this problem.
What are my options for a replacement? I liked the fact that the stock HTC one took up all of one of my home screens, so I'm looking for something at least similar.

I like Seesmic but the widget is just too small for my taste. I can only see the very last tweet. It would be nice to have a widget where either tweets from multiple accounts are combined or there is the option to switch between the accounts quickly directly from the widget. Any suggestions?
I'm having a problem with the clock/weather widget on my Hero. I have it set to Current City and I noticed the other day that the weather wasn't updating. ( I live in Long Beach, CA) It was stuck on one weather. I especially noticed when it still said partly sunny at 11pm. It doesn't work even if i try to manually update.
I thought it was just the current city function that was having trouble registering but when I go to other cities nearby it updates fine. And when I specifically set it to Long Beach, CA, it was still stuck and not updating.
Anyone else having this problem? Is there something wrong with the weather equipment in Long Beach?
