View 2 RepliesI only heard about this today from a telus rep. I thought apps were saved to internal when that was full it moved to sd automatically. No it only goes to internal memory DANG! so that means i can only have a few downloaded at a time. Whats the solution? Will 2.2 fix it? I heard 3.0 will?
View 18 Replies View RelatedTrying to figure out why I can't open file attachments from emails. Received some pdf files and two doc files today. Tried opening files from email with pdf reader program and quickoffice or whatever its called. Neither type of file would open. Tried to download then open files with same problem. Files are definitely .pdf and .doc, just opened and rad them on laptop now. Also confused...is there any way to look at my SD card folders and files through a phone app? Can't figure out how to see anything other then my music and photos.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI recently rooted my Epic 4G following this guide: joeykrim-SDX Permanent Root for Epic (and Verizon Fascinate).I then went ahead and removed some of the "bloatware" applications using this guide here: [GUIDE] How to Remove Pre-Installed Apps for FREE - xda-developers.I did successfully root my phone, and the applications I removed are no longer there, but now the shortcuts that can be placed in the Home (or any section) no longer remain after I shutdown the phone. Widgets and Folders on the other hand do get saved by the phone and remain after a reboot. Is there something that I may have removed that shouldn't have been? and if so is it easy to recover? Would a custom ROM fix this situation? Or is there a program that I can use to restore all the default applications (without un-rooting).

View 3 Replies View RelatedI usually view email with attachments from my pc because I usually lack the time to download the attachment. Today, I had some spare time so I tried to download an attachment. It downloaded fine but when I went to view it, I received a pop-up box to save it to the sd card. After pressing ok, I was told the save was successful but now I can't find it. Aside from pics and videos, how do I access other folders with saved data?

View 5 Replies View RelatedI took the plunge and returned my iPhone 4 today and got the SC. As a past Blackberry user as well I have basic functionality needs of a email app and this may be the deal breaker. I have my Exchange account setup and working however when I open or select an email there is no option to move the email to a folder. So am I blind or screwed! My brother has an HTC Incredible and his has an option to Move. Did Samsung hide it?

I'd like to start getting my music and pictures etc., on my Wildfire. I've got an 8gb micro-SD card. Question is how does the phone read the card? Do I have to set up folders on the card such as Music, Photos, Videos etc., or do I just pile all my files on the card and the phone then sorts out what's what?

I bought a new 8gb transcend class 6 for my hero and took out the old card and put the new one in and formatted it. Looked at the original 2 gb card and has lots of folders. Question is: do I have to copy and paste the old folders to the new card or will the phone automatically set up new folders? Phone's relatively new so I don't care about the existing photos and whatnot and do I create specific folders myself i.e. mp3, pics, etc.

View 12 Replies View RelatedAnyone know if there is an app (or PC program) that will scan the SD card and determine what folders are no longer needed that are left over from uninstalled apps? I have installed/uninstalled tons of apps and I still see folders on the SD card from apps I know that I no longer have. I have deleted the ones I know are safe to remove but there are some with names that are a little less descriptive of what they were for. I know I could just google each folder name and probably figure each one out individually but I thought there might be an app for it.
View 1 Replies View RelatedJust got this phone last week, and besides the battery life I'm quite enjoying it. This weekend I was visiting some friends I haven't seen in a long time, we had a few beers and then got a bright idea. My friend has a work phone with an 8GB MicroSD card that he doesn't use. So, we swapped memory cards. Now I'm 4 states away and just now realized that I should have copied the folders onto the new card. Anyone have a zip file with the "stock" folders and info for these phones? I tried searching but it seems I have a rather unique twist to a common issue.
View 3 Replies View RelatedIs anyone aware of a way to organize pictures on the Eris? I have almost 400 pics all listed under Camera shots and, of course, anytime I am looking for 1 specific pic, I have to filter through them all. I have tried everything that I know of on my phone outside of just purging pics. If I create separate folders on my SD card, will it display that way in the album?

I've just been doing a bit of exploring via Astro and have noticed that my photos are stored in a folder titled DCIM.Inside this folder there are a few folders and loose files.thumbnails - contains a few files but I have no idea what they are. There are 13 random photos (not in their own folder) which were in the gallery when I received the phone. An empty Camera folder - what is this for? 100 Media - A folder with all the pictures I have taken.Could somebody clarify what the .thumbnails folder and Camera folder are for? Also, can I "tidy up" this area of my phone, and would the phone still recognise and find the files? Could I create a folder which newly taken photographs will automatically be located?
