HTC Desire :: 2.2 Came With No Equalizer
Sep 28, 2010This makes man unhappy.
Yes I registered just to moan about that.
Read about the root install, all sounds complicated. Why no equalizer? My bloody iPhone had one.

Is there one kicking around or in dev?
View 8 Replies View RelatedDoes the dsp-based equalizer referenced here [[TIP] Installing DSP-based equalizer on Android 2.2 stock ROMs.xda-developers ] work with Virtuous? It says stock roms and while Virtuous is not vastly different from stock it, nonetheless, is not totally stock. Thanks in advance for your feedback if you know.

View 1 Replies View RelatedDoes anyone know of a way to adjust the eq on music? Either by custom or rock, rap, jazz, etc.
Also, is there anyway to make it so that music will cut off if headphones are unplugged? I have accidentally unplugged my headphones at work and the music starts blasting and I am embarassed.
I just got the brand new Droid 2 Global, trading up (WAY up) from a BlackBerry Tour. The audio settings for my earbuds show "audio effects" that can be enabled, but the only one that works is "effects profile", which is a "sound stage" stereo separation thing. The other two are Surround and Equalizer, but they are grayed out and don't work. The Equalizer is stuck on the Extreme Bass setting. What gives? Why isn't there an actual EQ function on this thing?
View 2 Replies View RelatedThis is one thing that annoys me about mp3 playback on the Droid, the lack of an equalizer. Does anyone know if they are planning on adding one in a future firmware update or if there's a good 3rd party app that has one?

Any music players out there with eq? Pref free... I do not care about streaming or leeching from youtube and other junk.. just playlists, play files and a eq.... if it can play flac, monkey and other music files besides mp3 that would be double awesome... but eq is the top priority.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI've had this happen on both my old 2003 Mustang with an after market head unit and my new 2011 Nissan Altima. The Nissan has a factory aux plug so I don't think it's an incompatibility between hardware? Basically what happens is, I plug my phone in and start playing music, but the song doesn't take on the properties of the equalizer app. If I go into equalizer and change a frequency, it says "Equalizer has stopped." and then it restarts and THEN my equalizer settings apply to whatever currently plays.
If I go into Google Play and change the song or let the song finish and shuffle to the next play, the equalizer effects stop. My phone is a GSM Galaxy Nexus. I'm running AOKP with Franco kernel and all of the sound mods are disabled.
Does anyone have problems with sound when playing music. I seem to be have one channel missing when I play Pandora or my personal music. It sound like one side of the songs is coming through but through both speakers. is there and equalizer app out there?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI was wondering if anyone knew of an Audio Booster or Equalizer for Android. I have searched the App Store but haven't found one yet. I use to have a Touch Pro and HTC had an Audio Booster program that let you have an equalizer that you could change while listening to music (only with headphones plugged in) from Hip Hop to Rock and etc...

I rooted my Nexus 7(Wifi only), v4.2.1, with the Nexus 7 Toolkit v4.0.0. Since then the Equalizer presets from google's music app is gone and I cannot adjust the bass boost or 3D effect.
Update: I just restored back to stock and that solved the problem. May try to root again in future.
I am extremely happy with my X10i, and yesterday I received and installed the latest update with no problems; however, I have a few questions:
1) Why is it that you do not give us "permission" to uninstall things such as the Moxier suite and PlayNow (which is unavailable to us in the USA) without us having to resort to the extreme of rooting?
2) Why is it that you do not give us access to equalizer settings? Again, only through rooting, can we get access to this. (note: the 3rd party apps in Android store are all junk) Would it be that difficult to add an equalizer in MediaScape?
3) Why is it that Skype comes preinstalled on the X1, but not on the X10? I'm on the T-Mobile network, and here in the USA, Skype for Android is only available to those on the Verizon network. I am forced to use Nimbuzz (which is a great application by-the-way), but it would be nice to have the actual Skype application that is available on the X1. If you got "permission" to preinstall it on the X1, I would assume you can do the same with the X10.
I truly believe that the X10 is an "iCrap" killer; however, if the little things I mention above were to be addressed, in my opinion, this would make a lot of X10 users happy, and make the X10 truly an IPhone killer in the eyes of others.
I have android 4.2.1 and i tried to install beats audio on it, it didn't work well so I deleted it using URL....Beats was gone but now I cannot access default android equalizer, when I open it is like this now,.

View 3 Replies View RelatedSince I've been using the cm 10 and 10.1 based roms (4.1.x and 4.2.x, respectively) I've noticed the DSP Manager or Awesome beats audio effects randomly stop effecting the sound. It was noted here:
HTML Code: [URL] .....
That pausing and playing the audio player will re-enable the EQ effects. I normally use Google Music on the HTC Rezound running a variant of CM10.1 (4.2.2) but others have stated other devices and are doing this as well.
I just played with it by force closing the DSP manager process while listening to music. This did not in and of itself stop the EQ effects. Once I reopened the DSP manager app and again stop/start or pause played the effect was re enabled. Simply restarting the DSP manager app did not re enable the effect.
Does any one know of any audio players with good sound or an equalizer for free or reasonable priced.
