I had installed Beats Audio Installer which did improved the Quality of Sound on my Headsets and even Beats Headset were Supported...but it spoiled the sound of my phone Speaker.. that is.. Crackling and low sound on some Default Presets of MusicFX. so i had to uninstall it. after Removing Beats.. My Phone Speaker Problem got Fixed but.. MusicFX is working no longer. wen i choose sound effects in default ICS music Player. it Says "Unfortunately MusicFX stopped Working". i tried Clearing Cache and Data of Both Music player and MusicFX but nothing works. I even installed third party Equalizers but all crashes showing Same Message. I even Installed N7 Music player and when i select its Equalizer it says. "But we cannot Initialize Equalizer."
View 3 Replies View RelatedSince I've been using the cm 10 and 10.1 based roms (4.1.x and 4.2.x, respectively) I've noticed the DSP Manager or Awesome beats audio effects randomly stop effecting the sound. It was noted here:

That pausing and playing the audio player will re-enable the EQ effects. I normally use Google Music on the HTC Rezound running a variant of CM10.1 (4.2.2) but others have stated other devices and are doing this as well.
I just played with it by force closing the DSP manager process while listening to music. This did not in and of itself stop the EQ effects. Once I reopened the DSP manager app and again stop/start or pause played the effect was re enabled. Simply restarting the DSP manager app did not re enable the effect.
Recently I deleted contacts out of my phone that I now need to retrive.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have an LG G2 and I am using a pair of LG Tones. Whenever I click the Hands-Free button it automatically launches the Android voice dialer. It is slow, unaccurate, and obnoxious. I can use my Tones along with other voice assistant apps but I cannot change the app that is automatically launched after clicking the Hands-Free button. After all, that's why I have the Tones. I wanted to know if there was a way to substitute the default Android dialer.
Other info:
Clearing the defaults is not an option. It came as the default.
Disabling the voice dialer makes the Hands-Free button do nothing. (Interstingly enough, when trying to use my play/pause button it also wouldn't work. The other functions like volume and forward and previous track may also not have worked but I don't know I didn't try. After re-enabling the voice dialer all functions resumed functioning.)
Conclusion: I love my phone and my tones but this Voice Dialer is horrendous. Even on my S4, the default is S Voice which is even better than this.
Where do I find the "Default SMS" option? I haven't found it anywhere in settings.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI was in the default SMS ringtone settings as I wanted to separate SMS notification tone from the tone used for the other notifications and I accidently it to 'Facebook Pop' tone. Now I don't get the Samsung default 'whistle' tone on my Note 3 that I want and I don't know how to change it back. When I select the 'select ringtone' option just takes me to a memory folder paths and there is no sign of any of the default ringtones anywhere. I just want the factory ringtone back. Why does Google have to complicate things by taking you to the general folder paths just to select a ringtone? How to remove the Facebook Pop tone and get me back to the default whistle tone that I have selected in the system sound settings? There seems to be no way of accessing the device folders which appears in ES Explorer, there are only the external and internal memory folders available, making it impossible to access the default tone directly unless I copy it from the system folder via ES Explorer and paste it to a folder within the internal memory. Why can't Google allow direct access to default tones within the default SMS app in the ringtone selection pane? It seems like an obvious thing to do which the stupidly left out of even the latest OS. I'm running 4.3 Android.
P.S. it seems now that even in the system settings itself in the sound settings the default notification setting takes me to the same folder path rather than before where I could simply select from a small number of preinstalled notification tones. The call ringtones are unaffected and can simply select a ringtone without being taken to any stupid folder paths, but the notification setting is whacked because I dabbled with the SMS app settings. How stupid are the Google Android time, why can they do it as well as Apple?
Any app ideas on a pop up/quick reply option for someone using hangouts as default messaging app, until they add hopefully add one in?
Currently trying sms pop up notifier, but with it I get 2 copies of every sms.

I select the page where all the apps are...select xbmc app...sometimes it flicks back to main apps page other times the screen turns black/blank. View 4 Replies View RelatedI backed up all system apps and info with Titanium Backup. Made sure that the apps I was uninstalling were backed up. Then uninstalled the default messaging app because I use chompsms. Turns out chomp as well as handcent use part of the default messaging app. No big deal, go back into TB and restore it. But its not there. It seems that TB just creates a link to the market place and the default app is not available there. Unless I'm mistaken, I need someone to upload the default messaging app and it's location, (TB didn't tell me where it was) so I can actually have messages show up in handcent or chomp. Next time I'll just change the name of default apps...

The 4.3 update has completely screwed my phone:

Checked that there is no newer update. Also, installed Kies 3.0 and it tells me my OS is not supported for updates via Kies either.
how to wipe out this update and go back to the stock original rom (4.1.1 i think).

View 7 Replies View RelatedTrying to root the phone. I'm not a linux pro... but I can't get the su binaries in the /system/bin folder. It won't let me mount the system saying 'Over-lap error'.
AND When I run deamon, it will start, then it will say it doesn't exist. But it's in the bin folder. Not the su though. Also, I can't connect to HTC through their software to sync or unlock the bootloader.

Just updated my HTC one mini to 4.3. Since updating emoticons do not show up in text messages when i type them or receive them in the standard format such as ": )" they stay as the code. They do not show up as an actual emoticon like Is there a way to enable emoticons to appear or am i stuck with selecting emoticons from the drop down menu each time I want one. Also when receiving texts with emoticons in codes such as ": )" they do not show up as emoticons.

"Android System" is using 91% battery. I've disabled location services, backup and so forth, but the problem persists. I've tried flashing various ROMs, including stock sense, stock GE and Android Revolution HD 21. The problem is there with all of them.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI've been using the Galaxy Note 3 for the last 2 months but I still have my iPhone 5. Something that I've noticed is that a lot of videos that play on ios don't play on android. And if I can play the video on my Android then the video is much more laggy and not as clear than on my iPhone 5. These are regular websites like sports websites (nhl, nba, espn etc) or Team Stream app/website, or random other sites that have videos for mobile devices. Sometimes (with my Android) on sites, the video shows the play button, but the video still doesn't play. I don't understand this because on my iPhone 5 the videos play perfectly, load much quicker, play and look smoother, and just look more clear. Or is this just something that android lacks in its OS?
