What's the best way to determine why all of a sudden my battery is losing it's charge more quickly than normal? I checked battery usage in settings and everything seems reasonable. I can't think of a newly installed app that might be causing it. (HTC Rezound, ICS) ADR6425LVW

i have been using xperia P for more than a year and um quite happy with it except one fact which is the battery drain issue. my phone is running stock JB with nemesis 6.3 kernel and some other excellent mods.but when the battery level is below 40-30% it suddenly falls below 20% both with the stamina mode on and off! i have tried almost all the stock based custom roms and this issure persists.this doesn't happen when the battery level is above 40%, i have been facing this issue since i bought it!

I tried installing new rom but now as soon as I turn on the device it works for like 2 minutes in its real charging percent (e.g 60%) then crashes and restarts to 0%
The battery is original and It's not swollen.
A random warning message occassionally pops up on my samsung galaxy fascinate. It says: "Warning: Battery is losing charge too fast. Tap here to download and fix now". At the top of my phone, on the status bar, there is a small icon of a red battery with a line through it. How did I start getting this notification and how do I get rid of it? It's like a spyware or something, I think.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI've been here and XDA for quite a while but I recently started getting an increase of battery loss. Yes I know all about the not charging anymore once reaching 100% but that isn't the problem. I flashed Myns 2.2 R3 a while ago along with Kings #11 CFS. I was so happy when I realized it would take ~30 hours with occasional use and BeeJive running to hit 15% and warn me about low battery. It was only giving me ~23 hour with the same settings on Fresh 3.4.0.1. A few days ago, it started dropping rapidly and I'm not sure what caused but I was able to narrow it down to a few things. I remembered on that day, I dropped it once. I prayed to god it was okay. Picked it up and everything was working fine. I go and install a few updates and forget about it. Didn't notice the battery drop until the next day. I was only getting ~17 hours with everything kept the same way. Is there a log that I can access of everything I changed? I used Google nav for about 8 hours non-stop and while it was charging 2 nights ago, the battery never increased. That has never happened before, it would always charge more than it would drain. I didn't want to wipe and flash everything back since it's going to be a long week. Had a family gathering yesterday and gave my little cousins the phone to play with since it had so many games. There's another dinner tonight and wiping it would be out of the option now and until next week. Even then I think I'll be hesitant to do so since I don't even know if the problem lies within the apps.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI got my Eris aroudn the end of Novemeber or early Dec. Conditioned the battery as I followed on here. Now, the past two full charges this weekend haven't lasted at all. Battery draining super fast. I easily get 1 1/2-2 days on full charge, minimal phone useage/text/basic net. Full charge this AM, two texts, maybe 5 minutes total internet and now late afternoon re dlining and low battery level coming on.Defective, shot, or something else? I was getting very low awake time, now I see it is around 50%. I constantly use advanced task killer.
View 8 Replies View RelatedWell today I went to lunch, when I got back I checked my phone and it was down to 70% battery life after 4 hours of no use. I checked Spare Parts, it showed the phone as having only slept 50% of the time, and something called "init" had been using the CPU for a little over 2 hours and the phone was very warm (~100f according to my battery widget).The battery manager (I'm running 2.2) showed Android OS as using around 60% of my battery life, so I rebooted the phone and went about my day. Minutes ago, my phone told me I need to charge it, only 7 hours after it was at 70%, it is now sitting at 15%. Once again I checked Spare Parts and my phone has been running 75% of the time since I rebooted it. I once again check the battery manager and it shows Android OS using up around 75% of my battery (again). Spare Parts yet again showed "init" as having the most CPU usage since I rebooted my phone.Anyone have any clue what "init" is in terms of Android OS? Any way I can better diagnose the phone? Anyone have any clue what could suddenly be causing this when it didn't start until today? The only thing that has changed in the past 2 days is an update for LauncherPro, an update for a game that I rarely play, and an update to AppBrain. Other then that, my phone has had almost no usage for the past few days, and it suddenly started doing this today for no reason.

She usually would get a day or two no prob out of the battery with call it mild use. NOW she can have a dead battery by dinner on a full charge at 6am. This started happening within the last couple of weeks, call it since 10/15/10. Anyone have any ideas what's going on? She hasn't downloaded any new apps or changed any settings.

Wi fi, 4g, gps and all that stuff is always off. Has anyone else experienced this with their Evo? I apologize if there is already a thread on this.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI really hope this isn't normal. When I go to sleep and wake up 8-9 hours later, my phone loses 20% battery. I have Wi-fi, BT, GPS, and sync turned off. No task managers except for the System Panel Lite which I don't even use. Any ideas why I lose so much battery over night? And a completely unrelated problem. When I click on add application in LauncherPro, it takes forever to find all the apps. It's almost instant whenever I restart the phone, but takes longer as the phone stays on. I know I can add apps by opening the app drawer (which loads the apps instantly) and long pressing the app, but this is still an annoying bug since it happens everytime I have to look though all apps (App Manager & Manager Apps in settings). Thoughts?

I did a test where I would randomly click pages on this site and wait a few seconds on each page, over 3G, and concluded I was losing 1% every 2 minutes. Is this normal or is it comparable to your experience?

My and my wife's phones both lost a lot of battery life the last 3 days. The only things that I have done to both phones is update from beast 7.4 to beast 7.5 using the update.zip, Flashed to Ta's then back to 7.5 kernel using nadroid (trying to get rid of the stuck at 8oo Mhz while charging), and installed Not Call Log which just sends you back to your home screen instead of the call log after a call ends. We both unplugged around the same time 6 am this morning. She uninstalled not call log on hers for troubleshooting purposes and we went about our day. Got home around 6 tonight and they are both at 30%. With Beast 7.4 I was usually between 50-60 because of bad recption at work. Shes usually around 70-80. Before I get jumped on. We have not changed our usage habits or phone settings at all. We have had these phones since release day so we have a good idea on our phones usual battery life to usage ratio. We have had not 1 issue with either phone at all what so ever up until I updated 7.5, the android flashing between the Kernels and the app install. to bad I did them all in one sitting.

View 6 Replies View RelatedAfter a month of owning the S4, my phone asked me for a PIN. I'm not sure what prompted it but I gave it. Now, I have to use this stupid PIN if I want to unlock my phone. Which means that if I want to take a quick photo or check the internet etc, I have to input this PIN. I decided to browse through the setting to see how I could disable the PIN option and just swipe the screen away. I did this fine with my S2 before so I thought I could with the S4.
I unchecked GMAIL and Kaspersky (the protection I purchased) and it went to the lock screen immediately with that damn PIN again. When I input that PIN that I had been using, the one that I created that always worked....it wouldnt accept it. Said "incorrect pin". There IS NO other PIN. Now I can't unlock my phone! You'd think that the obvious thing for them to do was send a reset to one of my many email addresses associated with the phone but nothing! The warnings mentioned in "unchecking" those boxes DID NOT say that it would render my phone useless and unusable.
Yahoo mail app on phone, it all of a sudden stopped syncing. It refreshes but it is not getting the emails. It is showing emails up until yesterday. I have rebooted phone, force stopped app...nothing.

So a day or two ago Google Services randomly ate up a huge amount of my data. And all within about a second. I really can't figure out why it happened. I was going to see a movie so I turned off my phone, and when I turned it back on, I got a data usage warning and after checking my settings it shows this:

I have this strange memory problem on my Samsung Galaxy SII Last week I flashed CheckRom RevoHD on my cellphone and everything went well (Titanium Backup etc...)
This morning I downloaded and installed Omega Files (Omega Series ROM kitchen) on my cellphone after a few hours it switched off. And then it took like 10 minutes to switch back on as the screen was stuck on the splash screen.
I had like 500-600Mo of free memory out of 2Go for apps and now I only have 20Mo...
Is there any file manager (that sorts folders by size) out there so I can do so cleaning ?

The wifi on my phone Samsung Galaxy Chat will not turn on all of a sudden. Same is the issue with Bluetooth.
The wifi button in the drop down screen is kind of greyed out and when settings is opened the [off-on] is greyed out. In wifi settings it just says "turning on...".
All firmware up to date. Phone isnt damaged or dropped. I have restarted the phone many times and also performed factory reset twice and cleared the cache too.
I am able to set Home Wallpaper without the picture losing quality. However, I still can't set LockScreen Wallpaper without risking quality in the picture.
Why does this happen? Why the hell can't I enjoy the 100% good quality HD wallpapers that I download? Every time I set one it instantly loses quality.
How to back up the game without losing all your progress? I'm looking to flash an updated ROM on my S3 soon, and in a few months get a Nexus 5 (or HTC One) and I've heard from others that TB does nothing. I really like this game and I'm pretty far along, I just don't want to have to start from scratch and grind just to get close to where I am.
