View 3 Replies View RelatedMost of the specs for tablets which have a micro SD media slot do not give any details about it. I'm generally wondering if a slot labelled "microSD" will accept a micro SDHC card (as opposed to a micro SD card). I know, for example, that some older memory card readers won't read the SDHC cards, even if they have an SD slot. I'm not sure about the tablets however.
Example of some of the tablets that I'd be interested in knowing this about are: Acer Iconia A700 or A210, and Toshiba Excite.
Any dual sim adapter for 2x micro sims to 1x micro sim? I have a Galaxy S3 with a micro sim slot, so most dual sim adapters don't fit. Would a iphone dual sim adapter work? Or don't they have the SDK for android?

I commute between the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland (UK) every week so my phone goes to roaming settings. I am on the Three network down south and so long as my phone connects to Three (UK) when it roams i dont get charged a cent. Sometimes it likes to jump to O2 or other networks and it is costing me a lot of money. Is there a way to fix the network its allowed to connect to without turning off the "roaming" setting?
After 2 years I am finally back from iOS to Android 4.4.2 on my new Nexus 5.
I flashed the newest version Paranoid Android and now I am seeking for a lockscreen layout that can replace the iOS lockscreen notifications I got really used to.
Dashclock combined with Dash Notifier seems like a good alternative but I now have some strange lockscreen behaviour of which I don't know if it's normal or because of some settings I missed.
Every time I expand / shrink for security code input I see a semi transparent white rectangle (as seen in the pictures attached).
Is this normal? If not is there any setting I missed, if yes, is there any possibility to avoid this? I don't use any lockscreen replacement at the moment...

View 26 Replies View RelatedJust had an issue today with the phone after I got off of NYC Maximas.org and went back to the home screen. The phone decided to have a mind of its own and was actually switching between screens itself. Every time I hit the home button it would switch to screen 2 and three and so on and so on. Also when I tried to text right after that I was unable to input text for w.e. reason. After a shut off and turn on of the phone the issue was resolved; "weird". Anyone else having this problem?

So any clue why is that happening? I downloaded many apps from the market, is that the reason? and is there any application that shows the running applications in the background and their CPU and memory usage? View 5 Replies View RelatedI'm from the UK and currently using an N95 which although I really like is getting a little tired, old and feels slow compared to the newer phones.My contract with Orange is coming up due and they've said I can pick any phone at any price for free so thought I'd switch to android. I'm no stranger to messing with my N95 software so no need to be worried about suggesting a user friendly phone etc or if a phone can be improved by rooting etc. I'm willing to wait if there's anything really nice due in the next month or 2 but I'm basically after the best I can get my hands on especially hardware wise (as I'll have to wait 18 months+ for an upgrade).I've seen there could be new phones being released with 2ghz processors, 1gig ram etc which would allow me to keep up with updates. (I de-branded my n95 so I can use the latest firmware as i really dont like missing out on nice updates) Having a fairly decent camera would be a bonus as I am partial to taking the odd piccy.
View 2 Replies View RelatedAs I had a Nokia N85 laying around, containing a 8GB micro SDHC class 6 memory card, I was planning on using this on my desire, since that only came with a 4gb card. However, I formatted the 8GB card in windows, (to fat 32). (I've might have formatted the partitions and everything as well). But either the Desire or PC cant find my SD card at this point. When I put the 8gb card into my N85 and then connect the N85 to my PC, the computer finds it. My N85 has no problem locating the SD card either. What to I have to do to the SD card to be able to use it with my Desire?

But all I get is an option to mount the SD card as a drive to copy files. It doesn't seem to be able to charge the phone. Do I need a special cable, or maybe a second charger from T-Mobile? I had switched my sd micro card in my phone to retrieve pictures from my moms phone. She also had a cricket phone which had a larger mb, sd card that she wasn't using due to her getting a new phone, sd card so I put her sd card she wasn't using from the cricket phone and I put it in my phone and took my original sd card from my phone and put away for now. I went to try to install a app and it said it needed rooted so I goggled for a root app and downloaded it and after it loaded I wasn't really sure what to do with it. But then it let me use that app I wanted to install before rooting so it may of done something to let that app work. After looking thru the internet forums someone said to ES file explore and it shows a bunch of folders that is on the /mnt/sccard-ext and on the /mnt/sdcard .
What I would like to do is to put my original sd card that came with my LG Optimus Dynamic LG-L38C. When I put that sd carn into my card reader it shows this list of folders .android _secure, audio, brew, diag, download, image, LOST.DIR, other, video
How do I go about switching out to put the original sd card back in? Is there anyting I need to do before hand? Would I need to turn off the phone and switch out the cards if the phone was rooted? And after putting the original sd card back in, would it be a good idea to do a factory data reset?
