View 49 Replies View RelatedI put a 32 GB SanDisk micro card in my Phone and it works perfectly. I have net free space on external SD card of 29.29 GB available space.
View 25 Replies View RelatedI'm looking for a SANDISK MICRO SD CLASS 6, but I cannot find them anywhere.
Please could someone push me in the right direction (I'm UK based).
Can anybody explain to me the difference between the generic micro SD cards you can buy on Ebay and the name brand ones? Is it worth the extra to get a SanDisk or another name brand?

Does anyone know if the X10 supports micro SD HC versions? Or only the normal micro SD?
View 3 Replies View Relatedif and when eris gets the update for the 2.0 or 2.1 or what ever we get, would upgrading to a 16gig micro sd be a good idea or wont it mater?if so would all we have to do is swap everything from the 8 gig to the 16 gig on the computer then put the 16 gig in the phone and be good to go?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI checked to see if I have the cell standby 50% bug and I do. My up time is 11:34:50, my awake time is 3:47:48, but if I look at the cell standby it says time on 14:42:16. How can the cell standby thing be a longer time than my phone has been on? I did the leak 2 days ago, so it's not showing that time or anything.
View 17 Replies View RelatedI tried doing the Airplane trick...I am not sure this is the 50% issue others have mentioned because when I go to view my battery statistics, it doesn't show the 2 lines of information like it did before (i.e, 50%), but my phone idle and cell standby are Both hanging around 36%...seems kind of high in my opinion.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI currently have a Droid Eris phone - but I'm thinking of switching carriers and won't be able to use the Eris on the new carrier. What I'm wondering is - could the Eris still be used with WiFi only, without any cell service? For example - with no cell service and only access to WiFi access points - could I...
- access gmail or surf the web
- access the Android Marketplace for new apps or updates
Basically I'm wondering if the Eris could be used by my son as a sort of Android based iPod Touch.
I've been using a nice widget called "Timeriffic". You can set up different notification profiles. 6:30 - 10:30pm I get all notifications. After 10:30pm I only get phone calls. Are you aware of a application that does this for email, wireless and other services as well? Was thinking it would be nice to set up a profile that stopped email polling at specific times to save battery life. I usually put the phone into airplane mode...but would like something automatic.
View 8 Replies View RelatedLove my Eris, except for its music playback. With the SD card that came with it I have about 5gb of music. The music UI is choppy as can be, borderline unplayable at times, the lag is really bad. I've read other posts about faster cards improving performance on the player, but none really elaborating on the music playback.
View 5 Replies View RelatedWith phones like the Droid that can do a million things, and have unlimited apps, there are different benefits that people get from their phones. I know that the number 1 thing I use my cell phone for is Internet access, number 2 is actually using it to take and place calls. What things do you use it for the most? Top 3?I will add a poll to my link removed with your responses.
View 35 Replies View RelatedI'm not entirely sure this is even possible, but I am attempting to figure out if it is possible to watch live feeds from the droid to a computer. I ask because I im a dallas cowboys fan that lives in New York so most games aren't broadcast. The nfl mobile app lets me watch live feeds and games, but as you can imagine the screen is only so big. I'd like to watch the video on my computer screen. Is this possible or should I just look for some website that would ultimately do the same thing?

Kinda old news. Just saw this. There's a post from the phandroid bot but I wanted to make sure everyone saw this. The inventor of the first cell phone gave up his iPhone for a Motorola Droid!

I'm writing an android application that collects cell signal strengths.I am having trouble getting the "current" cell signal strength, but I don't have any problem getting the "neighboring" cell signal strengths. To get the current cell signal strength, I created a PhoneStateListener and implemented the onSignalStrengthChanged callback. It works, but not very well.It seems like the signal strength hardly ever changes, and resolution jumps to only a few numbers.I would accept the answer that the resolution of the signal strength hardware is coarse, but when I use the TelephonyManager's getNeighboringCellInfo() method, it works much better. The signal strength readings from neighboring cells change frequently, and they have much better resolution. So, how can I get the current cell signal strength in the same way that I am getting the neighboring cell strengths? It seems odd to me that the functionality of the neighboring cells is better than the current cell.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI thought this thread might be a good way for developers to see the type of apps that people want, and hopefully write them.
I would like an app that shows me on a map which cell tower my phone is using, signal strength, etc.
I just got back from a weekend in Julian and I was very happy with the quality of the pictures. Best "point and shoot" I have ever owned (not trying to compare it to a "real" camera). Is there a gallery here to post pictures? Or should we start a thread with links to Flickr or Picasa, et al, with Droid-taken pics?
In the meantime, here is a link to a pic I took this weekend:

1) does anyone know for sure if the Eris can use a 32 GB card or is 16 the limit? 2) I have found something thats listed as "TF Card 32 GB micro SDHC" . What does TF mean and will it work in the eris? Im guessing trans flash maybe.
View 1 Replies View RelatedMost of the specs for tablets which have a micro SD media slot do not give any details about it. I'm generally wondering if a slot labelled "microSD" will accept a micro SDHC card (as opposed to a micro SD card). I know, for example, that some older memory card readers won't read the SDHC cards, even if they have an SD slot. I'm not sure about the tablets however.
Example of some of the tablets that I'd be interested in knowing this about are: Acer Iconia A700 or A210, and Toshiba Excite.
How can I turn off "Cell Standby"
