General :: Milestone X2 RSD Lite Fail (error Switching Phone To BP Pass Through Mode)

While trying to sbf my Milestone X2 using RSD Lite v5.7 (I used an sbf file named "1FF-daytona-user-2.3.5-45.0.25-111011-release-keys-signed-ntelos-US.sbf") I encountered an error that said: Failed flashing process. phone[0000]: error switching phone to BP Pass through mode (0x70BE)

I noticed a lot of times when you play a YouTube video,it just doesn't play.Sometimes they do play and I go to switch to HD mode and then a message pops up saying the video can't be played.I thought this was a YouTube issue only,but it also happens with my app Where when I try to watch movie previews and switch to HD.Any suggestions

I've had my X10 mini for a few weeks now and it's been working fine, but this weekend i noticed that when i plugged it in to the mains using the charger it failed to start charging. I also tried just using the USB connection with my PC but it also doesn't recognize it. My phone has now died and i have no way of making it work again! Infuriating! Has anyone else had a problem with this? The way i see it, i either have a faulty charging cable or the micro USB port has failed (a problem i jhave read is common in the x10?)

I have a verizon samsung galaxy s3. I'm planning to upgrade to the kitkat 4.4 but I was going to do a nandroid backup first. Using rom manager I am attempting to go into recovery mode but everytime I try I get this message:
System software not authorized by Verizon Wireless has been found on your phone. Please turn off your phone and go to the nearest Verizon Wireless store for support.
I disabled the knox sensor and then totally removed it and it's components. I don't know what else to try.

I installed customROM works fine. then I reverted back to stockROM then IMEI is gone. I tried the Engineering mode thing, I tried multiple IMEI Writers non of them works for me. I always have this error "meta mode entry fail" for some reason I don't know what to do.
I do have an MTK Based phone its dual Sim.

I have the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3, 7" (WIFI-ONLY).
Firstly, let's start by saying that I ended up rooting it after a while because it got boring having the simple, unmodified android.
It seems creativity got the best of me, and I ended up wanting to switch back to my normal android days. The problems started when I looked for the ways to upgrade my device, and it sais my device had been modified (rooted). So then I tried deleting SuperSU, thinking that would unroot, but nope... I then went to my great friend, we all know as Google. I then found the firmware, however didn't notice it said 3G, not just WIFI.... and loaded it onto my tablet following the instructions leading me to use Odin. I now have a Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 WIFI only, with 3G Firmware.
After countless hours, days, and now weeks of trying to get it back to the normal firmware, all my attempts result in an error on Odin, and here's what I get:
First, I just load the .md5 file, and this happens.

I have a samsung galaxy music duos . It had come with 4.0.4 - in network mode there were 3 options - GSM ONLY.CDMA ONLY & AUTO MODE.Now after updating to jelly bean it has got changed to At some places where 3g is available it still uses 2g and sometimes keeps switching between 2g and 3g . Is there something i can do to use 3G ONLY ie, CDMA ONLY network? Can apps like tasker do the job?

I am currently trying to help my little brother with an issue he is having with his X 10 mini pro. The problem he is having is that it keeps switching into silent mode of it own accord at random times. I have tried updating the software but that has had no effect. Here is something interesting about the Milestone. Enable Airplane mode, put it on the charger over night. Wake up to find your Milestone drained. This happens with my Blackberry Curve as well. Airplane mode drains the battery faster than its being charged. Has anyone else seen this? Or am i just getting lucky twice?

I tried to update my Motorola Milestone to 2.1 on the official way , using "Motorola Software Update"
Everything went OK but now I have this error and I can not boot anymore :
"bootloader 90.73 err:A5,69,35,00,27 milestone"
I have to mention , that I am in Belgium and I have a Milestone from Expansys.be, and the version was version 2.0 . The update software was telling me that is the operator is "United Kingdom"...kind of strange...
Do you have any idea how to un-brick my Milestone and after that howto upgrade to 2.1?

I'm un-rooting my phone using OMJ's guide in the everything root related guide, and I'm getting a "Failed Flashing Process" error in RSD Lite.
I am running as admin, I have the correct drivers (I recently rooted...), I have the sbf in C: .... yet it fails.
The error says " Failed Flashing Process. Failed Flashing Process. Interface BP: Error flashing subscriber unit. Device API Error: 0xE0030009 Command: ADDR (0xE0231009); phone connected"
I am going to try flashing SPRecovery to see if I can at least get to a working point.
SPRecovery worked. It boots into 2.1 and has SPRecovery as the recovery. I still want to get it to stock, so I am going to try and download the stock sbf again (it doesn't have a checksum so I have no way of knowing if it is good or not...) .... here goes nothing!

My application crashes when I switch the Android Emulator to landscape mode. But when I start the application, everything works fine, until I switch to portrait mode again.
The error only occurs when I switch from one mode to another. When I debug my app while switching to the other mode everything works fine until my program counter jumps out of the onCreate() function.
this is an error message i picked out: java.lang.RuntimeException: Unable to start activity ComponentInfo {com.prog.drink/com.prog.drink.App}: java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: Wrong state class -- expecting View State
Any idea what I could have done wrong in my app?

This is probably a pretty easy to answer question, but I can't find the solution myself after a couple hours of searching the documentation and Google.I set the orientation of my Android app to landscape in the AndroidManifest.xml file: android:screenOrientation="landscape"
However, when I run the app in the simulator, it appears sideways and in portrait mode. How can I switch the emulator to landscape mode on a mac? It's running the 1.6 SDK.

Had the phone about 30 hours or so, been happily learning the ins and outs of my first android. Was streaming Pandora for a couple hours while working, then went to type a text and the full size landscape qwerty wouldn't come up only that aweful portrait mode cramped keyboard that makes me feel like I am typing on a blackberry now the browser won't switch to landscape either which is 'incredibly' annoying. Teeter seems to work fine, on level 19 and also "Bubble" an app for Leveling which switches to landscape in either direction.

New to this phone and loving it. I live out in the boonies and no DSL/Cable, no other carriers have 3G, so been using the tethered phone (Yes, 2GB + $10/GB ... I know!). Phone likes to switch between EDGE/3G. Phone unrooted.
1) Any app to easily force 3G only? I know about the dial #*#*197328640#*#* -> Option 1 -> Option 8 -> Option 4 -> RAT to WCDMA setting but would prefer an app for when I take the phone out with me.
2) Ordered an external antenna / connector. Will I really have to drill a hole in my battery cover? There has to be somewhere I can order a battery cover from with the hole there already? I can't be the only person wanting to do this.

Switching off Wi-Fi via an application (in this case WiFi On/Off or Power Manager) turns the phone into Airplane Mode = No Cellular Voice or Data. Cure..turn off Airplane Mode under settings and cycle power on phone.

I am working on my own app. It appears that when I switch to other tasks after opening and navigating through my app, and switch back to my app later, it crashes. When not task switching, it seems perfectly stable, but task switching tends to make this crash. This does not always happen. If I only quickly switch to email and back, it works perfectly, but if I run several games, and then switch back, the problem occurs. I guess it is something in Android's memory manager that my app doesn't work properly with, but I can't figure out what exactly the problem is.This is my log:

I have written a small example which displays the photos from the server. Its working fine when the device is in one of the mode (landscape of potrait). But if I switch to landscape to potrait or potrait to landscape while downloading the photos from the server, I am getting NullPointerException, showing with androidRunTimeException.
I am using LinearLayout -> ImageView
I am using threads to download the images.

I am using Intents to switch between activities in my Android app. I am putting data in the Intent for use in the next activity. When I switch the phone between landscape and portrait modes, the values passed from the intent are lost and I get a NullPointerException.
Can someone please tell me what could be wrong.
There's a lot of code to post it entirely. But if someone needs to look at specific parts of code, I can post it here.

I solved the issue of state not being saved. But another problem I faced is that none of the buttons on the screen work after the orientation has been changed. On button press, I get this warning in LogCat

i'm having the above problem when switching my activity. In the first activity i have a GalleryView showing all my images and an ImageView show the selected image from the gallery. Now i want to switch to the next activity and keep the same image from the ImageView on screen in the second activity. Here is how i show my images:Is there like an id or something saying what's on screen at the moment of the switch? How can i accomplish this?

Everything seems damn fast and it's so simple to set up. Only problem is that I have set up my work e-mail (which sits on a server and is a POP-3 account I think!...can you tell I'm not technical?!?!) using the in-built client on the phone, trouble is that it keeps crashing and has to do a force close on me pretty much every time. I've looked for this same topic in the forum but cant find anything which answers the issue. Is the next software release likely to fix this bug?
