Android :: Using Dolphin HD / Search Button Not Working On Forum
Aug 15, 2010When I am browsing this forum on Dolphin HD and I click in the search button at the top right it will bring down a new menu, when I click in the text area, the keyboard will pop up but then disappear along with the menu. I basically can't search on the phone.

General :: Google Search Results Page Is Not Working?
Sep 7, 2012When I do a Google Search I am seeing a different screen than most friends. They have tabs for the different categories and the Search Tools on the left. I am seeing the different screen below plus when I click the wrench for search tools because I only want to see results for the last week. I get the screen below. I can't figure out how to change the time option. Clicking it is not working.

I have noticed that although holding down the menu button will go to google search from the main screen, it no longer works in certain apps that used to work before the upgrade. In fact it doesnt seem to work in any apps.

Oct 25, 2010Running SS 4.8 on my Droid and cannot use the search button on the front. I get the haptic feedback and then nothing happens. If I long press it I can use the voice search but without this I am honestly tempted to go back to stock. Does anyone know how to re-associate the button properly? Rooting has been fun and all but the headache is starting to far outweigh the reward at this point. ADW launcher doesn't freeze like the default does but I would like to be able to search to get to things instead of diving 5 menus deep all of the time.

Im using DE03 Noobl's 1.2.3 Rom along with the Stock template DE03 and ADW Launcher. I think it may be the stock template causing this?

May 20, 2010Yesterday I updated to the android 2.1 & rooted my phone. I have voice caller ID, & speak message service (reads out SMS messages)...& yesterday & even a few hours ago, they were working just fine... I even tried out the new voice search stuff (microphone icon) & it was fine. Well bout an hour or so ago, my phone rang & it no longer said who was calling, nor will it read out my texts...& when I click on the microphone icon, a screen pops up that says "Audio Problems" try again or cancel. What could have happened that suddenly made these stop working? If I have to reset my phone again, will I have to re-update the androiod 2.1 & root my phone again? Can someone help me out please? I would really appreciate your guys help.

Jul 31, 2010My search button on my Dinc randomly stopped working today. It lights up and when I press it, I do in fact receive the haptic feedback. It just doesn't do anything. Is there a setting somewhere I might have screwed up somehow? I haven't changed anything and I did try rebooting a few times.

Jul 7, 2010Just got my 1st problem with my nexus 1, had since january. my home and google search keys has stopped working. also the power button no longer locks the phone. problem started when the wi-fi wouldnt turn on, so i rebooted phone and then lost all these buttons when started up again. not done a factory reset yet as i am still at work and want to make sure ive got everything backed up 1st. also what is the best application for backing up sms?

Prior to this issue, when I used either of the search widgets as I typed it would populate search results below the search text box. For some reason now this isn't happening. Sep 27, 2010I use it all of the time for voice commands. "Call so and so"... I am frustrated. I really don't want to do ANOTHER hard reset. It's such a pain to get everything customized again... Ringtones especially. Has this happened to anyone else? Any ideas on how to fix it besides resetting it? I tried a soft reset to no avail.

Oct 6, 2010When I click on the search button (magnifying glass), type in the name of a person I am looking for in my contacts, I come up with a list of people who match what I have typed. On my droid, I could then click on any of the results to bring up that persons contact information. On this phone, it flashes the contact information for about a 10th of a second then goes back to my search results. I can get the contact information by clicking on the icon for that person, then selecting the contacts icon that comes up below. Is this something that is going on with my phone only or are others having this issue also.

Oct 31, 2010The upload and the search buttons don't seem to be doing anything on the YouTube widget when it's on the home screen. When I actually open the program list and open the YouTube app, the buttons work from there, just not from the home screen widget.
