Why doesn't the "Search this forum" function work? Everytime I click to type in the text field the damn thing just disappears - very annoying.
I'm running 1.6, R2BA024.

I cannot use forum or thread search function when using my X. After touching the search input field, the keyboard shows momentarily then hides itself.
View 6 Replies View RelatedBut please before you do, either read back through the pages of thread titles or search for what the problem is using the search function in the X10 section as the vast majority of questions have already been answered in previous posts. This is a slight rant but for the last month there has been times that the same question has been asked on more than one thread and have even seen 3 of the same threads together on here. Now that is just lazy. So please search first or maybe even give google a try after all it is Android/Google/ Rant over, for now till I get annoyed about SE lies even more so as my mate just installed 2.2 on his Desire and keeps taking the

Every time I post on forums it always wants to double post, on here there is a 15 second gap before you can post again but on a lot of the forums I use are for work related pimping, well I post a lot on kite forums and run a kite school so it's kinda work related pimping. It's doing my head in as I have to go and delete a second post every time I post, just curious if any one else had this issue? It was there before I rooted my phone and it's there after I rooted my phone.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI had mine X10i over 4 months now, no matter how I updated the version or reset the device back to factory default, the WiFi still did not work properly unless I re-start the device. The WiFi only can be turn on is when the device just turned on. If the WiFi connection got disconnected or was being turned off, then it can NEVER be connect it back or NEVER can be turn back on. This is killing me that I have to at least re-start my phone twice a day. Another thing is that if I don't turn on my WiFi at the time the device was turned on, then I never could be able to turn on the WiFi again. What is the issue with this function?

When I try to log in to the SE sync function on the phone, the phone is telling me that I have used an "invalid username/password". I have used exactly yhe same as I used tio log in to the site on the computer, and I have checked it a few times, but it doesn't want to accept it.
View 1 Replies View RelatedMy alarm clock sometimes decides to snooze for an hour and 10 mins rather than 10 mins. I nearly missed work on Friday, what is going on!? I waited a long time for the X10 mini to come out and admit that I am a little dissappointed. I've had a SE W580i until recently and I am finding that there are a lot of basic things that my old phone could handle but my new one seems to struggle with.I have used my phone alarm as my only alarm clock for at least the last 5 years. I really struggle to get up in the morning and if I turn the alarm off, I'll fall straight back to sleep again, therefore I rely heavily on the phone's snooze function to wake me up eventually after going off a few times. I was initially dissappointed that you cannot personalise the snooze duration on the x10 mini, the 10 mins is usually ok for me but in certain situations I prefer to shorten it. Please consider including this in the next software update, Sony Ericsson!
But the pressing problem is the (massively) extended snooze. It happens every few days and seems to be quite random. The first few times I hit the snooze button, it works as normal. A picture of an alarm clock comes up showing the time, and a white segment of clock face is highlighted indicating how long the snooze is for (10 mins) and when it will next go off. Then, I stir due to some disturbance outside, notice that the sun is definitely brighter than it was when I was last awake, grab my phone in a panic and realise that I have been sleeping for 20 mins since the alarm last went off, and that I have less than 7 mins to get up, dressed, packed and on the bus or I will be late for work. Meanwhile my phone is cheerfully still displaying the clock face with the white segment showing that I have 40 mins left to snooze and all is well. I didn't even know it was possible for this phone to snooze for anything other than 10 mins. Unfortunately I am asleep whenever this has happened and I'm not sure how I've done it.
I have tried setting the alarm when awake and then pressing various buttons, tapping the screen in various places, even pressing and holding the snooze button or swiping it. Most of these actions do nothing and the only way to stop the alarm is to slide to turn off or press the snooze button. My theory as to what is happening is that the phone snoozes for the normal 10 mins, but then when it reaches the time to go off again, it fails to go off and then the snooze time is displayed as 50 minutes (until it reaches that time again for the next hour). I think the white segment does initially show the 10 mins, I've started checking when I hit the snooze button after it happened a few times, but I might be doing something different in my sleep somehow.

View 27 Replies View RelatedI recently rooted my x10. Everything is going awesome so far except one thing. I have no idea where my voice search went. I re-flashed it with an unbranded rom (R2BA026) and voice search is missing! I don't know where to go from here.

I tried searching the Android Market for this, but no luck. I've also tried sending a text from the Google site, but clicking on the link, after I received the text, just gave an error message.

I see in some videos the google search bar in 2.1 is suppsoed to to have the little microphone icon to activate voice search. I flashed 2.1 rodgers firmare onto my x10a and when the phone boots I can see the icon for a few seconds then it deisapears!! Anyone else with the same problem? Was it something taken out by rodgers in their version of firmware?
