I have recently upgraded to Android 4.0.4 on my samsung galaxy s2. I used the ressurection remix rom 1.9
I have noticed that although holding down the menu button will go to google search from the main screen, it no longer works in certain apps that used to work before the upgrade. In fact it doesnt seem to work in any apps.

1. sometimes when you unlock the screen you get this weird static screen for like half a second
2. holding down the menu button still doesnt do anything
3. when you're charging your phone it doesnt show the percentage
4. cant uninstall where's waldo and midnight bowling.
5. sometimes you have to push the actual unlock button for the screen to turn on instead of any of the buttons (i do this to check the time)
never had the SD card or vibrating problems so i dunno if they got completely fixed.
My Samsung Galaxy 7.0 Plus is not holding the charge, everynight I put it to charge, I used less than an hr during the day and then the charge is gone!!! Do I need a new battery, or a firmware update?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI use it all of the time for voice commands. "Call so and so"... I am frustrated. I really don't want to do ANOTHER hard reset. It's such a pain to get everything customized again... Ringtones especially. Has this happened to anyone else? Any ideas on how to fix it besides resetting it? I tried a soft reset to no avail.
View 12 Replies View Relatedmy galaxy s2,it is rooted,and i have another problem : the phone restarts by itself and gets stucked in the boot loop, i never flashed a new rom ,it is running the stock rom,Someday i needed to factory reset the phone so i rebooted into recovery mode (power + home button +vol up) ,. I booted into recovery mode but the power button does NOT react as 'select' button although it works just fine for power on and off. I select a function and press [power] an the first line becomes the selected. pushing it again just flashed the screen. But pressing it long turns the phone off,and even after the factory reset from phone directly(with out going to recovery mode)

View 1 Replies View RelatedDoes anyone have a problem with the backlight on the Home/Menu/Back/seach buttons. On my Incredible sometimes they come on when I bring it out of sleep and stay on. Other times they don't come on at all. Sometimes they just come on in the middle of doing something on the phone.
Have added some apps from the market but can't remember if it was like this from the start. Did a reboot and battery pull but it's still occuring.
I have also had a couple phantom reboots when in sleep mode so not sure if it's related.
I have tried covering it up, playing with the phone in the dark but the backlight for the home, menu, back and search buttons will not come on. They worked when I got the phone on tuesday until wednesday night, then they cut out. I just did a factory reset and they are still not working. Does anyone have any suggestions?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI went to the Verizon Store to find out why my battery was not holding a charge for more than 4 - 5 hours. They checked it out, downloaded a battery saver app and sent me on my way stating my phone was no longer under warranty. Then my phone would not hold any charge, I again went to the Verizon store and was told there was nothing they could do. I went to Battery Warehouse to see if they could change the battery, they could not. So, I decided, since it was out of warranty I would removed the battery myself and see if I could order a new one. Well that was another problem because noone knows how to reinstall a battery once you open the back and take it out. So now I am going to activate my Droid 3 and use it until I update to an Iphone in August.

View 2 Replies View RelatedMy search button on my Dinc randomly stopped working today. It lights up and when I press it, I do in fact receive the haptic feedback. It just doesn't do anything. Is there a setting somewhere I might have screwed up somehow? I haven't changed anything and I did try rebooting a few times.

Screen shot function is not working on my mobile. Vol down and Power button combo is not working.

When i am trying to run the example of Maps as in http://developer.android.com/resources/tutorials/views/hello-mapview.html, the menu button doesn't seem to work. I tried the default Maps app in the emulator and there it was working. Also i intend to add an item when a user presses that button, how can do it?

The guy working at sprint told me all the epic phones are that unresponsive. Is this true?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI've had my Captivate for a few weeks now. I've noticed since day one that the search button 'hard button' on the lower right of the phone, mysteriously 'pressed itself'. The first few times I figured I pushed it on accident with my pinky or something. That Is Not The Case. I know I'm not going crazy but every once in awhile, the hard button lights will go on and the vibrate (I have vibrate set to on) will go on and the search will pop up. All on it's own. This happens at least 5 times a day. If not more. It doesn't do it on any one specific page, it does it no matter what I'm doing on my phone. Sometimes I'll literally watch it just laying in my hand when my phone is on and the search will pop up.

I am using LauncherPro on my Android 2.1 (CyanogenMod 5.0.8 DS), but with ADW launcher it showed the same behaviour.
The power button doesn't turn off my screen, instead it takes me home (launcher).

Today I realized that my GPS isn't working. My phone is samsung galaxy s3 mini (gt-i8190). i think it is because of gps conference. I found it in a diffuculty and i put it here:

i just want to know where the hell am I via gps. but the gps circle on the notif bar is winking consistently. i tried almost everything such as Faster fix, gps aids, gps doctor, gps surgeon etc but no success.
