Aug 18, 2010I used Eclipse with the Android SDK to develop the original application. I ask since this was my first Java (and Eclipse, and Android, and XML) project. I assume that most of the Java should run on the PC without too much trouble. I may want to restructure the code to isolate the Android specific functions. Should I stay with Eclipse or move to something like NetBeans?

I need help from Motorola Droid owners to port it to that phone.The app gets the network statistics data by reading pseudo-files /sys/ class/net/xxxx/statistics/rx_bytes and tx_bytes. "xxx" is the network interface name, which depends on the platform (or rather, the maker), e.g. for HTC phones it is "rmnet0", "pdp0" for Samsung..I'm looking for the name used by the Droid. If someone with a Droid could look (using adb) at / sys/ class/ net/ xxxx/ statistics/ rx_bytes and tell me what the xxxx is, it would make 3G Watchdog accessible to Motorola users.BTW, this remark is valid for any other future phone (Ericson, etc). New Android phones will appear on the market, and I need owner's contribution to port 3GW on them.

Sep 30, 2010I accidently sat got my evo into some water on our bathroom the other night and now my phone is acting weird. I disconnected the battery and the phone and allowed them to sit in bags of rice for a few days to draw out the mositure. I turned the phone back on and found the camera is no longer so the water must of wicked in through there, but what is troubling me is the orange charge light comes on as well as a red indicator light on the other side.

Mar 30, 2014I want to port "Desperados Wanted Dead or Alive" and "Robin Hood the Legend of Sherwood" (two of my all time fav pc games) to Android. I used to spend so much time playing these games when I was a lil kid. Amazing games. Dont understand why they havent yet been ported to Android. I reckon they would sell a few millions on the GPlay if the pricing was right. (Profit guaranteed) I would definitely buy them if they were available on the GPlay. Anyway since they are not and probably never will, I am trying to find out how to port these games to android. Since they both are 2D point and click games they would be perfect to play on the android platform and also much easier to port to android than 3D pc games.
