I have a Flying T600, a very well specified Chinese smartphone. It is brand new. My problem is that it often scrolls through various screens all by itself, as if someone else is in control of it. The only thing to do is to switch it off. Do you think the phone is faulty, or possibly hacked?

I got my desire yesterday and when as soon as started to use the phone, it would scroll from the home screen to the left or right. It won't stay on one screen sometimes. Other times it doesn't do this at all. When it is doing, I can go into a menu or something and it will scroll through the different icons. I don't know what the problem is, but it's getting on my last nerve.

View 12 Replies View RelatedI thought my phone was possessed but I know others have had this problem. I still haven't seen a fix for it though. No mater what I'm doing, my HTC Incredible will just scroll all the way to the right. If I'm in an app or attempting to type a message, the screen looks possessed with all the available buttons lighting up randomly. While this is happening I basically lose all control over my phone. I can't scroll back to the left, I can't type what I want, etc. The phone has a mind of its own! I went to the Verizon store and they said I had probably downloaded an app with a virus and they had to wipe out my phone to fix it. Well, that inconvenience did not fix the problem. Even with no "non-factory" apps installed on my phone it still scrolled to the right uncontrollably. The Verizon tech insisted that this was because I downloaded apps, but at this point there were no downloaded apps on the phone and I only download apps via the market, nowhere else.
Anyhow, is there a fix for this?
On my droid x2, when i recieve a text message, it automaticlly scrolls it on the top of the screen without even opening the message. Is there any way to disable this?
View 2 Replies View Relatedin Jelly Bean opening an email in the basic email app and then touching anywhere within the email makes the email quickly scroll down to hide the to/from bar. It's the only place in Android where a single touch causes a scrolling response, so when I open the email and begin to scroll with a swipe, it jumps down and then scrolls which is somewhat disorienting as it differs from how scrolling works in every other app including Gmail.

It seems as though with an input field selected, on some keystrokes, the entire page scrolls up by about 50px. There seems to be no logical pattern, ryhme or reason as to which keys trigger the scrolling jump. I am contuning to test this, but can not seem to find the source of the problem. This continues even as the input field goes off the screen. As the browser reaches the bottom of the page, it will then jump all the way to the top of the page and continue scrolling down.
A co-worker of mine said that he has seen this before but was unable to find the the cause for this problem. It only happens on the Android I am testing on.
Additional Information: I am using the Nexus One with Android 2.2. I am using the default Android Web Browser. My web page is using the jQuery and jQtouch frameworks. This only happens on this phone and does not replicate on the HTC Evo running 2.2
I want to show wml page on android. I have designed small wml page. I am using Apache server to deploy the pages. But the page is not displaying. It is displaying just like xml page.

Everything else on my HTC HERO seems to function normally. But starting yesterday, any effort to call up a webpage, either using the browser or using the bookmarks on one of my home screens, fails. The page tries to load but then the phone just jumps back to the bookmarks home, or the home screen. Any ideas?

I need have one only scroll with which I can scroll all the listviews. I know that i can't use a scrollview because the listviews have their own scroll (but i don't need the scrolls of the listviews because i have them in wrap-content). I thought maybe puting the listviews inside the LinearLayout I will hadn't problems with the scrollview, but it didn't work, the LinearLayout was fixed to the screen, the scrollview didn't appear and the listviews ended scrollable. Without the scrollview if i have the list in wrap-content, their shown properly but i haven't any scroll and i can't see the lisviews below the screen. Really i have had this bug for one month and i haven't found any solution,

Long time blackberry user and I just traded in my tour yesterday for the Droid Eris. Let me just get this out of the way first and say WOW what an awesome phone this thing rocks the casba better than any blackberry I've ever owned.Ok now that I've got that out of the way here is my deli-ma and if this has been posted and answered before please forgive me as I did conduct a search prior to this I just couldn't find a thread that related to my scenario.Ok so I work for a huge IT company and when I was on the BB I had a rule setup with my BB desktop manager that any emails that came through with the word PAGEME in the body to forward that email to my phone as a level 1 message and cause my phone to explode in the process. (btw the PAGEME was added by our BES so that will no longer be an option for a filter) so what I was wondering is this, is there a way with this phone that I can setup a similar rule whether it is something that I have to configure on the phone itself or in say Outlook with a exchange rule. Whatever be the case I am open to anything all that matters is that we can make the phone do some god awful sound when a page comes in so that way I can at least assure that my phone will at least wake my wife up so she can kick me and wake me up . The positive thing is that the page will only be sent to me so whatever rule we'll be creating will be specific to me being the only recipient. And yes the page does come through as a email. I can change the pager address to be mynumber@vtext.com thats not a problem but I'd rather leave it going to my regular email that way I get the full page instead of just the first 160 characters.

What I am trying to do is align a view to the bottom of the screen, using either a RelativeLayout or LinearLayout, and then wrap that layout in a scrollview to permit scrolling when necessary (for changes to landscape orientation or on small screen devices).
To date, what I find is that anything aligned to parent bottom works great as long at the bottom is visible...but if the bottom is below the scroll, the view that is aligned parent bottom jumps up to the top.
This seems like a very common design for ads that appear on the bottom, so I would think that this is possible. Is it?
I have a webview and i wanted it to occupy the whole screen but it seems to have 7-8pix margin on the right side which is being used to display the scroll bar.
Is there anyway I can remove that margin but still display the scroll bars? I want it to do it in the way GMail app layout is done.

I have tried setting the layout_marginRight="-8dip" but that is a hackish way and also takes the scrollbars off the screen making them invisible.
I need a new them or way to store more apps on the pages of the Home screen on the Droid instead of just having 3 screens.

In the Facebook app for Android and on the mobile website, my liked pages aren't show correctly. I think it only shows likes from a huge while back, as any pages I've recently liked just don't show up. The weird part is that my newesty liked pages shows up on the button for likes on my profile, but once you click it, it's nowhere to be found. Another werid thing is that after pressing that, it says that I have "Other Likes: 11", but once I click that, it only shows 9.
Here is what I want you to try:
-Go to the facebook app, slide out the menu and click your own name to go to your profile.
-Slide to the side in the area where you have About, Photos, Friends and Places and slide until you see the Likes button.
-Check the pictures on that button and see if you can find them in after clicking the button
-See if the number of Other Likes match with the amount it shows.
I'm wondering if its just a bug for everyone or if I'm the only one having the problem. Maybe there is even another way to get to your liked pages??
I've been trying several browsers and only Miren browser had the feature I need. I mean then I loaded pages stays loaded until I close the tabs/browser manualy.
All the other browsers keeps reloading pages then I don't need them to reload. For example - open some website, go to other app, then turn off mobile network and wifi, then go back to internet browser and it's only blank page (or an error page).
Recently I have flashed ICS ROM and now Miren browser FC sometimes.. I guess it's because of Miren browser is no longer supported and some ICS incompatabilities or ROM problems..
So any other browser which doesn't reload pages when apps being switched back and forth? Or way to keep all browser loaded tabs (in cache(?)) so it don't need to reload so much?
I am searching an application that can tell me "who is calling" in those cases where the called number is not in among my contacts. To do this the application should access via internet to databases such as yellow pages, white pages and tellows. It would be nice if the same application could use all of these 3 databases and, if a match is found, a pop-up should come up on the screen with the information found.

It used to launch the Dolphin Browser "speed dial" but somehow got reset to the stock browser.
I have a custom Android view which overrides onTouchEvent(MotionEvent) to handle horizontal scrolling of content within the view. However, when the ScrollView in which this is contained scrolls vertically, the custom view stops receiving touch events. Ideally what I want is for the custom view to continue receiving events so it can handle its own horizontal scrolling, while the containing view hierarchy deals with vertical scrolling.
Is there any way to continue receiving those motion events on scroll? If not, is there any other way to get the touch events I need?
Got a GS4 a couple days ago and noticed today that when surfing the internet with the default browser there is a voice that says "loading started" "page loaded" each time I open a new page. where that came from and how I turn it off?

None could stream (flash) videos. They either weren't able to do it at all, or did it with lots of stuttering. What is the best way to play flash videos in web pages?
