View 1 Replies View RelatedFirst: I have to edit the SystemUI.apk or the Framework-res.apk? (because in systemui i dont have battery icons, but yes wifi and etc); And in framework-res i have all the statusbar icons.
Second: I have to edit the .png images with patch 9.png or something?
Third: All the images to replace have to be exactly the same size of pixel? or 2 or 3 pixel more high or width doesnt matters?
I'd like to accomplish getting animated icons into the status bar of newer devices Android 4.2+, but don't really know where to start and don't have any real development behind me here.
Having an animated icons in status bar is something not many people have thought up and it's great for customization!
How to get started on this project, and I know it can be accomplished, the PacRom
Team has a USB debugging icon that is fully animated, I have been in contact and am making a little progress here and there.

How do I organize my icons? How do I move them? I've got icons all over the place is seemingly random locations, with no apparent way to move them.
I have uninstalled some sys apps on a Xperia Neo L which has android 4.0.1. Fortunately I have backedup the uninstalled apps. Problem is I can not move the icons anymore! Which application controls that?
When I press the menu button, I can see a 5 pages of apps. In the bottom right there is an icon consisting of four squares, one of them is skewd. Now I press that, and see the screen color changes. Then I press an hold an icon. What I expect is a little virbation and then I can move the icon. In reality I dont' hear any vibration hence icon doesn't move.
I'm running CM7 on my original Droid. I'm using the phone strictly as a VOIP Phone and the cellular connection is deactivated. I've used Ninjamorph to black out the cell phone signal bars, but now there is a big space between my wifi icon and the battery icon (where the cell signal bars used to be). So is there a way that I can swap the positions of the cell phone bars and the wifi icon? Or maybe just a way to remove the cell phone bars from the notification bar?

I have ADW launcher EX and ROOT access. The problem started to appear after I have gained root access... it seems.
Is there a way to hide permanent notification icons in the staus bar, like the Juice Defender Icon, Lux, App Clip, and etc? These take up room for the regular notification.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to make the status bar icons opaque on an ics Rom (the icons to the left, like the debugging, usb, unread notifications, etc.) as in kitkat roms. What values should i change? I'm sure it's not on drawables.xml and it's not the png's either (they are already opaque). Statusbar.smali maybe? if that's the case, what are the lines that i should modify?
Here, some screenshots:

So I have installed a deodexed ROM for my Samsung galaxy GT-S6312 (young duos) and I want to change the status bar icons. I am talking about [URL] .... ( the red-squared bar with battery clock etc). How do I do it? Already went for xposed mod and it didn't worked.
View 1 Replies View RelatedCM10.1 or AOKP theme where the only thing that changes from stock is that the status bar icons, specifically signal, battery and wifi are white instead of Holo blue? Either that or a theme that replaces the status bar with MIUI bar icons but maintains the rest of the UI would be great as well. I tried one called HoloWhite, as well as a couple other minimalistic ones, but with those some of the icon styles changed.

I followed a guide in order to change framework-res.apk and SystemUI.apk from /system/ ( my phone is rooted + cwm) but i couldnt get it going (i couldnt find all the icons to change).
How to remove a specific status bar icons and change the order of icon display? I think we need to edit the smali files, but I'm not sure which one to edit.

View 8 Replies View RelatedIf you're running my rom and would like to add some different statusbar icons to your screen, I threw together an update for you.
I made these icons for me, so you may or may not like them. GPS, signal strength, 3g, battery, and a few other icons were changed.
There's no update to remove the icons, so do a nandroid backup before you install them incase you don't like them, then you can easily restore your default icons if you don't like the update.
Here's a screenshot.
Installation: Copy icons-update.zip to your sdcard. Reboot your phone into recovery mode. Select Flash Zip from Sdcard. Choose icons-update.zip.
Remember, do a nand backup first!
Download: icons-update.zip
I wouldn't recommend applying this update to any ROM other than mine, as other ROM's might have modified framework files themselves, and this would overwrite their stuff.
In Bluetooth application I am noticing it is displaying multiple icons not number. I updated number of notification object, then it was displaying number and but also multiple icons.how to disable this multiple icons?
View 1 Replies View Relatedlg ally stock rom with dxtop. is there a way to change status bar icons on desktop, if not how do i do it by keeping stock rom?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI've downloaded a few applications so far and even though they were successful, I have a bunch of 'download complete' icons on the top status bar of my home screen. At least, that is what I think they mean. I did not find a description of them in the user manual They look like a little black 'page' with a check-mark in the middle.
Do they have any meaning (other than download complete)? How do they get cleared out? They are filling up my status bar. I bet if I reboot they will go away, but it seems like they should disappear after a short period of time (they don't).
Is there an app, or a zip file to flash, to where i can choose to hide certain icons from the status bar? i like to just turn my screen on to see if i have any notifications, but i hate it how i get the "more" icon, where you have to drag the status bar down, only to find out it was just an update notification.
View 3 Replies View RelatedBy the 'arrange icons' option I seem to be only able to delete icons (or unistall the applications). I wonder how I could move them around, as in really *arrange* them. There's a weird thing happened. I have now 5 pages of icons, but the last spot on Page 4 is always left blank. Even if I install a new app, this spot won't fill up, the new icon would appear on Page 5. I wonder how I could get rid of such nuisance.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI've seen this posted before however I'd really like to revisit it. In dealing with a small res device I would like to hide the status bar, my current solution has been to make it transparent and 'make a mess' of the framework and xml so that certain icons are no longer shown, for example the battery icon only shows a png when it's low, the ticker font is transparent etc. I'd much rather do this the proper way, via the source in android 2.1 So who has ideas for; Making the status bar hide when the launcher is open? not having the notification ticker at all? Disabling the status bar completely?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI've looked all over the forum, but don't see any recent posts for my question. So I'm hoping someone can help... I would like to hide or remove unwanted icons from the left side of the notification/status bar. I realize most programs give you this option, but some don't (such as the latest version of Norton security program). It just sits up there and hogs up real estate. Ideally, it would also be nice to be able to rearrange the icons, or make them larger if desired..
View 1 Replies View RelatedI haven't sprung for a profile app yet, considering Locale and Setting Profiles. Anyone know if there is one available that has a lot of functionality, as well as a dynamic icon that will display what profile is active?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm working on an application that displays the location of moving items on a Google MapView. I need a way to update the position of the icons that represent the items (as well as change the facing of the icons every two seconds as updated data comes in). I currently have an activity in the app that extends MapActivity. On to this I have overlaid a static Overlay that draws some lines on the map and an ItemizedOverlay that draws a static icon.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI know how to remove widgets... you long press on them to move them/delete them. My problem is this: I don't know how to remove regular icons on the Hero. On the Moment, everything was simply long press to remove. On this, long pressing the application icons on my home screen(s) just opens the associated programs. I kind of wanted to move them around, I don't wanna have to delete a scene everytime I want to move one icon around.
In short: How do you move/delete application icons from the home screens? (long pressing doesn't work for me)
