Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 Mini/pro : How Do I Move Icons Around?

By the 'arrange icons' option I seem to be only able to delete icons (or unistall the applications). I wonder how I could move them around, as in really *arrange* them. There's a weird thing happened. I have now 5 pages of icons, but the last spot on Page 4 is always left blank. Even if I install a new app, this spot won't fill up, the new icon would appear on Page 5. I wonder how I could get rid of such nuisance.

Hello, I have a X10 mini pro connected to 3G, recently I saw instead of the 3G icon a "H" Icons; what would that mean, is it connected to HSDPA network?, thanks for the replies.

I hate to look at all the different icons of apps I don't use so is there a way to hide them? Not just take them to far far away screen, I mean really hide them. I decided not to try root the phone because I don't have knowledge and will just ruin it.

Please is it possible for me to browse the internet on my pc using my sonyericsson xperia x10 mini pro. Dont know how cause the phone doesnt support Pc suite, only Pc companion, and hence I dont know how else to do it.

I received my new x10 mini phone a few days ago and am really impressed by it.
But...
After the phone has been off, the camera works fine the first time I start it.
And if I close the camera application and start it again straight away it also works fine.
But if I wait for maybe half an hour or more and then open the camera application, the phone reboots itself.
This is very repeatable and it looks like there's something wrong in the software or so.

Have owned an xperia mini pro for about 2 weeks now. It has a problem that every few days or so the screen locks up and becomes unresponsive and the only way to reset it is to do a battery pull. My question basically is should I take it back to the shop, or is it likely to need to have android reinstalled or something?
It did this on the very first startup after unboxing, it froze up when choosing the language setting, so obviously it is unrelated to any other apps i have installed. At the time I didnt think it was too much of a problem but then as I say, it started doing it every few days.

I am not able to copy the photos from mobile to my computer.I have tried reinstalling the PC Companion suite and also have updated to mobile to Android version 2.0.The folder where the photos reside in the mobile is not coming up in the Phone Card Memory,Can any one helpe to sort out this issue? Or Is there ant seetings option which I am overlooking?

I have just purchased an X10 mini pro, however there is no applications bar in the bottom of the screen. The following instructions therefore do not make sense:You can personalise the home screen by adding application shortcuts: 1) from the home screen, tap the applications bar2) press menu bar and tap add3) in the Add to home screen menu, select the item you want to add How do I add app shortcuts to the desktop? Where is the applications bar? I also cant find mediascape, where is this?

I have tried the app funninly enough called Photo Zoom but the quality is terrible and does not support the remaining features of the in current software such as taking photos in low light etc. Also can anyone tell me if the update will perhaps increase the ammount of bluetooth headsets that r compatible with the mini pro. I have 2 very good headsets at the moment from previous phones but unfortuneately my mini pro cannot find them.

I have a mini pro...i had issues earlier as i didnt have an active data connection on my mini pro..but nw as i have it...not one inbuilt app is working! Facebook,gmail,gtalk,android market,youtube etc. dont work at all..Each of them gives an error that you dont have an active connection! All of the above does open via the normal browser on mini pro..but not through these builtin apps!

I just bought my xperia x10 mini pro. it comes with a lot of applications. Even games where the trial period has expired. I can't remove them at all. I can only remove those i install myself.

Just got my X10 and will surely buy a bigger SD card. However, there is a lot of stuff on the SD that came with the phone including stuff from apps that I have loaded. What is the best way to move all that to a new SD without looing any functions?

Picked up my X10 yesterday from Vodafone and I am loving it! Always had SE and when I heard about this little beauty I couldn't wait to get it! My first Android phone so still getting used to it! Been reading through loads of Threads about Tone Picker and stuff and its sorted me right out, one thing which I cant do it make Folders in my Menu to tidy it up a bit? For example I wanna put all the Moxier (Calendar, contacts, Mail etc) into one folder so it looks let bogged up! Can you even add folders and move stuff?

My prime use is in business, earlier one was E63, lost.Mini Pro is a great one: Qwerty, android, Camera, small (Well, I dont know many cons...may be powerless battery may be one)Now can I download MS Office to this one?I need to 'import' MS Word template pages (Quotation forms to be filled appropriately to each customer to send Quotes in business).And also keep accounts details with many customers, to be updated frequently. Is this kind of 'laptop' jobs possible in it?I know a E63 or E72 or BB is most suitable. But I love it's above addl. qualities.

I bought my xperia mini pro 2 weeks ago, and it never be able to install any applications.
There is no android market icon on home screen so i searched "android market" on internet and using internet browse version.
I can access android market (androidzoom?) and find applicatin, but it says " yo do not have permission to open this page. market://~~~(url)".
I can do nothing without applications...

I just got the x10 and have a few questions. This is my first android/data using phone so they are probably dumb but I just wanna make sure before I get charged any extra. First, am I correct in that if I use Wi-Fi I will avoid the 3g charges since Im using another internet source? Also do things like the MobileTV and GPS use data?My second question was about mediascape. Is there any way to move or cut/paste media into different folders so that they dont show up in mediascape but rather have their own designated folder?

Fellas, I've got another question about my X10 Mini.I've been downloading many apps from Android Market and there are so many good ones, but also some others pretty awful.The thing is that unninstalling some apps from the phone leaves me gaps in the menu.I've got pages of the downer menu with only six icons, when the space allows 9. How can i re-arrange the icons to put them in order?Is there an option in the phone as it comes, or do I have to download an app from the market?

After updating to 2.1 I noticed something new in the Phonebook. Short pressing on a contact gave 3 icons regarding that contact; call, text and one other I can't remember. Since then I've re-installed the old apps including ADW launcher and now these 3 icons are nowhere to be found. How I can get these icons back?

My girlfriend recently bought a Sony Ericsson Xperia Android phone. For the most part, she loves it.
Except that Sony Ericsson has changed the emoticons in the chat application.
On my phone, an HTC-03A (aka HTC Magic), the emoticons look like little aliens. (Yes, I know they are supposed to be robots, like the Android logo, but my girlfriend thinks of them as "aliens" because they have antennae and are green).
On her phone, the Xperia, they changed the icons to use regular rounded yellow happy faces and so on.
She is miffed. She likes the aliens, and considers the phone somewhat "broken" without them.
So... suddenly it's a task in my life to see if I can change the Sony Ericsson emoticons to Android "alien" icons.
I had hoped it was a matter of simply changing some image files... however, from what I see on the web, it looks like I need to:
Gain access to a file on the phone called framework-res.apk
Copy that file to a computer.
Edit the file to put in the right icons.
Put it back on the phone
I am unclear on how exactly to do these steps. The discussions I've seen were among people who seemed to have a better understanding than me, and did not explain some aspects. For example, they took it for granted that the necessary files were accessible, however I can't see where framework-res.apk is.
I have not "rooted" an Android phone before, and I'm hoping I don't have to go to truly deep levels of phone software configuration that carries the risk of destabilizing either her phone or mine.
I'm assuming I can get the correct "alien" icons off of my phone to put on hers. (I notice they have those very same icons on this forum... is there a place I can download them as a set?)

Well I encountered a really weird and not pleasent experience with my x10 today. I had it charging overnight like probably everyone who has one does and than I unplugged it to get started for the day. However, when I unplugged it from the usb cord, the screen got locked and flashed. So I turned it off and turned it back on. Well when it came back on, I had LOST everything that I had setup on my 3 screens! No icons, no nothing! Everything was gone except for the wallpaper or theme, which was the same I had setup. I did have ADW setup as my launcher, but all my launchers were gone as well. When I held down the center button, which would normally bring up my launcher option, it brought me to the homescreen.
So now I have to go through and resetup all of the icons and screens. Not a big ordeal, but what is troubling me is why did it even happen?

Keep getting told incorrect username or password but i know it's correct cause i changed it via the internet. I enabled visible passwords too. It contains numbers which seems to be a problem for the phone as i had the same issue with my google account, i had to change my password to only letters to log in. I don't really want to change my password to letters as it will be less secure. Any ideas?

How to find/get mms or sms animations? As a previous user of a c905 you could add little animations to your text message. On this phone there only seems to be smileys and considering this is a newer model, I thought that there would be a vast amount of features included on this phone.
