Nov 26, 2010Having waited for FROYO for a while now I was really pleased that Kies had an update which I think includes the Froyo update. I downloaded the update but my phone is not showing as connected in Kies mode. If I attach the phone in mass storage mode it is recognised!Having only just switched from iPhone to Android I cannot believe how shyte Samsung/T-Mobile have been with the software for such a great piece of hardware.I have tried rebooting laptop and phone as well as reinstalling Kies.

Sep 25, 2013I am having SAMSUNG GALAXY S ADVANCE GT- I9070.I have upgraded my OS to Jelly Bean 4.1.2, but I am encountering many problems like freezing of screen, high RAM usage, games not running as expected, etc.
I want to get this problem rectified by re-installing the firmware, but there is no option in SAMSUNG KIES showing Re- Install the firmware..Is there any other way to get this problem rectified??

Jul 30, 2012I recently got CM9 on my Xperia Arc lt15. Overall I'm happy with it except Apollo. I find it difficult to make a playlist. You have to press every freaking song to add it to a playlist. Why not have an option to select some or all songs? Or am I doing it wrong?

Dec 4, 2012How do you get the on device playlist within "play music app" to udpate/refresh. I have copied music files to my phone SD card, all the songs from the playlist and when look at artist, or other views it see that these are on device, but when go to the playlist it does not, also if I remove a song from the playlist from the web it still shows on device.
I don't want to download songs to device from the play cloud, like to move them over from PC. also do not want to stream from the cloud all the time, I listen to music too much to use that much data.
I want to just use the native play music app from google, but the on device functions are not up to par and end up using apps like power amp etc.

I have the Samsung Galaxy Note II (AT&T), and i have not rooted it or put any custom ROMs or whatever onto it. i have been using the music player app that came with the device. (not the google play one that looks like headphones, the app that i use is a blue and white circle with a blue play symbol in the middle and a green musical note on the right side. just for reference) i just added a playlist, expecting the songs to be in the order that they were when i made the playlist in Kies. however, they were actually in alphabetical order and had numbers next to them (01, for example). i would like to be able to change the order somehow, or sync it so that the songs appear in the order they are in on kies.

Feb 5, 2013Never happened before but i flashed a new rom and of course the playlists that i had before were still there (no data wipe needed). i added some songs to the end of my gym playlist and alls fine. every day i need to re-add all the songs though. if i check around mid day, then some of the songs are disappearing and by the eve - the play list is back as it was when i flashed the rom. the songs themselves are still on my SD card though

General :: Galaxy S2 - Playlist Songs Stop Working After A While?
Dec 15, 2012I'm running a new galaxy s2 and am running into a major problem with the playlists I'm creating. After I create a new playlist and spend time putting songs in them they work for a while untill, usually overnight when I try and play them again the song stays at 0 seconds and will not play. I havent found any other forums addressing this problem and I'm going crazy trying to fix it especially since in my trouble shooting i cant seem to find one thing that makes it happen. Its not certain songs or certain playlist. The songs work fine untill for some reason they wont play anymore. My phone recongnizes them and the same song will play if I play it through the normal route (Atrists or albums) but when i play it from a playlist it wont play. Also i am running this music from an sd card and this is a new problem and it happens with all the music players i try. I was on winamp and then i moved to player pro because i thought the problem was with winamp but its happening with player pro to.

General :: Spotify Backup And Restore Offline Playlist
Sep 8, 2012My issue is that after flashing a new rom (after wiping data/factory reset) Spotify will automatically delete my offline playlist. Using Titanium or any other backup solution WILL not work with spotify. After restoring it will restore default settings of the app and log you out.
I have tried copying the Spotify folder from my phone to my computer, than pasting after flashing the rom, but this does not work. Any way to NOT have to re-download spotify playlist after flashing roms?

Jun 22, 2013My phone(Samsung Galaxy GT-B5510 (Galaxy Y Pro/Galaxy TXT)) was totally bricked, I couldn't turn wifi on, nothing worked.After I searched some forums I found how to un-brick it by loading the original firmware.
I live in Belgium, and I couldn't find a firmware with the Belgian CSC("PRO"), so I used a Netherlandish-one.Everything went fine and I can use my phone again, everything works, except that the AZERTY-keyboard functions as a QWERTY-one(the default for Netherlands).
Anyways, my phone works fine without a SIM-card. Whenever I try to boot my phone with a SIM inserted, it gets stuck in a bootloop, showing the Samsung-image for about 15 seconds and then rebooting and so on.
So after I thought a bit, I figured out the problem must be that I'm not using a Belgian CSC (my SIM is from Belgium too).
I tried restoring my phone with Samsung Kies, but whenever I click Start upgrade, I get a Chinese error.
However, I have found the location where Kies downloaded the firmware, and the firmware is with a PRO-csc(the one I need), it's located in
C:Users{me}AppDataTempBinaryGT-B5510.
So I tried flashing this Kies-firmware with ODIN, but the problem is that the Kies-firmware has no extension(no .tar.md5 or whatever), so I can't import it with ODIN.What do I do?

Especially if I want to create playlists *on my computer*, then have those playlists show up in my phone with the songs in the same order as they were organized on my computer.

But whenever it "keeps requested music" it seems like its redownloading the entire playlist over again, not just songs I just added to the playlist. It's like it deleted the playlist I had, and is redownloading it again.

May 12, 2012Google Music. My only caveat is making a playlist available offline temporarily, and then deleting it once I'm done.
It makes sense for the subway, etc.
I'll load up a new album, and I normally listen to the album as a whole and then get rid of it to free up space (and to decide which songs make it to my main playlist).
I'm using a HTC One X, so 16gb is a bit limiting and I can't have it full of music.

General :: Download Mode Won't Be Recognized By Kies
May 10, 2014I have been running varying versions of cyanogenmod 10.1 and 10.2 for about year on my T-Mobile Galaxy S3, but today I tried to update it to a version of 11 today without a computer, just on my phone through the standard Cyanogenmod built in rom updater. It downloaded fine, but when attempting to install it it had an error and stopped. Now the only thing my phone will do is boot into clockwork mod recovery mode, and download mode. The download mode won't be recognized by kies or my computer, though my computer does make a beep sound when I plug it in. I have tried a lot of things, but nothing at all will work so my phone is essentially bricked right now.

- Act Player.. does the job but only on Gingerbread (I have a GB Galaxy S phone). On ICS the playlist feature does not work
- Vplayer - does not support shuffle and after 4th or 5th video starts to stutter
- Mobo player - does the job but does not support shuffle and the little monster is getting tired of the first 10 vids she has to watch all over again every day

Mar 22, 2012I installed Resurrection Remix v9.6 on my SGS2 which is brilliant apart from my one issue. I can't find Kies Air on the Market place and I can't install it direct from my PC as it says it is not compatible with my device.
I use this quite a lot and think this ROM would tick all ot the boxes if I could get it working.
