I want to delete multiple SMS on same thread. I was using this app "Super SMS Quick Delete" from the store until JB4.3, and it worked very well! But it doesn't work with Kitkat... how can I do?

I want to delete a bunch messages from one thread and keep the others, I don't want to delete the whole thread. The messaging app I'm using is stock JB 4.2.2.
Questions:
1. Is it possible to do it without other apps?
2. If not which messaging app do you recommend? I prefer something close to stock and light.
3. Are AOKP or CM10 using stock SMS app or they do have their own?
4. If they use their app, are they have the option I mentioned?
Still learning on Samsung Galaxy Ring; how can I delete all texts in a thread rather than just delete one at a time? I played around with touch, slide, etc.

Then, when I reply to the last person who texted me under that thread, it goes to the first person on the thread and not the person intended. Went to the Sprint store the first time this happened, they did a hard reset and that worked for a couple of days but having same problem again. Tried disabling my task manager but that didn't help this problem either. I downloaded Handcent and disabled Hero's text messaging but no luck with that. Please help....ready to throw this phone against the wall. Has anyone else had this problem? Anybody know how to fix this problem?

View 9 Replies View RelatedA new question about android and services. Currently I'm developing a App that should send images to a server. It should also be possible to send more images parallel. I made a service that creates for every image a new image. The activity can bind to that service and gather information about the progress. I want to show the current status for every image in a notification (and when the user clicks a notification, an activity with the progress for that image should be shown). But I get several problems with that approach. There are errors with binding, the notification pending event starts the activity completely new, so I lose information about currently sending images and so on. How I could design in a appropriate way.

I have configured the account on my mobile to not delete the e-mails on the mailbox of my provider because this is done when I download the e-mails later on my notebook with Outlook.I get about 200-300 emails daily. Except that I can't figure out how to do a couple of things. 1. Is there a way to select and delete multiple emails on the phone and 2. How do I get rid of all my spam mail that comes in on the laptop (and gets filtered out there). 1 - how do I change the alert notification for my calendar? Originally it was just the standard alert. When I view the settings there was the option to use the standard droid alert of use a ringtone. So, playing around I cheeked use a ring tone. It brought me to a directory(?) or folder with 4 songs that I had downloaded using railio(sp) ringtones. Now that's the only place I can get to for ALL alerts and ringtones. Even for my contacts it goes to the 4 songs I downloaded from railio ringtones and I can't navigate anywhere else.
I have gone into manage applications and uninstalled the ringtone program, but still can't get out of that spot for my alerts and ringtones. It's driving me crazy!
2 - My contacts have multiple entries for one person.
How can I delete the multiple entries for a contact? When I edit the contact information for a person I see 3 - 5 duplicate entries for one contact. When I first got my droid I synced with 2 google accounts - I didn't know what I was doing --- so, the information under one contact is repeated many times.
How can I implement a run() method of thread if I create a Thread Global?
I mean If I create a Thread Globally then can I implement its run() method {" public void run()"} anywhere in my Application?
In the run() method I have to write the code to perform some action.

I am writing an application in which i need to handle messages between the main thread(the deafult UI related thread) and the user created Gamethread.
The requirement is like this.
An activity(say "Activity_X") is setting the view by "setContentView(some "View_Y")". In "Activity_X" i have implemeted "onCreateOptionsMenu()" and "onOptionsItemSelected()" fucntions for creating menus & a switch case for action to be taken on selecting those menus.Menu has items like "resume/pause/zoom/" .
All action to be take on selecting these menus are implemented in "View_Y" in a separate Gamethread by extending "Thread" class.
So whenever a menu is selected in "Activity_X" i need to send a message to "View_Y". And on receiving this ,a particular action/method should be called in View_Y(GameThread).
How can i achieve this using Handlers?Is there any other way of doing this? Please do share with me some code snippets for these.
Does anyone know how to delete certain texts from a thread in an easy manner instead of having to delete a whole thread??
