How to modify the actual value temperature alert popup (currently 45C) in a MT65xx CPU based phone.
I have this issue because during the recharge of the phone my temps will reach about 40-45C and I receive the alert.

Just trying to get an idea of how hot is normal. so how hot is the hottest you have seen your droid cpu get?
ONLY POST YOUR ACTUAL CPU TEMPS, NOT BATTERY TEMPS.
I'm using Evil Eris 3.0, but all the dates are in the European format (day/month/year). Is there a way to change that to (month/day/year)? Also, temperatures are reading in Celsius when I would prefer Fahrenheit. Is there a way to change that too?

For crying out loud all I want to do is change the alert for facebook. As it is now all it does is vibrate, I want it to make a noise, is that too much to ask? Switched from iphone to Droid Ultra. Way too much to go through just to change an alert.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI tried the apps "Handcent" and "Sms Popup" and set them to automatically display a popup on the lock screen when there is a new sms (similiar to the iPhone).Both apps, however, only display the popup after the lock screen.I guess this has something to do with this "great" touchwiz overlay Samsung is using. View 1 Replies View RelatedI use the AlertDialog class in my application. By default, these alert dialogs have a transparent background. I'm trying to use an opaque background instead, very unsuccessfully.
These are my styles:

I applied the "MyOpaqueActivity" style successfully for whole activities (the window background is changed to "my_background"), but it doesn't work for alert dialogs within those activities. The "alertDialogStyle" attribute and my "MyOpaqueAlertDialog" style don't seem to have any effect.
So how can I change the background of these alert dialogs?
I know on my old BB I could change the times when I get alerts. For example, I don't want my phone beeping at me when I get an e-mail at 3 a.m. On my BB I could set those alerts to be active say from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. So far, I haven't been able to find out how to do that on the Fascinate.

I have placed it on the sd card under Audio/Notifications and I can play the sound file OK but when i go to the settings of the sms app (Handcent SMS) and choose Notification Setting and then Select Ringtone, it does not display the sound file. 1 - how do I change the alert notification for my calendar? Originally it was just the standard alert. When I view the settings there was the option to use the standard droid alert of use a ringtone. So, playing around I cheeked use a ring tone. It brought me to a directory(?) or folder with 4 songs that I had downloaded using railio(sp) ringtones. Now that's the only place I can get to for ALL alerts and ringtones. Even for my contacts it goes to the 4 songs I downloaded from railio ringtones and I can't navigate anywhere else.
I have gone into manage applications and uninstalled the ringtone program, but still can't get out of that spot for my alerts and ringtones. It's driving me crazy!
2 - My contacts have multiple entries for one person.
How can I delete the multiple entries for a contact? When I edit the contact information for a person I see 3 - 5 duplicate entries for one contact. When I first got my droid I synced with 2 google accounts - I didn't know what I was doing --- so, the information under one contact is repeated many times.
Is there a task manager that'll kill apps and permanently kill tasks processes? I've noticed that some will kill the task then the task will automatically start back up again...
Looking for the best that'll actually purge the memory and all that.
I'm a longtime iPhone user (since 3G) who just switched to Android and the Galaxy Note 3 this week. There are several things I miss about iOS, and one of them is badge notifications without the need for a 3rd party app. Ideally, when I'm due a notification from Facebook, I want only a badge notification on the app's icon, like you do in iOS, and I'm getting that with "Missed it!" installed. However, I don't want an actual notification (via audible tone and indicator) in the notification bar. Is it possible to disable notifications via the notification bar, but still have it display a badge notification on the icon?

I use go sms and successfully turned off its popup notification.
I have notification unchecked in the native message app on my skyrocket galaxy II. I noticed it says "display message notifications in status bar" It say nothing about popups...but I have it off anyway.
I use the iphone notifications app (mimics iphone banners). It works fine but I also get the popup with the android man... and I can't shut it off.
If I go into go sms and check the suppress other notifications... it works... so there is a process out there to suppress......
I just can't find the place that is generating the notifications....
I like LBE Privacy Guard, especially for its on-demand permission requests when an app asks to access my SMS Inbox or whatnot; I like that I can ensure that it never accesses it, always does without asking, or continues to ask each time.
I'm also using the firewall with mixed results; I don't like having to choose each app and whether it's allowed to access the internet via 3g/wifi ahead of time. I'd like a popup request with similar options (though I guess it would be more like a timeout rather than per-session, e.g. "yes it can access the internet over my 3g connection but only for the next 10 minutes."
Is there already an app that does this? I've checked a few firewall apps like Droid Wall (and a few similar apps) and they don't offer this on-demand (or on-app-accessing-internet, I suppose!)
At what seem like random times a pop up message "Looks like you forgot to declare the Millennial Media MMAdViewOverlayActivity in your manifest file" comes on my screen.
I have googled the error and it seems to be attributed to either Angry Birds, Barnes and Noble or ubersoft.
I dont have any such software on my phone....... In fact I dont have that much software at all on my phone.

I own a rooted Droid RAZR M with ADAWAY installed but am having trouble recently. My browser, no matter which one, as Ive tried fixing this already, continues to open by itself every couple of minutes going to [url]..... I've tried new host files and different ad blocking apps, Even froze google chrome using titanium backup and installed fire fox but it continues to happen.

and the only way out is to either press the Okay button or force stop the browser.The browser it most recently happened with has been with Dolphin Mini browser - can't remember if it occurred through my Android's native Internet browser or not, either way it takes me to a site called Mobgifts(dot)org
I did some research and some said it was a virus, but I have Lookout installed on my device and scan it weekly and just did a scan yesterday - all was clean..

I need pop-up notifications of missed voice calls and SMS text messages. The pop-up should remain on the screen until dismissed/acknowledged. If the screen times out, I would like the message to reappear after I log in to the phone. Generally I can't get my phone out quickly enough to see the original message. I can't tell whether I've missed a call or a text message, so I have to check both. I find the missed call format especially unfriendly. I'm using Calendar Event Reminder and loving it. It would be great to find soemthing that works similarly for calls and text messages.
I must have installed some app or selected some option. About 5 minutes after missing a text message the phone produces an very annoying sound. I hope that when I install a new notification app or setting that this annoyance will go away.
I just got a "new" samsung galaxy s3 a few days ago and the only problem I've come across so far is that none of the sms pop up apps I download work. I've used SMS Popup on my previous phones in conjunction with Handcent SMS with no problem. I'm frustrated because I can't figure out why NONE of the apps, SMS 7, Popup Notifier, or SMS Popup, will work. And when I say doesn't work I mean I can open the app and change the settings, but nothing ever happens when I get a text - no popup, no notification, no sound, no LED light. But I've tried the Handcent pop up and it works just fine?
