I'm playing Simcity Deluxe on my HTC Desire HD. The app isn't officially compatible with the phone so I'm getting a bug where it recognizes my phone as a tablet and displays the tablet UI instead of the phone UI, which makes the buttons much smaller and more difficult to tap.
Is there a way to force the app to recognize my phone as a phone?

View 1 Replies View RelatedAs I had a Nokia N85 laying around, containing a 8GB micro SDHC class 6 memory card, I was planning on using this on my desire, since that only came with a 4gb card. However, I formatted the 8GB card in windows, (to fat 32). (I've might have formatted the partitions and everything as well). But either the Desire or PC cant find my SD card at this point. When I put the 8gb card into my N85 and then connect the N85 to my PC, the computer finds it. My N85 has no problem locating the SD card either. What to I have to do to the SD card to be able to use it with my Desire?
View 8 Replies View RelatedI used the recovery mode first time - it worked, second time playing with NoBloat - it gets stuck in boot screen.I can go to the recovery mode menu, both chinese and english, can do a full clear cache, data, format, but phone still won't boot.
I can use ADB shell, but Smart phone flash tool does not recognize phone, MTK droid tool recognizes it, but I can't backup it.
I have recently purchased a smartphone from ebay some copycat brand model named q9000 and I am trying to mount a SD card (ADATA 16GB UHS-1), but when I put the card into the phone the card its just not recognized by the phone and Its just keep saying insert card for mounting.

View 8 Replies View Relatedi have a kyocera hydro. i took my 8gb sd card from my old phone, deleted a few things from it that i didnt see a use in having on there (don't ask me what exactly, i dont remember now), and tried to simply put my pictures and music back onto the sd card to have in the hydro.
the folders listed on the card are as follows: .android_secure, Android, fastnote, LOST.DIR, and smvvm. the phone wont recognize my photos or music. i tried putting the music files in numerous places on the card to see if they'd be found, to no avail. i'm not sure if i deleted something i need on there, if i can get that back if that's the case.
odin cant can recognize my s1. the yellow thing doesn't show up when i connect my phone. and when i try to make i in download mode,my phone just show the photo in the attachment i gve you.

I previously had a Galaxy S2 which I could connect to my Cooper via USB and it would read my music, playlists and podcasts and play them on the car speakers. About a year ago it stopped doing that and I thought it was b/c the phone was so old. I eventually upgraded to Galaxy S5 now in April, and the car still will not recognize the phone, read my music, playlist and podcasts. I took it to dealership but they say it's an Android problem. we bought the new Infiniti and I have the same problem. Before I try to take the Infiniti back to the dealer. I have no issues with the Bluetooth picking up the phone's functions and making calls, but cannot get the audio system to recognize or read my files and play them.

View 6 Replies View RelatedRecently I just did the force apps to SD on my desire (froyo). However, I realize that after the force apps to SD, my desire speed slow down and lags. For example it take a few secs to open an apps while previously it was rather quick. And also, the handcent SMS take rather long to open.

I have factory reset, uninstalled everything, still the same. If I clear the cookies, cache, etc, and remove my homepage of google.co.uk, it seems fine. The T-Mobile default homepage works fine if I type a capital A. If I set Google.co.uk, and type a capital A, it force closes.
Hmm....and after a bit of digging....it only seems to do it on Google Mobile sites. Classic Google.com and .co.uk are fine. Google force loses, as does .com/m.
Anyone have the same issue, or know whats causing this?
I have added photos to my Desire but Gallery does not recognise them until I reboot or remount the card.Is there a way to force it to pick up changes to folders outside of the camera DCIM structure?

I've tried totally uninstalling/reinstalling it, clearing data/cache/dalvik to no avail, any pointers? or is this simply how it is now?

The software and drivers installed without a problem.The device, however, was not recognized by Sync. Try as I might.Tinkered with the settings in the handset, too - eg. prompt to choose function (I don't even get a prompt when I connect the USB!), checked debugger mode, et al.The phone continues to charge; and that's the only thing that happens.I am running Windows XP (32 bit), SP3. View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm having a weird issue where after I successfully rooted my Samsung Galaxy S3 (following a guide from androidcentral) every time my phone encounters an application force close, the phone will freeze up and eventually restart. Before rooting my phone, whenever an application would force close all I would get was a notification telling me <application name> had closed unexpectedly, as it should in Android. Now I'm not seeing that, phone just goes to black and then restarts. This wouldn't be a huge deal, but since I'm using it as a development platform, having your phone restart every time your application crashes takes a lot of time.
What's really weird is that Logcat will continue to scroll (in Eclipse) even after the phone is frozen to input (so its not a system wide lock up).
I found https://groups.google.com/group/android-developers/browse_thread/thre but I cannot respond to that thread anymore (perhaps they expire?). I've tried with both the 1.5 SDK and the 1.6 SDK. I have tried all the suggestions in the aforementioned thread. I can mount the device just fine, but adb does not work whether it is mounted or not. I've tried it both as root and as myself and with it in $PATH as well as using. In the dir. Adb appears to "work" as it tells me "List of devices attached". At some point right after I installed 1.5, I remember setting something up to make the USB connection easier, but I don't remember what that was. My hypothesis at this point is that is somehow interfering, but any help you can give either way would be much appreciated.
View 4 Replies View Relatedi just got my desire afew days ago, i installed dolphin browser which i love but each time i visit a site i normally go on, it keeps on force closing down. its like a pop up that tells me internet explorer etc needs to close. now i have the update 2.1 which came with the phone but is their a way of fixing this issue? quite annoying.
View 3 Replies View RelatedThis morning I started seeing errors about the SD card not being available. I checked under setting and sure enough it wasn't available. It worked perfectly yesterday. The first thing I thought of was that the card went bad since I bought a 16GB one off eBay. So I shut down and replaced the SD card with the 8GB one it came with. No change. The phone just doesn't recognize an SD card anymore.

I just purchased the Fascinate and I love it. I'm trying to transfer my music and photos from the vcast application on my computer to the phone. I loaded the application on my computer and searched for the music and pics. That worked fine. When I plug in the phone, the computer doesn't see the phone. USB issue.

View 4 Replies View RelatedAfter successfully sorting out all the troubles of connecting SGS to KIES, and been using it happily for almost a month, now I'm facing another trouble which is quite big this time. Windows Vista (32-bit) and Windows 7 (64-bit) can't recognize the phone when connected through the USB. Got a message says the USB Device/Hardware Is Not Recognized. I'm using the SGS original cable. The cable was working perfectly and now suddenly it doesn't work in data mode but still able to recharge the phone battery. Am I having a cable problem? Or worst, the USB connector (on the phone) problem? I tried to clean the USB connector on the phone but still can't connect the phone to my computers.
