Aug 5, 2012I wanted to make my own bootanimation for the Galaxy Nexus.So i pulled a bootanimation out of the ROM i am currently using and replaced the png with my own ones (same size).
Then i pulled the bootanimation back to the rom and flashed it... But the animation doesn't start. At boot up the phone just hangs at a black screen and i had to restore from the backup i made...I uploaded the bootanimation. why it doesn't work?
General :: Galaxy Nexus - Changing Settings Menu Options
Jan 5, 2013I'm running a Galaxy Nexus, and the ROM I'm currently on has a performance option in the Settings Menu, which gives control of the kernel and stuff. However, I'd rather use TricksterMod, and I would like to be able to launch TricksterMod from Settings instead of the Performance app.
So far, I've decompiled my Settings.apk, and looked through the files, and I'm not sure what to change.
I have to change settings esxmlsettings_headers.xml, correct? Specifically,

I would also have to change settings esvaluesstrings.xml, specifically, the string referenced by "@string/performance_settings_title" so that I can have the correct name, correct?
And similarly, settings esdrawable, for the icon.
The big question is, what do I replace with for "com.android.settings.performance.PerformanceSetti ngs"? Do I need to move TricksterMod somewhere specific, or what would I reference? dataappcom.bigeyes0x0.trickstermod-1.apk?
After making all these changes, I'd simply recompile and push the Settings.apk back without signing, correct? Have I missed any steps?
General :: Changing SD Card With Apps On It?
Jul 13, 2012I bought my wife a 16gb SD Card for her Ray and I would like to transfer the content of the current 8GB card to it. However, I did installed some apps on the SD as the Ray's internal storage is so limited. What should I do to be sure that all the apps will run correctly after the transfer? Should I bring all the apps back to the internal storage, then make the transfer then put them back on the new SD ?

Nov 10, 2013I flashed my nexus 4 today, wiped everything and then wanted to install cm from my sd card. But when tried it said: SD card cannot be mounted. When I try to adb sideload my computer tells me that there is no device found. I tried it with both CWM and TWRP and nothing worked.

So, ctrl+x from gs3 ext memory card to ctrl+p onto nexus 5 internal storage. Wiped nexus 5 and now can't be found anywhere.
These recordings are extremely important (I know I lost them, I dont know what I was thinking)...
General :: Nexus One - SD Card Slow To Mount At Boot
Oct 29, 2011When I boot up my Nexus One, it takes <Sandlot>FOR-EVV-ERRR</Sandlot> to mount my SD card. I've got most of my apps on that card, so it's super annoying!
Like I've said, I've got a bunch of apps (40?) loaded on to this card, a few documents, 4 CDs... random stuff. I haven't formatted the card in a looong time... nor have I wiped the phone in a loooong time. I am a crackflasher - I flash a new ROM every day, but I VERY RARELY have issues, so that's why I haven't wiped in so long. I would be happy to just mount the SD manually through the terminal when I need it to.
The phone is a Nexus One. I'm running a CM7.1(or whatever it is) based ROM and kernel. The SD card is the 16gig one that came with the phone.
What's the terminal command to mount the SD card to the phone? So the ROM can access it?

Today my phone rang and the ring tone was a Bob Segar song. I had not set the song as a ring tone so I was a bit perplexed by it.
Later, my Wife called me and the ring tone was "Don't Stop Me Now" by Queen which is also not a song that I had set as a ring tone.
Yesterday I was receiving voice mails despite the phone never ringing.

Jul 27, 2010After changing my SD card with a larger one, my music album pictures on HTC music player/widget does not show anymore. I copied everything from my old SD card to the new one. Also, the new SD card have a different name from the old one. Old is labeled as 'Removable Disk' while new one is 'Kingston'. Also, album thumbs folder becomes empty (before it contains files from old album thumbs folder).

I have the same issue except that my contact card has automatically synced to my facebook and I would prefer to change to a different picture that is not my facebook profile picture. There's no option to do so under people->my contact card and if I go to a picture in my albums it only lets me set the photo for a contact that is not me.
