Samsung EPIC 4G :: Why Do Pictures Display In Camera Play
Sep 7, 2010When in the camera and you hit the play button to review pictures, all pictures on the phone come up instead of just the ones i've taken with my camera. Is there a setting to change for this? Do i need to move my photos to a specific folder to avoid this? Right now i have all my pictures in the "media" folder. The camera pictures are in the DCIM folder. So how can this be changed?

Apr 9, 2014I often view my movies and animes on my Nexus 5.. But sometimes , when I try to play those videos on my ipod 4g or HTC desire C .. The wont play smoothly.. I do know it has something to do with hardware limitations on low end devices.. but I think its pretty unfair for these devices to not play atleast an SD 480p stream smoothly! I have seen this feature in the MX player called "Enable Hardware acceleration.."
I don't know what it does , but selecting that option on my HTC desire C makes the videos a bit smoother but still the 480p videos wont play properly. I tried reducing/increasing bitrates and codecs too (mostly H.264/XviD). But still no improvement.I have my phone rooted too.So is there any way to make 480p videos work on desire C and similar devices? I would be really interested to work on it like a project which may target an app or some tweaks with the hardware itself?

Jul 7, 2012Epic 4G Touch stock rooted Android 2.3.6. Since the 3.7.13 update, the Google Play Store is displaying landscape app preview pics in portrait style even when I have my phone in landscape. In other words, they don't fill the screen like they should, but are displayed sideways as if I was still in portrait mode. I've been noticing this for a while now, but figured it had to do with how the dev uploaded the pic, but I confirmed today that it happens with all apps that have landscape preview pics (Angry Birds is a good example), so I believe this issue started with the latest update.

May 15, 2010I am a bit of a novice but have managed to work a lot of things out about my HTC desire through this website but I am struggling with playing online TV and videos as well as downloading films onto my phone. Firstly I am a fan of channel 4 on demand and I tried to watch something a box comes up which says- 'shockwave flash- there is not enough free memory to display this flash content' -
Does this simply mean that I need a bigger micro SD card as I have only got the 4GB one enclosed with the phone, if it is as simple as that then could get an 8 or 16 GB microcard? Next problem is watching online films (for example from blinkbox.com), I can watch these on my laptop but my phone wont play them- do I have to install a special player to get these to work?
And finally I am right in thinking there is not an app like the iphone in which you can click and buy movies on the HTC desire? If not how do I download movies onto my phone or maybe download them on my laptop and transfer them to my phone?

When I search in non-mobile you tube for videos, I can find them but I can't play them. What happens in froyo when we get flash support? Do we get unlimited access to you tube videos or no luck. Jun 1, 2010I was directed here by the Google Android Devs Group. I'm still not sure if this is the place I need to be. I've been on forum after forum and asked the same question but no one seems to know the answer or will tell me the REAL correct place to find it. I have a Samsung Moment with Android 2.1. I can not get videos that DID play on Android 1.5 to play on 2.1 now with very few exceptions. I'm not just talking about different videos with the same format, I'm talking about some of the exact same videos that did play in 1.5 will no longer play in 2.1. These are almost all AVI files. If Android doesn't support AVI natively with it's own stock media player then why or how was I able to play these videos flawlessly on 1.5? The way I always played the videos was viewing my SD card, tapping the thumbnail of the video I wanted, and it would automatically open up in the phones media player right away. Now the phone locks up and then eventually gives an error message.
