Ok, so I have a problem, I have only one cable and two computers, one with the wifi antena and no option for cable and other with cable and no antena, so I guess my question here is can I share my cable computers internet to my android phone and then can my android phone tether it through wifi, so my laptop can connect to it? View 1 Replies View RelatedI am having some difficulties with syncing my Shaw Cable email account while not on WiFi. If I'm on a WiFi network, I have no difficulties with email. However,I noticed that when I'm away from my WiFi network at home, I cannot sync with this email account. I get a "Network error" alert.
With Hotmail, I have no difficulties at all. My Hotmail account is able to sync where ever I go whether on or off WiFi. I'm currently with Bell (Canada). I used to own a Nokia N97 and had no difficulties with Shaw on that phone.
When I insert the USB cable, I can go to notifications and mount the SD card so I can transfer files to and from my PC. This all works fine. Lets say I am all done with the connection to my PC so I want to disconnect the USB cable. I go to notifications and select "turn off USB storage". I get the message that I need to "unmount the host". So I go to settings and unmount the SD card, go back to notifications and turn off usb storage. Done, all this works fine too. Later in the day, I want to browse some videos and picture that are located on my SD card. I get the message "SD card unmounted". No problem, I will just go to setting and mount it? However, not mount option exists in settings. The only way I can mount the SD card after it has been unmounted, is to insert a USB cable, go to notifications and select mount, or to power off my phone and then power it back on.

Now, the first time I try to add some new tunes to my "new" phone, I can't manipulate any data on its SD card via WiFi. I can write, delete, move, rename, anything I want to/from the card from within the phone itself. Just not over WiFi.
I thought it was perhaps the app I was using so I tried another but same thing. The best error code I get is the highly informative "Operation Failed"-Period.
Is there some setting somewhere that holds sway over the ability to write to the SD card?
I used System tuner to tweak a little on my Acer liquid gallant solo E350. I reduced the CPU frequency when the screen is off and changed the governor to ondemand with a minimal frequency of 500 [MHz]. nothing too special here.
A few days ago i did a one click backup with system tuner. Today i restored it because I saw my CPU frequency constancly being 1000[MHz]. After the backup on program after the other start to fail. Unfortunately i turned my phone off and now it won't boot anymore. I got suck at the green glowing acer screen. My idea is now to make an update file which replaces the system files.

I tried looking for one with a galaxy tab male connector so that I could use it on my tab 2, but unfortunately I couldn't find one. So I decided to buy the otg cable AND a data cable of the tab. I made it good that a socket("10.0.2.2", 6543) on the android emulator sending data stream to a ServerSocket(6543) On a PC , before which I had run "adb forward tcp:12345 tcp:6543".
But when I setup a socket("10.0.2.2", 6543) on a REAL Android-Mobile and a serverSocket on the PC, the socket on the Android-Mobile can NOT send data to the ServerSocket on the PC.
Why can't I use the socket on the Android-Mobile to send data to the ServerSocket(6543) on the PC. What is the different between the REAL device and the android emulator. Or , is the IP setted to be wrong? How can I get the IP of the PC VIA USB ADB?
On the other hand, I make it out to send data from a PC to a REAL Android-Mobile as socket and serverSocket.
Is there an AM Tuner app for the droid X (like FM Tuner)?
