View 2 RepliesI used System tuner to tweak a little on my Acer liquid gallant solo E350. I reduced the CPU frequency when the screen is off and changed the governor to ondemand with a minimal frequency of 500 [MHz]. nothing too special here.
A few days ago i did a one click backup with system tuner. Today i restored it because I saw my CPU frequency constancly being 1000[MHz]. After the backup on program after the other start to fail. Unfortunately i turned my phone off and now it won't boot anymore. I got suck at the green glowing acer screen. My idea is now to make an update file which replaces the system files.

View 1 Replies View RelatedBought a used android phone (MyTouch 3g) and was surprised it doesn't have a FM tuner. Do the new android phones have FM tuners? It is required to listen to the TV's at the gym and my old Nokia dumb phone had one so I just assumed they all did.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have the droid X and I notice that there is an FM receiver built in, which is great. Is there a way to turn the Droid X into an FM Transmitter? That would be great if I could listen to pandora radio in my car which does not have an aux jack. Any apps for that?
View 6 Replies View RelatedI have published gstrings - a chromatic tuner app (for tuning your guitar/violin/..) on the market yesterday. www.cohortor.org/gstrings) People who ran it seemed to like it a lot (5*), but 2 out of the 20 reviewers gave it a single *, stating simply 'it does NOT work on android 1.5'. The truth is, it NEEDS 1.5 (cupcake functionality) to run. The problem is I have no way of getting back with those people to ask them 'HOW' did it not work. Naturally, it seems to work just fine on my device. I would like to ask for a bit of help from the community - you - to help me figure out the deal with the two nay-sayers. So if you own a guitar, violin, or any other stringed instrument that you tune occasionally and would like to have a tuner on your android phone, please try gStrings and let me know (gstrings@cohortor.org) if you experienced problems (what kind?) running it.

Now when I go to manage my applications to uninstall, it's no longer on the list! How do I get it off my phone?

I released my first Android application yesterday: G-Tuner. It's a chromatic tuner that listens through the microphone and works out what note you're playing. There are some screenshots here: G-Tuner for Android When I started working on it there were no other chromatic tuners available (in the UK anyway). A few other people have beaten me to it, but I hope there's room for a few of them. Within an hour of publishing my application I had my first rating: 1 star. Things have picked up a little since then, but I'm wondering what caused the initial bad reviews. Maybe they had a different model phone, and the application just doesn't work. I've only been able to test it on my own G1. Although a friend of a friend has tried it out on a Hero, and it seems to work. If this type of application is of interest to you, and you have some feedback I'd be most grateful. Does it work for you? Does it look bad? Is it obvious how it works? Any feedback or suggestions would be most welcome.

View 2 Replies View RelatedThe FM Radio app on my Evo died for some reason and now turns on to station 00.0 and I can't do anything. Does anyone know how I can fix this app or know of another app that will allow me to tune in over the radio stations? All of the "radio" apps I keep seeing and hearing about are for webcasts of the radio programming, and I want to actually use the FM tuner.

View 6 Replies View RelatedHas anyone been able to stream XM Radio directly from their PC to their phone using XM Tuner or SiriusXMStreamer? I have gotten it to work with Orb, but would prefer to take Orb out of the equation and stream directly from the XM program or use TVersity. Orb streams in a format that uses the camera player, which I do not like. I would prefer an mp3 stream from TVersity, but have not seen where anyone has gotten it to work.
View 1 Replies View RelatedJust got the phone today and i cant get enough of it. I am trying to check all the new stuff and am kinda stuck on the tuner. So my understanding is that you have to insert a headphone jack to listen to it and it won't work with the bluetooth headphones. If that's the case then it sucks as I really wanted to use my BT headphones.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI am looking for some help. I'm new to android, and java development. I've got a pretty good handle on the basics, but I'm having an issue figuring out some more advanced operations. I'm working a guitar tuner, which is a stepping stone to a chromatic piano tuner. There is no public API for frequency analysis, so I'm thinking I need to write into code a Fast Fourier Transform, and I'll assume I need to import a different package for this. Once I display the frequency of any given note, I need it to reference it's offset to a pre-measured Mhz. There is alot to write, I'm aware, but my first step is to try to figure out HOW to get the frequency, and display it in the UI.

Background: I have been trying to root my phone from information found in a youtube video. All went well and the little ninja bloke with the sniper rifle was in the app list. Tried installing busybox and was told that the phone was not rooted..
I think I ran the root application again and at some point I started getting this error message when in recovery. I have since run the one click root method to unroot the phone and the little nija dude is no longer there. Since I rooted the phone it will no longer connect to my wireless network, it finds the network and attempts to obtain an ip address. After a few min it times out and tries again. When I load the phone recovery the error message is still present.
I am an Android app developer, and I have purchased a Nexus One device which I use to continuously test my developed Android applications.
Background: ----------------- One of the applications I developed uses a native shared library (e.g. myNativeLib.so). Only my application loads & uses this native library. I had developed this app before Android NDK came out. I pack my native library into my apk's 'assets' folder, and during my application start- up, I extract this native library from my package's assets folder to my app private directory (i.e. <assets> -> /data/data/<myappprocess>/ myNativeLib.so). Then I use System.load() API in my application to dynamically load this native library.
Problem: ------------ This application was developed during Android 1.5 (i.e. cupcake) days {I didn't have the Nexus One then}. The above procedure has been working without any problems right from Android 1.5 to Android 2.2 (i.e. Froyo). I have also tested the same on my Nexus One for Android 2.1 (i.e. Eclair) and Android 2.2.
The problem began the moment I recently upgraded my Nexus One to Android 2.2.1 via the FRG83 system update. Now, whenever I try to load my native library, I get the following error:
D/dalvikvm( 3653): Trying to load lib /data/data/<myappprocess>/ <mynativelib>.so <some address> I/dalvikvm( 3653): Unable to dlopen(/data/data/<myappprocess>/ <mynativelib>.so): Cannot load library: link_image[1995]: failed to link <mynativelib>.so
What I have Tried: -------------------------- 1. I tried my application using Android 2.2 SDK (emulator)...it works, no issues. 2. I checked out the latest froyo & android2.2.1 source code from Android open-source, built & tested my application + native lib using the latest froyo source...it built & ran, no issues. This should've taken care of any changes in the native code dependencies between Android 2.2 & Android 2.2.1 3. I even checked Android 2.2.1 source code for dalvik (java System & Runtime classes) + bionic (linker & dlopen sources) between Android 2.2 & Android 2.2.1 (using source checked out from Android open-source), but couldn't find anything consequential 4. I am unable to return my Nexus One to Android 2.2.

Just bought a Ramos W31 tablet. I download some few games and it's popping that I don't have enough space in my system memory or it is called external memory.
