View 4 Repliesi have a problem after Google+ update. When i'm trying to set a contact profile picture i have an error "Unable to save photo edits". And then it seems that app loops, if i push back and choose other photo, i see previous one and same error. If i uninstall Google+ Updates it works fine, but after update it brakes again
Problem with: Nexus 5, Nexus 7 LTE, Motorola Moto G GPE
I am trying to edit a contact photo from the address book, when I select a photo from my album I always get the message "unable to save photo edits", and the app just hangs until i close it.
The contact photos i have are already linked to my contacts on my GMail account, and sync across, but want to edit with higher quality images.
Currently theming and I wanted to change the colors of certain title bars, but cannot find the XML files associated with the color codes. I have looked in the droid developer website and XDA and haven't found the needed info. I also attached images so persons who may know can answer; some stuff I just wanted confirmed. I would like to change some settings title bar colors and some texts. The arrows point out what I need to change, and the fonts of what I want to change are underlined. This is for the droid charge, just so people know.
I have seen people put images in the title bar in settings so how to do this or has a link to anything about what i mentioned.
Now it says "Please insert an SD card" when ever I try to take pictures or even look at old pictures. My SD card is not full, and works fine when I plug it in to my computer. I have the same problem when I use other peoples SD cards, and theirs work fine in their phones.I can't even take pictures and save them to my phone's memory...
View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen I try to view or save e-mail attachments, I get the message "Sorry, an error occurred. Please try again. If the problem persists, there may be a problem with the file you are trying to access." I even tried to view or save e-mail attachments that I could access before and save and they are not even working.

I switched from the Hero to the Epic and have a question. With the Hero, if someone sent me an MMS pic, all I had to do was long click to save it. A save option appeared. The Epic doesn't seem to allow me to save any MMS pics sent to me. Am I missing something?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm writing an application where images are read from the filesystem based on a certain naming scheme and file structure. To add images to the application, I need to be able to add to this file structure. I need to be able to select from existing images and copy the image to its new location.
I've set up a chooser, as follows: i = new Intent(Intent.ACTION_GET_CONTENT, null); i.setType("image/jpg"); startActivityForResult(Intent.createChooser(i, "Select photo"), PICK_FROM_FILE);
When I get the result using this line: URI uri = URI.create(outputIntent.getData().toString());
the value of uri looks like this: content://media/external/images/media/2
How do I transform this into a jpg file?
In my android application,I want to save some photos uploaded from a server on my database and then reuse them later. I think I should save them in a binary format and save their links into the database. Is it the better solution? Can you give some code or an example? now I only uploaded the image and display it directly using an ImageView but I want to make it available in my application when the user is offline.

View 9 Replies View RelatedCamera app or organizer app that actually moves pictures instead of just displays them differently via a viewing app?
For example it would be great to have photos automatically go into pre-set albums or quickly and easily reorganize them afterwards etc. I know I can manually move them via file managers but looking for a dedicated app with different options/filters etc.
From what I am reading I take it you can not save single text message?
If thats so then why when I try and delete one it has an option to delete locked message?
What is a locked message?
On my old phone I could save/lock a message and it would not delete unless I unlocked it.
I am so use to my Touch Pro 1 & 2 as far as saving everything to my SD card. Why am I not able to save applications and other documents to my sd card on android? My phone is extremely slow now, force closes often and the battery dies every 15 min. Is there any way to save apps to the sd card?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI discovered it several days after the upgrade to 4.3. When I tried to update a contact or add an entirely new one I was recieving an error that stated " Unfortunately Contacts has stopped working". I then tried to install a new contact via Google on my pc. Saved there no problem but would not sync the contact to the cell. I was able to search this and found the fix on the internet. I have Enhanced Mobile Care thru AT&T and they were unable to assist me in this issue but are aware of it after the software upgrade to 4.3.
View 1 Replies View Relatedthe Camera on my Eris will not take pictures due to an error saying it has insufficient file permissions to save pictures to my SD card. I have not unmounted my SD card since this has happened nor did I do it before. I have unmounted it before, but it was never a problem. The camera will not save pictures at all not matter what app is using the camera (Default Android Camera, Facebook, Photoshop Mobile).

View 3 Replies View RelatedI used to have an HTC Hero and have switched to Desire a few weeks ago.
On my Hero i had different sounds set up for my text messages and my e-mails. For some reason i just can't figure out how to do it on Desire and i really hope that you can have seperate sounds. Any help would be really appreciated. <THE MAIN ISSUE>
The second thing is that to save pictures off the internet i know that you longpress and get the options. However with google images not for some reason you can't do that
The alternatives i've found are to either do the usual longpress options on either the small thumbnail in google search, but that gives a rubbish little pic =/
OR
open the image and then follow link to original page it is from, then save from there.
But both of these are a bit of a faff. So although its not a big issue i'd like to know if there is a way to save from the individual pictures if you know what i mean.
Just another thing i've thought of... because i have an orange branded Desire my music player has a rubbish link to orange music world or something by the play, and skip track buttons...
any way to get rid?
I have just gotten my xperia x10 mini pro, and I`m unable to save the pictures I receive on my phone. When i view them, the only options I get is to use the picture as a wallpaper or contact picture. But I want to save the picture, so that I can transfer them to my computer. How can I do this?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have a Motorola Moto G 8GB which is running very low on storage (only about 800mb left). This phone does not take Micro SD cards but it comes with 50GB Google Drive storage. However i haven't used this at all. I am wondering whether i could download android apps and games to google drive, dropbox etc. Games like Real Racing take up about 1GB so i cannot download it to my phone. Can i download it to the Cloud? If this is not possible, is there any way that i could save the app data on the cloud. E.g. The Simpsons: Tapped Out is about 37mb to download off the play store, but then you must download the updates etc which are about another 250mb. is there anyway to save this 250mb on the cloud. Or any other games data.

If I pull up a photo I just took, I have the option of sending it to Facebook, as well as tagging it. I can't figure out how to do this on my Moment.
View 3 Replies View RelatedHere are two pics, one from my canon dslr and one from the HTC evo. Both were reduced by Photo bucket because of a file size restriction. Not bad for a cell phone camera, imo. Sorry, but I didn't have time to do some other examples, Canon T1I, 18-55mm lens, set to 8MP, full auto On the left HTC Evo 4g, 8MP, full auto On the right.

This is the message I get when I try to take pictures. I have only taken 9 shots so far. There was no problem until yesterday when i tried to take the tenth. Did I do something to cause this? I am not that tech smart
I have an old mate who has just got his first mobile phone, it is a Motorola Lazr on "3" PAYG
he has taken a portrait photo, with the phone, of a person on his contact list, he would like to put this photo onto the blank icon next to there phone number !
so we "set photo to", there is two choices, we select contact list, browse to the relevant position in his contact list and every time it says "read only, this cannot be used" ?
I want to install an APP from Google Play which takes HDR photo coolly. I'm aware that there are many APPs in the market but I don't really know whech one is the best for taking photo and capturing video in HDR mode.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI just transferred a bunch of pictures (over 2000) from my ipod to my mytouch 4g slide. I had them all in neat little albums on the ipod and i would like to do the same on my phone. Problem is i cant figure out how, other than putting the files into separate folders on my sd card, which i don't like because i like to have a general folder of all of them together with separate albums for specific things, and sometimes a picture would go into more than one album. Is there an app or a way to do this on my phone, I don't mind if the app creates copies of my pictures as long as the original files are left untouched. And is there a way to organize my pictures by name rather than date? Because when I transferred them it don't keep date it was added but rather the date i copied it, and when organized by name its correct because of the numbers in the file name.
