I thought (for some reason) that putting ClockWork Mod on would be a good idea, if I wanted to flash something like Ubuntu Touch, or CyanogenMod.Unfortunately, I hadn't reallised that the version of Clockwork Mod was not appropriate for this device, and booted to recovery.Needless to say, it didn't even make it that far... It'll only go as far as the very first logo, and no further.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a BRONCHO brand crane-a710 tablet with Android ICS (OEM is not a global supplier). And, i have a Huawei K3765 3G USB modem which i use its phone feature with my pc. I want to use the voice call function of this USB dongle with my Android tablet but unfortunately can't. When i make a call to the modems phone while it is attached to tablet, i have the dialing tone on my cellular. But tablet doesn't seem to detect the call and it has no response. Also my tablet has no usable phone features (Phone, SMS and contacts functions are not presented). Now that's the question: Can i install phone featurs to my tablet (and where can i get the necessary files) or is there any phone mode Android ICS ROMs for my BRONCHO crane-a710 tablet???

I updated the YouTube app from Google Play Store a few days ago. After it was updated, I tried to open it, but a message popped up saying that I needed to install Google Play Services and linked me to the app's Play Store page. Google Play Services downloads fine, but during the installation process, an error message pops up, saying:
"Incompatible with other applications(s) using the same shared user ID."

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a Nexus 7 tablet and every few days I notice a few new apps on the device. I'm not sure if they're full apps or just simply icons to download apps or get more information. I have tried to avoid using them. I know previously I had a couple apps that were sending notifications to the notification system that I considered to be spam. After some research I found out how you can find out which apps are doing it and disable notifications from those apps so that took care of that.

I'm having an issue with my tablet, an Onda VI40 Ultimate. It was left off for a day or two, and when I plugged it in yesterday I got the battery screen, but it was in orange and showing that it needed to be charged. I figured I'd leave it alone for a few hours, then come back to it.
I left it plugged in for four hours, but when I came back to it the tablet is just giving the same message. I took out the charger, plugged it in again and got the same screen. I plugged it into my desktop pc via usb cable, and it just gives the same screen over and over. I got another charger, one exactly like it, and plugged it in. Same screen again. I pressed the reset button, same screen. I tried holding down the power button and volume up button, but no deal. I have the latest CM9 build installed on it, with ICS 4.0.4.
I have included below a terribly blurry photograph of what I'm seeing when I try to turn it on, or do anything with it. The tablet just never seems to charge no matter what I do, nor will it boot in any way.
Thinking about getting the moms a tablet for Christmas. Loving the reviews of the Asus Transformer but my original plan was getting her a 4G device so that she can use it even when wifi isn't available. Just wanted thoughts and opinions from those who have had experiences on either end and any recommendations.

Does Android 4.1 allow a device to serve as a Hands-Free Profile (HFP) device? Similar to the way many newer cars come with integrated Bluetooth/HFP, I would like to use my tablet (Nexus 7) as a front-end for my phone. When an incoming call comes in, the phone should relay the call over Bluetooth to the tablet; it should also allow the tablet to make outgoing calls via Bluetooth over the phone's network.
I am not interested in solutions such as GrooveIP, Talkatone, and SIPDroid. I am specifically looking for Bluetooth HFP.I wouldn't mind looking into developing such a product - but I first wanted to know if the HSP 1.6 host API was available in Android 4.1. I've seen resources stating it was available in ICS 4.0, but I believe this is to allow Android devices to connect to third-party HSP devices - I'm looking to do the opposite (i.e. have the Android device serve as the HSP host).
I have a no name i7 tablet. M799ca 2.3.3 rooted (superoneclick). I've been trying to put clockworkmod recovery on it with no success due to noT knowing the exact model of my tablet. I need to know how to put some kind of recovery on this so I can flash a new kernel on it. The one I have won't let me over clock the processor.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI have an Ematic tablet, which I got around Halloween. Basically, it's worked fine since then. Though, for the last week, it hasn't charged or turned on. There's no damage to the AC adaptor, and I've never had problems with it charging before. Now, it only "charges" (even though it technically isn't) in certain places.

I was getting this cheapo tablet ready to sell and wanted to reset it to factory settings but there was not an option to do that in its settings so I found "format internal" and without even thinking selected that. Well needles to say I can no longer start it up. This tablet has no model number on it, not even in the instructions.
