When using the stock message app for texting, how do you clear or update the words that you have "saved".I accidently hit "saved" for het so everytime i try to type "her" it comes up Het.I hope i am making sense.Any help on how to reset all of the saved words or update them would be appreciated.

For example, I accidentally typed and added the word 'ti' to the dictionary whilst trying to actually type in 'to'. Now everytime I go to write 'to', it assumes that I want 'ti'. Is there any way of editing the saved words so that I can delete these types of words?

View 9 Replies View RelatedI've seen a few posts about this, but i wanted to ask again and see if anything new has come up.I'm happy with my USER dictionary, because i check it every couple days to make sure there's no crazy stuff in there that will pop up while typing.However, i would really like to be able to edit the dictionary that comes on the Hero. The biggest gripe i have is that EVERY time i type "the" it replaces it with "Tue"Wouldn't the dictionary be a file on the phone? Seems like you should be able to edit it after rooting, no?
View 10 Replies View RelatedJust wonderinf If this happens to other people as well. It only happens when the spellcheck/prediction/autocorrection is on, so I'm sure that is the culprit. It doesn't happen every time, but it Is frequent. I'll try a few words here and see what happens... if in inside is In If institute indirect is Inside If. If my count is right, It has happened 7 of 18 times in this post. Know Issue? Discussed before? Bugging others? Make that 8 of 19.

Now that the phone is rooted, I plan on really searching around, but before I do, maybe someone already has the answer.
Is there a sqllite database file somewhere in the system that contains the list of words that we can just easily add to?
When you're typing and want to use the word you typed instead of the currently selected suggested word, how do you get rid of the suggested word list? (In particular I'm thinking of the Gmail app in landscape mode.)

Can I clear my Hero's dictionary of all words that I added? People text using my phone sometimes and they abbreviate things and I like to just type full words but my phone is constantly changing things I type into stupid abbreviations unless I get the spelling 100% perfect which means I have to stop and check every word when I am trying to text fast. I can't seem to find where I would do this in my settings.

I accidentally put in the wrong user name one day and now that user name is saved in there and I have to retype my actual user name to log in. I start saving them to phone instead of Google when giving the option, thinking i could just sync whenever i upgraded ROMS. I was wrong i lost some contacts, restoring older ROMS. So for future references I will save to google, I just want to know if the current contacts now can be saved to Google grouped or i have to go in and do them individually.

So I flashed a stock them over it then a rosie from fresh1.1 to get the launcher back. got eveything I want except the lockscreen fresh came with. I found 2. One on xda but the link is broken. The 2nd from the geekforme site but it puts the taskbar back to the fresh one. Any one know where i can get one that doesn't do that?

But my internal memory has been steadily going down. I have cleared out browser cache, cookies, form data and any thing I could shut off or eliminate. I still only have 17 mb. Of memory left. View 3 Replies View RelatedI recently had my DI replaced due to a tech issue, but before I switched over I backed up everything using "My Backup Pro".
When it backed up my contacts, it backed up EVERYONE - including 550+ people I follow in Twitter. I did not have these as visible in my People (phonebook) list, just in Twitter. When I synced with my new DI, My Backup Pro installed every contact to my People list, as the app must have thought it was all part of my phonebook. I tried to make the list invisible like I had it on my original phone, but that did not work, so I deleted each Twitter contact manually from my People list. They no longer show in my People list (though are available to be made visible from Twitter).
This did not solve the problem. Any app that accesses my contact list (even Search People) displays the FULL list which includes my Twitter contacts. There is no long-press or menu options available to hide them.
I am willing to clear my contacts and upload the list again, as they are all backed up to my Google account, but I am afraid it would sync with the server and delete what is saved there.
Any advice on how to clear my contact list of my Twitter followers, or start over with my Google-saved contacts?
I just switched my contacts from Outlook to Gmail. No problem in doing that. I left the outlook contacts on the phone (just in case), but switched the View item in people to only show the gmail contacts. Whenever I make or receive a call now, the caller ID lookup always tells me I'm calling or receiving a call from one particular user, who is not the caller/callee. Clearly I need to clear a lookup cache, but which one? There are the following caches/data that might need to be cleared: Contacts Storage, Gmail Storage, People.
