View 2 RepliesI installed a Rom for my Thunderbird i5 LTE yesterday from now, the rom works fine because its is meant to be for my device, i noticed i cant slide to unlock because my bottom half of the screen has inverted the y coordinates as the app MobileUncle Tools tells me that and so i can see as i try to use it
Where i can get the Stock ROM for this Device? (White Version?)
i have a requirement where i need to run multiple applications simultaneously sharing the same screen space at one time. For Ex. one part of the screen might be displaying a youtube video, while to right of it, the user might be chatting with his friend, and below some application download progress...
In Short, different applications sharing same screen.I guess this has already been done as i when i google for droid tablets, i can see images that show multiple apps running simultaneously, displayed side-by-side to each other. how it can be done and if i can simulate it on ADT and AVD?
Wanna to split a screen for my app with two LinearLayouts. What parameters should I use to make exact splitting in two equal parts - first LinearLayout on the top and the second one is just under it.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to put 2 listviews into my layout. The problem is that I don't know the size of each listview in advance. The first listview could have a few items (0, 1, 2 up to roughly 10) and the second listview could have many items (up to 100).
I tried to set the weight of both listviews at 1 but it did not work:
=> If the first listview has only 1 item and the second one 99, you don't see the first item of listview #1 => it's shrinks so much (relative to listview #2) that you don't see it.
So I'm thinking now to split the screen in 2 equals parts (no matter what/no matter the size of each listview) and put the two listviews in each part. Of course it needs to work on any device ... so how do I capture the device screen size, divide it in two and force the listview size to fit in each half of the screen ?
Has anyone done that already ? Is there another option to show two listviews of different sizes on the same layout (should I use a scrollview in some way ? => when the user is reaching the end of the first listview, the second listview appears => is that possible ?)
I want my Android Screen (320*480) to be split into two 2 screens each of resolution 320*240 which should mimic the "split Screen" feature of MS Word .How can this be achieved.
View 1 Replies View RelatedIs there an app that I can use to share a number of apps I installed on a webpage including QR-codes, GPlay-links, short descriptions etc.? The apps I know of mostly share text only and/or links but none I found allow me to generate a webpage (or use a site for this) which has all the info in a neat, organized way so that my friends can read the descriptions and decide which apps to download from there.App Brain's API has an app widget that would be somewhat fitting but
1) there is no app to automatically create those based on a list of apps on your phone and
2) it requires people to use App Brain, which some people don't like.Basically, I'd like to have it created automatically and look like the ones used by Android Police (but with links to Play-Store only and no need for ratings)
I've had to send my phone back twice in the past month, initial issue was a weak vibrate motor and a difficult to press power button. Phone came back with a replaced mainboard but had to send the phone back right away as it wouldn't go into landscape mode (I determined it was a defective accelerometer). If I have to send it back a third time, I'm going to be absolutely livid.
I noticed (for the first time yesterday), that if the phone has <15% battery left and I use the pull down menu, the red LED with give a very quick flash that is not like the standard red LED flash when the battery is low. It will do this if you push on the top bar to activate the drop down menu and also if you completely swipe to bring the drop down menu down. However, doing any other actions such as pressing the captive buttons or scrolling will not cause the LED to flash briefly.
I don't mean folders on the home screen, look at the attached imaged if you don't understand. I want to know if it's possible to organize those instead of having to go through multiple pages.
View 5 Replies View RelatedWhy doesn't the Play Store download multiple apps at once? The Amazon AppStore has no issue downloading multiple apps at once.
I read on an xda post that I should have no problem after ICS downloading multiple apps at the same time, but I have found that untrue. I'm talking about multiple devices. OG Atrix, One X, S2, S3, S4, Note 2, Nexus 7. Using stock software, CM or other ROMs; Google Play will only download one app at a time which makes changing to a new phone incredibly time consuming.
Was that xda post correct or can no one download multiple apps at a time from the Play Store?
Yesterday Instant upload album on my N4 got split into 100+ new albums and now all the photos taken on the same day are in a separate album with the date as the album name. This makes viewing photos on the phone useless since I now need to go through 100+ albums to find a photo.
On the G+ photo page everything looks good (ie no 100+ albums) but once I go to PicasaWeb the same problem is there as on my phone (Instant upload album got split up into 100+ albums)
Topic moved to App to join/unsplit/merge/combine SMSes/texts
View 2 Replies View Relatedhow to split the status bar and the soft keys on a crappy rebranded tablet? It runs 4.1 but the notifications, volume buttons and soft keys overlap each other making it look an eye sore. I have taken a look in the framework-res.apk and systemui.apk but can not find anything. What I want to do is split the two a bit like the nexus 7, so that the status bar is at the top and the soft buttons are at the bottom.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI just have purchased a Nexus 7. I went to the google play website and I used to be able to see all my devices individually and see what apps were installed on each device and all the apps in my library. It made it easy to add apps to a new device. Now I just see all the apps installed but not broken down by device, so I have to click on each individual app to see on which device they are installed. It is a more convoluted process, and I would like to see on the website at a glance which apps are installed on each device I own. Did something change or something I am missing? I also can't log in do the device manager with Chrome but I can with Safari. Mac OS X10.8, Android 4.1
View 5 Replies View RelatedAny way to automatically sync Play Store applications across multiple devices. In other words, I have a Nexus 7, TPad, LG Connect (work phone) and then I also switch between a GNex and Rezound (personal phone).
Is there anyway that if I download an app from one device that the app will also automatically be pushed/downloaded on the other devices?
It is a real pain to have to remember to go to each other device and download the app, and even worse when I switch between handsets that may not have been used for several week.
I am looking for a launcher/app that allows multiple horizontal scrollable docks. Does something like this exist? Or even a dock that can be placed in the middle of the home screen rather than the top or bottom. I guess I just assumed something like this existed.
You could have a 5x1 " games" row that would allow you to scroll through all your games. I would imaging it could hold approximately 7 apps total. And a "social" row that you could scroll through to access all social apps.
Can you have Multiple Home screen Layouts? Like Like swapping themes but layouts. I designed a bunch of custom wallpapers with corresponding Custom widgets. I'd love a way to just swap between different ones with out having to re-set up all the widgets.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI just upgraded my S2 to 4.2 and like the new android lock screen. But to replace widget locker I would like to have an option to have multiple widgets on one lock screen page.
Any app that simply puts multiple widgets into one widget that can be added to the lock screen?
I have a generic Allwinner A13 7" tablet essentially identical to this one. The internal memory is set so that part of it is seen as internal, and part as a fake SD card mounted on /mnt/sdcard. Actual SD cards get mounted to /mnt/extsd.
I find this very annoying for a number of reasons, and would like all the internal memory to be seen as internal with no fake SD cards, and SD cards to be mounted to /mnt/sdcard. If this were one of those tablets capable of running Linux I'd run gparted and do the job from there, but it isn't.
Is there any way to merge the two internal memory partitions into just one?
I'm aware I can edit vold.fstab and invert the two mount points, and I'll keep it as a fallback solution, but I hate the idea of wasting a gig of useful internal space like that.
I use rooted 4.3 Samsung S4. Some apps like MX player can play video when the screen is off. I want to play games of other video apps when the screen is off. For example:
1. I use Android to watch some CNN and bloomberg TV (not radio) that I want to play in the background with the screen off
2. I am playing some games which require the apps to be opened and the screen on to get some special stuff.
I like to listen to live fire dept dispatch, and then be able to go to Google Maps, while the audio is still going, to look up addresses. Is there a way to do this? As soon as I leave the dispatch/web screen, the audio stops. How do I do this? I know there's got to be a way to have multiple apps going at the same time right.
View 1 Replies View RelatedMy Background. Currently I am a .NET Developer working mainly with databases. Taking an interest in Android development by creating my first app. To understand it all, I am just trying to create a data collection application.
For example, collecting user information. My main activity will show a list of users and a button to add a new user. So, I created a new activity for the add a new user form.
I am using eclipse, with the normal AVD (ARM (armeabi-v7a)). I can successfully take the user to the add new form, no real issues with that. However, when I run the app in the AVD, I see my main activity (or the actual app) and the add new user activity as an app.
Is there some way to define the main activity for the app?
I just received my new Zopo ZP300+ Android phone with Android 4.0. When I downloaded a flip clock app from the Apps Store at Google Play it arrived on my screen so small I can hardly see it. This did not happen on my previous Androind phone by LG. How do I get the clock to show at the correct size?

View 2 Replies View RelatedHad android phone for about three weeks. Samsung Galaxy S (T-Mobile UK) Loving it to bits, but as per usual there have to be "but's". so, BUT, i hate uninstallation procedure and how you cannot uninstall stuff without going through millions of annoying "are you sure", "done", "ok" buttons. It's a problem because, as should be expected, i jumped into app downloading pretty deep. So now i have boatloads of stuff needing uninstallation and the process put me to sleep yesterday, very literally. I haven't even gone fifth of the way to intended uninstallation target. Got some apps that supposedly do batch uninstall, but you still have to mash, "uninstall" and "done" buttons for every single uninstalled app, which kind of defeats "batch uninstallation" purpose. Any ideas on the app, where i can select, push "uninstall" and forget about the rest? I do understand the risks, btw, you dont have to tell me.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a question about the way the Android market handles purchased apps.I've seen in other posts where if you upgrade to a new phone, your purchased apps will follow you.But how about if you use more than one Android device? For instance, later this year I may get an Android tablet. Presumably the apps I purchased on my Droid will downloadable on the tablet. But will they remain downloadable on my Droid? And if I purchase an app on the tablet, will it also be downloadable on my Droid? It seems to me that if the apps are associated with your account, then you should be able to download them on multiple devices.I was just wondering if anyone has actually tried and confirmed this.
