New apps keep popping up on my screen. I didn't put them there and I'm not sure exactly how they got there. Something I downloaded I'm sure. How do I figure out which app is doing it and make it stop?

What is it with some apps, for example Messaging, chompSMS, Caldendar, that keeps restarting them without proper reason?Messaging and/or chompSMS restart by themselves all the time, even when I havent recieved a single SMS for hours. Calendar does this also, and I kill it with taskiller several times in a day. I have Galaxy with Cupcake and newest firmware (H8) from NPS.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI just noticed this a few minutes ago. On the bottom left corner of my evo slightly below the home button it seems my screen is slightly coming up. When i push on that corner I hear a noise. Its almost like I am hearing the screen pop in and out. I have only had this phone for two weeks. This is bull crap.

My question is that even though I have the advanced task killer on my phone the programs like corporate calendar keep opening up and other such ones. I can let my phone sit for an hour and have over 10 programs running. Is there a setting I am missing that can stop these things from popping up?

The question is does it try to access the 3G/2G when their are disabled while those free apps are running in the background? I selected one photo that I wanted to have as my wallpaper but for some reason throughout the day I also get all the other photos popping up on the screen. View 4 Replies View RelatedA few days ago the GPS notification icon started popping up at the top of my screen at random without me even running an app that requires GPS. I have tried to kill any app that potentially uses GPS with taskiller, disabling GPS all-together, and rebooting my phone to get it to go away. The only temporary solution I have found is to enter and then exit google maps. That works for a little while but then, bam, out of nowhere the little satellite icon appears again. I don't mind if it is just a little glitch and my GPS isn't actually being accessed, but if it is, that is a serious hit to my battery life. I haven't noticed a dramatic change in battery life since it started happening but I do seem to get less time out of the phone. Has anyone else had this problem and if so, is it a big deal and how do you fix it?

1. I use Android to watch some CNN and bloomberg TV (not radio) that I want to play in the background with the screen off
2. I am playing some games which require the apps to be opened and the screen on to get some special stuff.
How do I stop the text messages from popping up on the screen and scrolling across the top of the screen when they come in?

The problem is that several of my users are reporting that when they open the app it's automatically popping up the on-screen keyboard without them even touching the EditText. As far as I can tell, all of these users are using the HTC Hero. Is this a bug in 1.5? Is there anything I can do about it?

I'n currently having a problems with my HTC One SV.
My problem is when I start playing music, I notice that there's pop and crack once in awhile eventhough Beats is off/wifi off/air plan mode on... the pop and crack keep on appearing with other music players. I tried with different devices and I'm pretty sure my mp3s are just fine.
I just received my new Zopo ZP300+ Android phone with Android 4.0. When I downloaded a flip clock app from the Apps Store at Google Play it arrived on my screen so small I can hardly see it. This did not happen on my previous Androind phone by LG. How do I get the clock to show at the correct size?

View 2 Replies View RelatedA few days ago my Sony Xperia T (running Jelly Bean 4.2.1) started having a problem - when I select any app to open on my homescreen they are completely unresponsive, the touch registers on the screen but all of them refuse to open. I've tried pretty much everything I can think of to fix the problem, first I turned the device on and off for a punt, which didnt work. Then I went through all my apps to make sure there was nothing out of the ordinary on my device and as far I can tell there isnt. I next installed a task manager app to kill all processes, again this did nothing. I then installed a virus scanner to scan all the files on my phone but nothing was found. I then decided to clear all of the devices files by restoring it, this fixed the problem for about 10 minutes before the problem returned. I then re-installed Jelly Bean 4.2.1 on my device, which again fixed the problem only temporarily. when using the device to do anything else the touch screen is completely responsive, so I have no clue why all my apps just refuse to open.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI use latest Nova launcher (Premium) and CM11 (nightly). But the same happened with CM10 stable and nightlies.
When I install new app - shortcut doesn't appear on my homescreen. I remember long time ago (I think that was in ICS stock launcher) - shortcuts would appear. But not anymore.
Automatically add widgets checkbox is checked in the Play Store Settings.
I even reinstalled fully Nova. No success.
Are there any apps available which can preserve home screen layouts for a Galaxy S4 which uses the Atom launcher.
The reason why I ask is that I may need to do a clean wipe and I don't want to have to waste nearly half an hour or so recreating the folders which store the apps that I want to be on each home screen every time I do a clean wipe to install a new Version of echoeROM.

The stock battery usage graph screen doesn't show any apps, only core Android elements like Phone Idle, WiFi, Display, etc.

I am a teacher and want to use my Nexus 7 in the classroom (specifically things like drawing apps for diagrams etc) whist i am moving around the room and to give to students and whatnot.
When playing music with the stock Music Player application on my phone and turning the phone screen off or multitasking, the music is still able to play in the background. Is it possible to do the same with the stock YouTube app? I want to let the audio of the YouTube video I am watching to keep playing when I either exit out of the app or when I press the power button on my phone to turn off the screen to save battery. Although I can just set my phone screen to not go off when idle for a certain amount of time, but then again, that is battery consuming.

I've noticed since the 2.2 Update (from Telus) that whenever I'm typing a message/email/etc, when I push the space bar it frequently puts a . after every word. I don't think my thumb has grown any bigger since the update so I'm wondering if this is happening to anyone else.For example if I wanted to type " Hey how's it going?" it will often come up like "Hey. How's. It. Going?" and I then have to try and retype it properly.Is it possible that the "." button programming is overlapping into the right side of the space bar?

View 6 Replies View RelatedI have Advanced Task Killer Free and it always shows Voice Search and AT&T Navigator keep coming on after I kill those apps. Can I disable them from running? I don't believe I have any apps running that require for those 2 to be running. Excuse my naiveness. This is my first Android phone and I'm still learning. Also, I've had my phone charging for about 45 minutes and the charge only went up 2% since. I turned off wifi, syncing, and whatever else should be draining the battery. Any suggestions on what I could do to have a longer lasting battery?
