General :: Samsung Exhibit II 4G Won't Boot Up?
May 30, 2012I have a Samsung Exhibit II 4g phone. Yesterday I powered up the phone and it went to the start-up screen that displays the phone's logo: "Exhibit II 4g," and it froze on that screen. I tried to remove the battery to reset it. I looked at some online forums about "brick walls" and tried to remedy the problem with those. I think I tried to reset to the factory configuration. I tried using the Heimdall One Click, Odin, Z image, Winrar, etc,etc. I just followed the steps because I thought that reseting the phone to its factory default setting would correct whatever was causing the phone to freeze. I am a total novice with this stuff, what "flashing" or "rooting" mean.

Jul 14, 2012I have a AT&T Samsung Infuse 4g that's rooted. I tried to download a new theme on it but it messed it up. Now every time while it's booting up it goes the the AT&T screen vibrating then goes to black screen still vibrating. Is there a way to re-install new software onto it to stop this?

Dec 24, 2011I got the phone rooted successfully using the Zerush method. It's been working well for a few days now. I installed all kind of software on it and not a single problem.
Today, I came across a new software called Adfree from the Android Market. It installed fine. I went to shut off my phone and restart, and it stuck on the first screen of Samsung Exhibit 4G.reboot my phone again? I have tried hard reset holding the volume down button and power with no luck.
General :: Samsung Galaxy S2 In Boot Loop
Oct 6, 2013I have a bricked Samsung Galaxy S2 and have been doing some research on how to fix this. There is a lot of info online, but I don't understand most of it as it is too technical and I need having it translated into layman's terms!
Context:
- Galaxy S2 (GT-I9100)
- Unlocked
- Purchased from Kogan 2 years ago (no longer under warranty)
- Appears to be Polish stock based on the packaging and manual
- I am in Australia
Problem:
- Phone is stuck in boot loop, unable to get past the intro flash screen that says Samsung Galaxy S2 GT-I19100.
- It keeps resetting itself and going back to flash screen infinitely. I need to remove the battery in order for it to stop doing that.
- I'm unable to get into the mode that would allow me to do a factory reset, however I am able to get into download mode.
What I think I need to do, but need verifying:
- Download Odin onto my PC. (I think Odin is software that allows me to access the core of the phone via my PC, is this correct?)
- Download the correct version of the operating system. From what I can gather, there are different versions depending upon which network you are with. Because my phone is unlocked, I need to get an unlocked version but I'm not sure whether I should get one designed for Australia or for Poland (or whether it matters)?
- Connect PC and phone via USB cable
- Turn on Odin
- Somehow use Odin to reinstall O/S on my phone
Questions:
- Are the steps above correct or am I missing something?
- Does it matter which version of Odin I install or can I just do a google search for Odin downloads?
- Where do I find the file I need to reinstall the O/S?
- Where can I find instructions on how to use Odin once I have the correct file to install?

Jun 2, 2014i bought a white Samsung galaxy tab 4 7.0 8gb white from Canada and i decided to turn ART on so i did and the tab was stuck on the boot animation for over 30 minutes. So i went into recovery and deleted cache and data. It booted up fine and i was relieved. Before i did anything on it i turned on ART again and it boot looped again, stuck at the boot animation. This happens every time i turn ART on this tablet. No i am not rooted and i don't have any custom ROM, kernels, or recoveries on this tablet. try turning on ART on their galaxy tab 4 7.0 and see if ART works?

Sep 8, 2013I dropped my Samsung Galaxy Attain 4G from a height of about 3 feet onto a marble floor. The battery popped out, but there is no physical damage as far as I can see. The phone automatically went into a reboot loop, by which I mean it flashes the "samsung" logo again and again. It doesn't turn on or off. After removing the battery and sim card several times to no avail, I searched some of these forums and found the 3 key combination (volume/power/home) which can be used to get a factory reset. Now, I have gotten that factory reset screen where I can scroll using the volume key, but my phone stays on that screen for about 4 seconds before reverting back to flashing "samsung." This is where I stand as of now.

But when I tried to install a new ICS rom and rebooted, my phone showed the samsung logo followed by a screeching frequency noise, followed by a restart. This process continues forever. I really hope I didn't break my phone.. I can access the CWM btw.

Oct 4, 2012I try to understand android boot sequence on my JB (under CM10). I found some docs and there should be specific partitions (boot, recovery, system, cache, data).
My understanding of the boot sequence is now:
A) normal boot:
1) Power ON ->
2) bootloader ->
3) boot-partition where i flashed the kernel aka boot.img ->
4a) system-partition with the OS (libs, UI, etc) where i unpacked over CWM my customROM.zip ->
4b) data-partition, where i unpacked google-apps.zip and installed all the apps ->
4c) cache-partition with user data
B) recovery boot (adb reboot recovery):
1) Power ON ->
2) bootloader ->
3) recovery-partition with CWM where i may unpack all the .zip stuff to proper partitions, or restore from sdcard, etc.
Is this correct? I wonder, because i didn't installed CWM into recovery-partition. It cames from install of CM10 (fastboot -i 0xfce flash boot boot.img), so it must be in boot-partition and not in recovery?
So, next confusion: i looked up to /proc/mtd and i don't see neither boot nor recovery partition here:

General :: How To Interrupt Android Boot Sequence To Force It Boot To Linux Kernel Only
Sep 12, 2013I am trying to do some low level performance testing related to device processor cores through adb which I feel it is affected by Android background services and system stuff.
As I know that the Android boot sequence stages are as follow:
1.Execute Boot ROM code.
2.Execute the boot loader.
3.Load the Linux kernel.
4.Launch Zygote, which initializes the Dalvik VM.
5.System server which loads the Android system.
So my question is how can I interrupt this sequence to force it stop on stage 3 to load Linux kernel. This can implement my intermediary performance testings before loading again Android system.
Does Fastboot or Clockworkmod recovery can load my device to a kind of Linux kernel?

Mar 28, 2013Samsung Galaxy 7.0 plus (gt-p6210) will not boot. It hangs at the Samsung banner. The banner is still glowing but it goes nowhere.
I have tried everything.
a. Delete cache (dalvik and otherwise)
b. System wipe.
c. Removed add on sim and repeated above.

Jul 21, 2013I bought this phone whilst on a business trip In Shenzhen china.
It's was running 4.2.9 jb. 2gb ram 16gb rom 5" screen 1080p
I put 3d chain fire on it and now it's stuck in the boot animation.
I borrowed my friend phone, same as mine and loaded up mtk droid and it generated a backup of his phone with loads of files system folder, boot.img etc
It then packed it up into a zip file. From there I thought I could put the zip file on an sd card and boot into recovery and delete the data / cache and them select install from sd card.But the installation failed

Nov 23, 2012My Samsung Stratosphere turned itself off sometime and now is rebooting to the Samsung logo, and then turning back off, and rebooting (a couple times earlier it booted to the main android menu, but turned back off immediately afterwards) and when I plugged it into the charger it acts like it's charging and then turns off and acts like it's charging and over and over again, even when the battery indicates that it's at more than half full.
(No custom ROMs or anything, it's all standard btw). I took the battery out and everything and it still does the same thing when I put it back. I tried to do a factory reset, but the recovery mode screen always jumps away when I try to activate it (I press both Vol+ and Vol-, recovery mode screen comes up but goes instantly, then the phone goes into a boot loop again).
General :: Rooted Samsung S3 Stuck In Boot Animation Through Rom Toolbox Pro
Feb 20, 2014I rooted my samsung for the first time Friday (worked out great). I just installed Rom Toolbox Pro & was looking through the features (I should of backed up first thing!) & decided to install a custom boot animation (big mistake!). The boot animation worked fine but even though the phone boots up & actually works, the screen is stuck in the boot animation state & will not bring up the home screen.
I've tried everything (actually learned quite a bit) using CWM to install boot animation disable zips, clear all kinds of caches, & even clear data & factory reset (lost everything). Even used odin3 to install Jelly Bean (originally ice cream sandwich 4.0.4.) & still this f$%^ing boot animation will not clear off the screen.
The phone still works to where I can answer & if I flip it on the side I can use the voice app with the home key to see half the screen (scrolling is a pain) but if I click to the home screen the dam boot animation takes over the whole screen again.
The firmware updates & zip files don't work. Is there a full android system out there to restore it or some way easy to get my home screen back. I really don't want to turn it to a brick if possible.

General :: Android Samsung Galaxy Android GT-I5800 Cannot BOOT
Mar 20, 2014Recently some of my classmates locked my phone by trying to guess my pattern. This forced me to enter my sign into my googlemail account to unlock my phone; however, it was telling me that my username and password were wrong, even though I could log on on the computer into my googlemail account; I tried all the passwords ever set.
So I then decided to run a factory reset, so I wiped all the data, and then went to "reboot system now". It goes the the loading screen saying "GT-I5800 Samsung", but then goes back to my Android Recovery System. No matter how many times I click on "Reboot system now", it reverts back into a loop.
I have never tampered with the information on my phone, I have had this phone for 3-4 years at the moment and it was working fine, as it had never become locked before, so it is unlikely that I can return it.

Sep 6, 2010I got one of the new vibrants that won't boot into recovery. Only the batches before august allow you to getting into recovery by holding vol up and down. I confirmed with t mobile that this a true statement, so i need another way in but cant figures it out i tried adb but it wont work either.
