My samsung i5500 wont boot normally so I want to try booting it into recovery and resting it. I've tried power, center key and volume down. which I thought was the recovery combination but it just comes up with an icon saying downloading and does nothing. Any recovery combination or another way to fix.

A weird problem appeared today with the phone of a friend of mine.I 'm a bit worried whether this might be a HW issue. The key combination does not bring the recovery screen.

Now the device stuck in boot and will display cyanogenmod 7 blue circle around 3 -4 seconds over and over. I need to do a factory reset, but now it stuck in boot loop and it does not have a key combination to go into recovery mod.

I then broke out oden, and long story short I soft bricked it. I now actually got my phone to let me restore my backup that I did before I updated it, and it completed successfully. But it only boots into recovery mode. What I can do?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI used my galaxy ace (I had the low memory icon) when playstore has updated an application, then suddenly all my applications are set to "force stop" including Holo launcher, so I rebooted, but the I had teh cyanogenmod 7 icon repeat (bootloops) I cann't access to the recovery mode (I had RAMDUMP mode (ARM9 mode)) I can access to the "downloading" mode so I wanted to flash a stock rom (even three in fact) with odin multidownload 4.38 but nothing happens when Odin has restarted my phone, I had the little android image that works then a message like: "E: failed to mount storage (invalid argument)" and the phone started to reboot loop I've tried dozens of manipulations unsuccessfully kies does not see my phone I do not know what to do,
PS: I've tried all the manipulations removing the battery / SIM card and sd waited 5 minutes, I was able to put the phone in Emergency Mode DLOAD but it nothing happens the only real thing that still works is the "Downloading "mode , but I think my recovery mode was crushed and I cann't access it even when I can flash with odin I always have the problem of "E: failed to mount storage" (the same style as him [URL]...
I've rooted my samsung galaxy mega 6.3 GT-I9205 but I got stuck in a boot loop after trying to change my boot logo using a app called root tools. Before that everything with root worked fine.So I tried recovering the phone by going into recovery mode and wiping all of my data/factory reset and also wiping my cache. Both of these thing did not work.
So after that I went into download mode and tried to instal something I believe CWM. But now I can't even go into recovery mode because when I try, the phone says that it's going into recovery mode and then just reboots... and goes into a bootloop.
Today i founded a phone ( lucky ) BUT Phone not found any network its look like phone is turned on with no sim, but sim is entered and regonized, beacuse when i slide down bar there can see Network provider.
I rooted phone and flashed CM 7.2 RC 3+, but still no network.

I have the dead android with the red triangle on the recovery mode, I upgraded to jellybean 4.1.1 but some reason KIES reads my phone as being SGH I 747, so I factory whiped and reset, reinstalled 4.1.1. My original issue was when I wanted to sign into certain apps the phone would vibrate and then the app would crash and I would have to start over or not use the app! I tried to install a correct jellybean 4.1.1 into the phone hoping to fix the issues but I cant do anything, Now there is a dead android with a red triangle no clue what that is! When I tried to install another zip I get verification failed in recovery mode.

I booted into recovery mode but the power button does NOT react as 'select' button although it works just fine for power on and off. I select a function and press [power] an the first line becomes the selected. pushing it again just flashed the screen. But pressing it long turns the phone off,and even after the factory reset from phone directly(with out going to recovery mode)
View 5 Replies View RelatedI'm following step by step process to root my gt-s5310 using ODIN 3.07. Started from download mode and connect to the PC is no problem at all. ODIN finished with the GREEN PASS. When I tried to open recovery mode, only android recovery mode is open(but malfunctioning, going no where when I press the home button) that recovery mode also don't has "install zip from sd card" option.
My android version is 4.1.2 . Baseband version S5310DXAME2. Kernel version 3.0.15-1521875 se.infra@SWDA2309#1

Anywhos, i got to the point where I update it using the files i got off of the tutorial, and now im at the point where i need to boot into recovery in order to flash the phone with my new rom. However, here lies the issue. My phone is turned off, and i hold down volume down, and both the call and end buttons simultaneously. It starts to load up, but then it just basically loads into my phone like it normally should. I hold the buttons down all the way through this time, and same deal.. so what am i doing wrong here?
Seems I can't boot to recovery mode on my BH2. I've been all over the place looking for the exact method for booting to recovery, and I've seen all sorts of variations. The most common methods are to hold BOTH the Home and Power/End keys at the same time and continue holding them until you reach recovery, or to hold ONLY the Home key and continue to hold it after you have pressed the Power/End key to power up the device. I've also seen a couple people suggest that you should hold the Camera key while powering up. Suffice it to say, NONE of the methods I've tried have worked. When holding the Home key during power up, my phone hangs at the Android boot screen for about 2 minutes, but then continues to boot normally. Every other attempt to boot to recovery have resulted in a normal boot.

I've done this 7 times now, with two fingers holding down the volume buttons (one each) and then pressing the power button until the device shows signs of life.

The real problem here is that this device apparently does not have any sort of recovery mode and being in a boot loop means it does not get recognized by ADB or any firmware flashing software.

I installed ClockworkMod 5.0.2.0 using ROM Manager and since then I haven't been able to boot into recovery mode. I can get into bootloader but not recovery. I've tried powering it on with the volume button down, using the recovery reboot option, and tried using "Reboot into Recovery" in ROM Manager, but I keep seeing the same thing. It boots with the HTC logo then goes black then at this point i believe I should be seeing recovery mode but instead I see the HTC logo again and then it just boots like normal. Is there something I did wrong and is there a way to get recovery to work again?

I got one of the new vibrants that won't boot into recovery. Only the batches before august allow you to getting into recovery by holding vol up and down. I confirmed with t mobile that this a true statement, so i need another way in but cant figures it out i tried adb but it wont work either.

I have rooted my phone successfully, all above things did successfully, when i am trying to boot my phone into recovery mode then it is not boot in that mode instead it boots in normal mode. View 1 Replies View RelatedI tried to root Galaxy 5 (GT-I5500) which runs Android 2.2 and it just looks impossible. Programs I tried to use are Super One Click, z4root and Universal Androot.
Problem with SOC is that it stops responding after 2 messages appear:
Killing ADB Server...
Starting ADB Server... daemon not running. Starting it on port 5
After this it stops working... (Have the drivers for the phone and ADB stuff installed!)
The problem with z4root is that after "Acquiring root shell" my phone vibrates and just kicks me out from the program with no messages/warnings.
Universal Androot (1.6.2 b5) Says it's unable to root and that's it.
It seems that this phone has some kind of protection because I saw many other people unlocking this phone with all 3 programs I mentioned.
