my phone recently died when i was away from home and when i got home and plugged it in it says that the battery is disconected and cannot charge. ive unplugged it and checked to make sure the batter is in all the way but it still says it is disconnected.

I've had problems since the 4th month of this phone and its at a year now. It lost it's wifi back then and I managed to get it back by wiping it a number of times, both factory resets and android type.Other problems have occurred, I've taken care of them along the way. Now, the phone only works if it's plugged in. If it isn't, it goes dead. Shuts itself off immediately without a plug-in charge.
Btw, Samsung never would honor the warranty, citing they" don't replace phones but would "take a look at it" but couldn't "guarantee what they could do for it's software". I've had Samsung phones before and never had problems like this.
How to root this device?

Just this morning I received 15 texts in 30 minutes from five of them. One will start the conversation as a group message and the others jump on the bandwagon. Is there a way I can "block" from receiving group messages? I want to still receive individual texts from them - I just never want to receive a group text. Asking them to not include me in the group has not seemed to work. Just hoping my phone has an option to block.

Only problem is that javax.xml.transform is not being found by eclipse.The only options that come up are javax.xml and javax.xml.parsers. Does anyone know what could be going on?

My Samsung Galaxy S2's battery went dead because I didn't charge it when it was down! The first times I tried turning it on it turned on and off almost instantly once it had got to the lock. Now it just vibrates (does this when you turn on) and does nothing.

I could get a full days worth and more in the past, but now, my battery has been acting odd. I would usually charge it while I was sleeping, then wake up and go through my day just fine. But now, the minute i take it off the charger, it goes straight to being only half charged, and this is after 5 or 6 hours of charging.

I went to Battery and checked what is draining the battery so much, and according to my phone, its the brightness. take a look: 94%??! That's insane, and that does not sound normal to me. I tried lowering the brightness, even to the lowest possible, and the percentage does not change at all. I have since tried another charged battery from my sisters phone and it still will not turn on. The initial start-up "Galaxy" logo appears, but doesn't go further than that. It's been 9 days since i bought my galaxy wonder.Its battery is too weird for 3 days.Because 3 days ago 2.5 hours passed until %98.Now once i unplug its charger, it downs to %84 in 2.5 hours
Why is it too unstable? I didn't calibrate. (If that means charging it 12 hours after it discharged for the first time, i didn't do it.May it be the reason?)
BTW, important note : All settings are off (Wi-fi,bluetooth,gps,syncronization) and screen brightness is about %30 or %35 i guess.I don't even use live wallpaper and only widget i use is battery widget.(A simple widget 100 kb)
Many of us have experienced some battery life fall out since the last update. I mentioned this in the battery life thread but I thought it deserved it own topic. I have an app that I downloaded called battery status. it has a battery history. and it says time without sleeping 7h 10m 25s ago. Thats exactally when I unplugged my phone. This explains why I am seeing 2-3% per hour loss while not using the phone and while in airplane mode. Before the update I could keep the phone in airplane mode, not usre it, and leave work with over 94% battery life. So this proves that somehow the phone is not going into sleep mode... I can guarantee that everyone else in that is experiencing battery drain since the sept 16th update is due to this reason. The question is... why the hell is this happening and why won't the phone go into sleep mode?

I've noticed that the standard icon does a really poor job tracking the actual battery percentage. For example, the percentage will show 35%, but the icon will still appear two-thirds green.

After that was all said and done, I started up the phone and got a message, "unable to charge non supported battery see user manual." I connected a usb cord that came with my galaxy, to the front usb ports of my new computer. I built it myself but i think i connected the from case usb cords wrong to the mobo or may be the mobo is defective. My phone turns off as soon as i connect it to the usb cord connected to the front. Could the battery be screwed? My phone still boots up, it just doesnt charge as fast. If not at all i left it connected to the wall charger all night tonight and it was only half charged by morning. I plug my phone in overnight and at some point in the middle of the night an error occurs that make the phone think it is off the charger and has a fully depleted battery. The battery level icon shows no charge and if I pull the phone off the charger it immediately says it has to shut down due to a low battery. However, as soon as I turn it back on it is back to normal with a full charge.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI've had a Droid X2 for almost 2 years, and as phones usually do, the battery life became pretty bad. It would get to 5% and then quickly die halfway through the day.
I purchased a new battery, and found it to be just as bad (supposedly). It would be down to 5% by noon without much usage, so I thought maybe the problem was with my phone and not an old battery. I'd just turn it off or try to find a charger...
It took me a few days to realize that it lasts hours past when it gets to 5%. HOURS. It reached 5% at about 1pm EST today, I used it my whole commute home on the train, made a two 5-10 minute phone calls this evening, and now past 9pm it still hasn't died.
So, it's not the battery. It's not the worst problem to have... but it would be really nice to know how much battery I have left.
Note: I rooted my phone about 1 week before I got the new battery.
I received the update yesterday.I did about 20 speed checks.Browsed on roaming for at least a half hour.Was roaming standby overnight,slept at my girlfriends in the hills.Today did moderate calls of about a half hour.At 29 hours 30 minutes my battery is still 50%.Huge difference so far. Oops, forgot I charged in the car for 30 minutes.But this is still way better than before.
