Nexus 7 (2013) - Android 4.4.2 - Language Japanese
PC - Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit
While connecting Nexus 7 and PC (Windows) via USB cable, after taking a screenshot on Nexus 7 (using Power + VolumeDown), a png-file of Screenshot is saved, but its file-size is zero (of course, png graphics is not shown).
Once USB cable is unplugged, the png-file gets correct file-size, and png graphics is visible.
I hope taking screenshots while connecting Nexus and PC.
Nexus :: System Update Available Message Keeps Appearing
Sep 15, 2010I have a weird problem with my Nexus 1. I rooted it when I got it (some months ago), so I don't really remember all the details about how I did it, was probably some cyanogen mod thing. However back then I remember having a small issue with the "system update available" message that displays in the notification bar, when an update is available. The problem was that the message kept appearing even though the 2.2 update was successfully installed. The problem seemed to disappear at some point, but now it is back, and worse. I cannot turn on or wake up my phone without getting the annoying message in my face.
I did try to follow the instructions in the message and actually install the update and reboot (even though the phone is running 2.2), however it didn't help. So right now I am pressing the "install later" option every time I want to use the phone. Also, I found out that I can root the phone with the program Universal Androot, so I guess the solution would be to somehow unroot using the old method (that I have forgotten) and then just use the Universal Androot program whenever I want to do something that requires root. Now the reason I write all this is that I am a bit scared of bricking the thing (even though i hear it should be next to impossible).

Aug 25, 2013One of the lacking features of my trusty iPhone has been the lack of a zoom feature on the camera. Last week I purchased the new Galaxy S4 Zoom and cannot tell you how very happy I am with the zoom feature. I am still exploring the Android operating system and having a good time.
However, I cannot find out how you capture the screen. This is a simple operation on the iPhone (two buttons held), and have to believe that the same is true with the Galaxy Zoom.
Our family is really into weather stuff and I often capture a screen image from WeatherBug and email it to the kids.
General :: Screenshots And Downloads To Instant Upload?
May 16, 2012Any way to have screenshots taken with the device, or downloaded photo's, be directed to the instant upload feature?
Seems like instant upload pulls from the camera folder only.
Screenshots are saved to their own folder, as well as images saved from browser/apps, which would appear to exclude them from instant upload.
Maybe even a way for screenshots to default save into the camera folder? Likewise for downloads?

Mar 11, 2014i would like to change the save path of my screenshots. The pictures i take with my camera automatically go to my external SD card, but not my screenshots for some reason.

Dec 24, 2012It all started with a awesome home page and wanting to screenshoot it and finding out my Droid2 did not have software or shortcut keys like my GT7 to do this. So I read for some time until I felt confident in a safe rooting procedure which turned out to be the "Z4Root App". It's ridicously easy with the Droid2, download it, install it, open it, click "root permantley" and bang you've been granted root_access. After rooting I went with Screenshot Ultimate which claims screenshots can be done w/o Root which turned out to be untrue but w/root it works without a hitch. Unfortunately, it saves your screenshots in a very stupid place but you can access them through a file manager not the gallery but none the less it has accomplished the goal. Im curious to see how far root_access can take me

I also noticed this morning that even going to Amazon.com on Chrome on my phone won't load images there either. I attached a few screenshots to show what's going on. The two by martetrut and the casino one. I tried searching my phone for any trace of these apps and found nothing other than their appearance on this list.
Today, I looked at my list and now more mystery apps have appeared, with another app by that martetrut dev.
I downloaded lookout and Norton and ran several scans and they didn't pick up anything.... I'm a little concerned.

Jan 4, 2014I just got the virgin mobile awe, and i took a couple pictures that i either didnt notice were flipped or werent flipped, because now all im noticing is how annoyed im becoming at them being flipped. What i mean is, after i take the picture, not the before image of me on the cell phone, the after image effect. I dont see any options to change this either. Its almost as if it changed settings itself.

Aug 16, 2012It happened today after I upgraded to the new firmware, 4.04 DXLR5.
Many strange files with an icon that is grey and looks like a square with 2 keyholes and a lightning bolt appeared in all my sd card directories when viewed with the gallery app. These files, when clicked, show a blank screen.
But these files don't exist when viewed with my other apps like quickpic and es file viewer, and when I view the sdcard on my pc with a card reader.
For example originally I had 49 files in my dcim/camera directory. When viewed in gallery, it says I have 114 files. When viewed in quickpic or any other app, I still have 49 files. I cleared data in the gallery app but the same problem exists.
