Jul 21, 2010i have a new card and after transfering the files (which takes forever) the files are not there. on one occasion i transfered the files then inserted the card into my evo and then the music player says the file is not playable then the files seem to disappear. i am new to microsd cards but not new to pc hardware and software. to me i view the new evo as almost a mini laptop with a phone built in.
the damn phone does everything and is my first and probably last cell phone. about the card though, i formated it with my pc (windows 7) with the multimedia card reader built in. and had no luck with this issue then... i formatted the card with the phone and still no change. it is like the files just disappear

Jun 24, 2010From what I was told, the Inc supports 32gb microsd card. So I ordered a Sandisk one...class 4. I got it and tested it out. It seems like it can transfer/read small files....but anything big it wouldn't read properly. It's funny cuz a movie file would transfer and play...but if I delete it and transfer the same exact file over, it wouldn't play. Or if I transfer music, some files play and some wouldnt. And some even would merge into one file. Like one song would play and then all sudden another song would POP up like what a DJ does when they mix songs together.
I know I might have a defected one but this is a legit Sandisk card. So what else could be the problem? Should I transfer the file one or slower so the card can read it....is there a way or procedure to using a 32gb MicroSd card? Lol. I mean I have a 16gb right now and it reads and transfers fine. With the 16gb I can literally drag a folder of 10 movies and it would be fine.

Jun 7, 2013I purchased a 32gb micro SD for my pantech flex and I started adding music to it and files seem to keep getting corrupt after awhile is there a glitch with the flex or do I have to do it a certain way I tried putting it in my pc first to add files and then I tried USB cable but I only used MTP so far.. What I should do I also transferred them with es explorer.

Aug 16, 2012It happened today after I upgraded to the new firmware, 4.04 DXLR5.
Many strange files with an icon that is grey and looks like a square with 2 keyholes and a lightning bolt appeared in all my sd card directories when viewed with the gallery app. These files, when clicked, show a blank screen.
But these files don't exist when viewed with my other apps like quickpic and es file viewer, and when I view the sdcard on my pc with a card reader.
For example originally I had 49 files in my dcim/camera directory. When viewed in gallery, it says I have 114 files. When viewed in quickpic or any other app, I still have 49 files. I cleared data in the gallery app but the same problem exists.

Jul 30, 2010I have the HTC EVO 4G with a 16GB memory card inserted. I am almost out of space with my audio books etc so I was thinking of upgrading to a 32GB memory card. What is the best way to use the 32GB card with all the content currently on the 16GB card. Would using my CPU to hold the 16GB's data then copying to the 32GB card work?

Sep 6, 2010I got a Motorola Droid from Verizon in the spring. It came with a Sandisk 16gb card, but I have over 20 gb of music, so for the time being I've only kept some of my music on there. I always transferred music through the USB connection, using Windows Explorer (I have Windows 7). I have all the files tagged with title/artist/album etc. but for easy organization I have them sorted into folders - a folder for each artist, and a subfolder for each album. Right now my phone is running Froyo (Android 2.2).
My husband recently bought me a Samsung 32 gb micro SDHC card that he got on eBay. So of course as soon as it was in the phone, I wanted to transfer my music. I connected it to the computer via USB, and copied all my music folders onto it. Explorer showed that it would take a few hours for the transfer, so I left it plugged in overnight.....................

Jul 26, 2010I have recieved from China, via ebay, a 32gb sd card. It is actually 31.7gb according to my laptop. when i put it in my desire, it will not see it, or just tells me that the sd card needs formatting, then won't format it. Is this because the card is too slow,or is it an OS problem,that will be resolved when Froyo is released?

Jun 22, 2010I have installed my new 32gb card into my desire and transferred my music collection (about 20gb) across via my pc but when I try to play them not all are available. They appear to be on the card as when I check the contents of the card on the pc in explorer they are all there and if I check the folders using the phone again they are showing on the card.
But when I go to select a song to play from the stock player there are only 100 songs to choose from which is very strange as there should be over 2000 easily. Interestingly when I switched the phone off and back on again I had about 700 to choose from which is still not right. Do I need to do anything with the vcard before installing (for example I didn't format it)? For info I needed to set up a new folder called MP3 on the new card when I installed it and dragged them into this folder so presume that was correct?

Aug 23, 2010You might have seen this around the forums or other places: 32GB MicroSD. Its the 32GB MicroSD that Verizon is selling for $99 with FREE overnight shipping for their phones. You can buy it without having anything with Verizon, though.
I now have mine installed in my Captivate and the thing is great. I have 29GB of Music/Videos/Pictures loaded up on it and playing back ANYTHING on my phone is fast and doesn't stutter. I know I had some questions about this so I just wanted to post that yes, you CAN enjoy 48GB of space on a Captivate without worrying about Class size speed issues, worrying about the card being fake, etc. Well worth the 100 bucks. The money you can save from Wirefly/Amazon/Walmart etc can easily pay for this.
Samsung Epic 4G :: Not Format 32GB SD / Card Damaged ?
Sep 5, 2010I finally got around transferring my 32Gig card out of my Evo and into the Epic. After I put it in I decided to clean it and reformat it in the Epic. Epic starts the format then comes up with a message "card damaged cant format". I put the same card in the Evo and it formatted just fine and then worked in the Epic. Then I tried to format it again in the Epic and again I get the card damaged pop up. Again it reformatted just fine in the Evo. Any ideas anyone else get this message? Just to add I tried to format a smaller card in the Epic and it was able to format that fine. Once the 32gig card is formatted in the Evo it will work fine in the Epic.

Both internal and 32GB were mounted in Finder. Should I have unmounted the internal storage? Or is something else appropriate? What about copying the Music folder from the internal to the 32GB?

Mar 19, 2014My Sandisc 64GB SD card went kaputt last week, it froze at 33GB, luckily the existing files are all ok and I was able to copy all the files onto my PC, however nothing new can be written to it. I've tried formatting with no success. So I copied the files onto the PC and just got a new this time Samsung 64GB micro SD card. Problem I'm having now is that on several attempts it's failed to copy the files back to my SD card (from PC) I've formatted the card in the Note 3..the music files about 4 GB transferred just fine, the problem seems to be with the Pix and Videos. I'm currently trying to copy the DCIM folder back onto the micro sd and it's saying it'll take 6 hours.

May 20, 2010i am using sense 2.2 rom on my rooted htc hero with no problems on my 16gb microsdhc card. however when i used a kingston 32gb microsdhc i just purchased i can't seem to get it to work. i have formatted the sd card on my computer then i partitioned the card the same way i did with my 16gb card, then i partitioned ext2 to ext3 but when i restarted my phone with the 32gb card inside the screen was stuck on the htc logo. can anybody help please?

Appears that LauncherPro loads faster than the SD apps. I have been successful in "Restarting" LauncherPro in the "Setting, Preferences" tab. When LauncherPro restarts the apps are then their for use. This does not happen very often when I aas I go on. Very, very frustrating to have apps on Droid and not being able to use them. Any help will be appreciated. Ready to move on to something else if I cannot get a working runnaround. This is what the window with the SD card apps that do not work looks like. This is the message I get when I try to use one of the SD card apps. This is what it looks like when I go into "Menu, Applications" to look at my apps. Stays this way forever. This is what it looks like when I try to move an app. Never changes.

Dec 16, 2011So recently I obtained a new 16 GB micro SD card which worked fine with my previous phone and typically worked well with my Galaxy SII as well, but when I went to transfer files from my computer to the card I ran into an issue. After all the files we're transferred it all seemed fine, but shortly afterward I ran into a blank SD card notification and was prompt to format via phone, which managed to format successfully. So then I went through the process again, this time putting nearly everything through a file converter before transferring. Again, everything seemed fine until a short while later when I have a blank card and prompt to format yet again. And like before the formatting seemed to work fine.
And to provide a bit more information that may be relevant, since our computer doesn't seem to play nice with my SD card (no window pops up after inserting and when attempting to read the card via My Computer it simply locks up and becomes unresponsive) when I transferred the files I did so through having my old phone plugged in with the card inserted and managed to get to it that way. With the second attempt I just used my current phone instead with hopes that it would work better that way. Unfortunately the same issue occurred as mentioned above.
So that pretty much covers it. If I had to guess it would seem that a hiccup is occurring with the transfer process that makes the card appear blank shortly afterward. Would be nice to find a way to prevent this from happening again.
