Mar 3, 2014I use Pandora for "radio" and Shuttle to listen to MP3s that I've copied/downloaded to my phone.
Problem is that when I get in my car and connect via Bluetooth, Shuttle starts up most of the time, even if I was listening to Pandora previously (e.g., listening to Pandora, park, run an errand, get back in car and Shuttle starts up when I start the car).
Today, I even had the situation where Pandora started up, played for a second or two, then Shuttle started up and "drowned it out".
General :: Droid Incredible 2 - WiFi Connects But NO Service?
Jun 15, 2012I am able to access the WiFi server with my DI2, but I cannot get any service. This has been happening for several weeks. My wife has the same issue with her iPhone.
For example, on my Facebook App, when I try to load the app, I get an error that says Connection Lost. When I go to Play Store to download apps, it tells me there is no connection. You get the point.
Note that on occasion, I am able to load the internet and get Google, but when I do a search, back to the error messages.
It also happens at home when we connect to our wireless network. Sometimes it works, but lately it's been unable to load.

This is quite odd. My mobile data (4G LTE) symbol in the header area used to dim (like when you disable mobile) when my Wifi kicked in and it does not anymore.
So it always appears that both 4G and Wifi are active at the same time. Only after watching which up/down arrows are flickering do I know which is working.
And on some occasions, the arrows on both flicker. I am not 100% sure, but I think this started after I turned on the Ultra Power Savings mode.

Mar 24, 2013That's basically the problem. My Visual Land Prestige 10 Android 4.0 10" Tablet i got from WalMart readily connects to all kinds of public wi-fi networks with no problems. BUT it will not connect to my home wi-fi network, which is from Cox Cable via a Linksys router.
I have several other devices, including a Palm Tablet, a Galaxy S3, and an Asus laptop, and all of these connect to my home wi-fi with no problem.
So why does my tablet not do so? It recognizes the existence of the wi-fi network, but never connects. It just says "saved", and that's it.

Apr 19, 2010I just got my Desire last week, upgrade on Vodafone from a Samsung Omnia, and this one is by far THE best one ever. PRO: with 1Ghz cpu it runs like the wind apps:lots of them and till now haven't had any problem with any game or app, one of my favorites is AndFTP...use it to conect to my computer via wifi to get all that i need GPS: i can't belive how fast it conects it self to satelites, i haven't tested it on a cloudy day, cause it been all sunshine these days. the time it took to conect was les then 10 sec out side, and less then 30sec-1 min indoor near a window. with my previous phones N95-8G and Omnia, if it was sunny...2-3 min, cloudy-more the 5min...sometimes 10min, and indoor by the window...never...got sick of waiting more than 10-15 min. display...it's big enough network conection....never fails...full signal anyware, unlike my wifes sam jet on "3" network witch kind of suck, outside signal quite good, but indoors....is more or leass with no signal came preinstalled with a sandisk 4g microsd card very thin-for what it has inside....
-can't install apps on sdcard (why is that???is that how all andoird OS are? do i have to root it, and if so is it possible to root the desire?) low memory on the phone to install apps and games...it practicly asks for rooting wheres all the memory???...on gsmarena and other sites...at the desires specs the Internal memory si 576 MB RAM; 512 MB ROM, and i use smart monitor lite and at system my it says my memory is 398.34, and at storage (/systems+/cache+/data adds to 250+40+147=437)...can't properly close and app -no DIVX...come one...why???..

Jun 10, 2010I have a problem with the wifi... its able to connect to my router but im not able to use the internet. web pages wont load, ebuddy wont connect, fring wont connect, android market wont load. the wifi internet was working before and now its not. currently my laptop is connected via wifi and its confirmed I can browse websites and chat through aim. 3G network works fine but I want to save battery life when I'm at home.

Aug 2, 2010I need to revisit this again, because soon I am going to RRU and set my phone back to stock and call Verizon so they can send me a new one. My issue is that when I connect to a wifi network, Secured or not, G/B/N anything it connects gets an IP but I get no internet connectivity. When I set a static IP it works fine and I have no isssues. I know my stuff pretty well, but is there an app that will tell me my network info like DNS, Netmask and IP out there? I am trying to find out if for some reason its not getting a DNS entry. I have even go so far at my house to change the DHCP to my wireless router opposed to my Sonicwall thinking that might be the issue.

4G constantly scans and will not connect. I live in Atlanta 4G was working. I have checked my Mac Address and it matches with the phone. Any help would be appreciated. I have searched but most articles I found were from July.
Also I am on a Mac, I am rooted via unRevoked and use Rom manager to load roms.
General :: ADB Rejected Connection To Client
Sep 26, 2012I have a nasty problem with the adb and my Galaxy Nexus (CM10 nightly-20120926). The ADB seems not to work properly. Every time I start my app within Eclipse it gets installed on my Galaxy Nexus and the LogCat window show some output. So far so good. But suddenly ADB stops writing messages and the "Console" windows shows a lot of messages like:

From now on the ADB does not output messages any longer. I have to reconnect my Galaxy Nexus to my USB-Port to restart the debugging.
And some messages I generate by using "System.out.println();" are never displayed also!
My onCreate() method looks like

Dec 16, 2009I've looked all over this forum and others and haven't found anyone with this issue. Got my Droid Eris last week and love it so far. When I use Wi-Fi it finds my router and connects with no problems. I open browser and can go to Google.com, do searches from there, etc. and everything works fine and pages load quickly as long as I stay on Google.com. But when I try any other site they either never load ("web page not available") or they take several minutes to load.
Browser works fine on all sites when on 3G. I tried Wi-Fi with 3G turned-on and turned-off, but same results. Tried clearing browser cache, deleted cookies, etc.
I'm stumped...I can't think of anything that would prevent non-Google sites from working only when I'm using Wi-Fi.
Samsung Moment :: Connects To Computers As A/C Power Instead Of USB
Apr 17, 2010When I connect my phone to my computers (Win 7 or 2 XP machines) it always connects as A/C and not as USB. I downloaded the Samsung USB drivers and this worked on the Win 7 machine for a while but then started connected as A/C again. Un-installed and installed the drivers again but they do now work now. The Samsung drivers did not work on either of the XP machines. So, as of now I think it is the phone? I do have the Power Manager app installed and the phone still connects as A/C with it running or not.

Some apps I use are blocked in china (TuneIn Radio, Pandora, etc), and i'm looking for a way to have a VPN on it.
The thing is that the manufacturer of the device removed the VPN network settings, so I can't connect (or it is absent on the Android 2.3.4 ). is there a way to install some kind of VPN Client on this android? I already have a paid VPN Account and use on my apple devices.
General :: VPN Client Implementation Specific To Application?
Feb 21, 2012I wanted to implement the application specific VPN client in android, that is vpn connection once established should be only available to our application and rest of the apps in android device should make use of normal internet connection.
To elaborate my need more, i have an application already which connects to corporate email, files and other data from internet normally but for some security reason we need it to be go through tunnel within our application and access everything within via tunnel basically want we are looking here is security while accessing company corporate network.
Since we are new to something like this we don't have a hint on how to start what protocols to use etc (we are assuming ipsec l2tp for now).
And between we are just looking to send and receive data over tunnel, there is nothing more or need to control computer on the network all we need is to route data through corporate firewall and should support multiple vpn servers such as cisco, microsoft etc. How complex or how feasible to implement it.

Sep 12, 2009I just got an i7500 from France this morning. I like the phone but I didn't mean to bid so much on eBay... oh well, I've got it now!
Anyway, I am not able to use my wifi connection.
Major points as follows:
- I can turn wifi on, connect to my wireless network after being asked for the password (I've got WPA2 security set up on my router),
- I can open my web browser and type in the URL for my router web interface. This works, I can browse that web page.
- I can not connect to the internet, no URL's outside my wireless network work
- I don't have this trouble with any other devices on my network - my Eee PC and friends machines get to the internet without a problem.
- The i7500 I have is still locked to Bouygues telecom in France, and I don't have a SIM card in the mobile.
- Router is a Linksys WRT100
Do I need an active sim card to use wifi? (EDIT- answer = no)
Is there any way I can check what my gateway address is in Android? (EDIT - answer = can't check it, but can set a gateway when setting a static IP in Wifi setup.)

Mar 2, 2010I'm having an odd issue w/Pete's BB 7.9...
I am able connect via WiFi to home network just fine - connects quickly and I get a proper IP.
However, nothing will connect - email, browser, marketplace, etc...
Everything works fine from my laptop on the same wireless network. Never had any issue w/any guest laptops at my home on the network. I don't have mac address filtering or any other settings like that...am using wpa.
Any ideas? Never seen this happen before...previously I've used my phone on wifi from home it worked, but that's been quite a while, can't remember when/which ROM.
Again - I connect fine to my wireless network, get an IP, but when I try to access anything from my phone it acts like I'm not connected. Go back to 3G and all is fine. Tried going back and forth between wifi and 3g, and it behaves the same way each time...appreciate any help.
Now it's working...weird. Didn't change any setting. I was trying another ROM (that wouldn't even boot for me - Chevy has a new 2.1 w/working auto-brightness, mute, keyboard lock) and after flashing back to 7.9 now wifi is working.
Sprint HTC Hero :: WiFi Tether Connects But No Internet
May 18, 2010I can connect my PC to the wifi tether system but the internet only worked twice (no idea why). I tried uninstalling/reinstalling several times, tried changing encryption status but nothing seemed to make a difference. If anyone has any thoughts that may help I'd be glad to hear them.

Nov 5, 2010I have tried on many occasions now to run a Windows Update via the device itself. Each time I try, eventuly I get an error stating that the device could not connect to the server and to check my connection settings. I have an unlimited plan so I know I have not exceeded my limit, plus I can browse the internet and use programs that require a connection fine. Does anyone know why this is happening? Or had the same problem and has found a resolve? I am currently on Windows Mobile 6.1.

Jun 5, 2013debugging an application from the new enviroment Android Studio. When i press the debug logo, it installs on my device successfully, however i get this message constantly from the ADB Log (DDMS): "DeviceMonitor: Adb rejected connection to client '19322': closed" thus i cannot debug.
I have tried rebooting PC and rebooting device several times.I'm running Avast AntiTheft which has an option to prevent USB debugging, but that one is disabled.
