Android :: How To Keep Dolphin Browser Playing When Screen Turns Off?
Dec 21, 2009I see where Dolphin is highly recommended, but after doing some playing around I noticed something pretty strange. I like to listed to music streaming and the stock browser seems to allow Flash play audio, but the Dolphin browser can not recognize it. The problem with listening with the stock browser is that when the phone goes into standby mode, it stops playing. Does anyone know how to keep it playing when the screen turns off?

Nov 18, 2013I have a Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3, with a 64GB Micro SD card. I would like to play back videos I have stored on my SD card; however none of the videoplayers I've tried will do it - they all say the file cannot be played. The videos all play fine when stored locally, so I know there is no issue with the files themselves or the transfer process of getting them onto the SD card. Currently, if I want to watch a video, I have to use the My Files app to navigate to the file on the SD card and move it to the internal storage. This works, but its clunky and not very nice. Is this a bug feature of 4.2.2, or of my handset in general?

Jun 27, 2010Just got an x10 I convert and move mpeg4 videos to the phone. The videos play fine however they are not full screen in landscape. Instead in landscape mode they are more square shaped videos.
How can i play videos in full wide screen?
I havent downloaded any video/media player apps, im using thr default one on the x10.

Apr 13, 2010Tried rooting so I started off flashing r8 of bh_man's 1.6 rom. Went through the setup, odin turned blue to pass and I let the phone run past the android system and then the screen turned off.
Thing about it is that the phone is still being detected by the computer and odin. It's like my phone is on a screen lock but not responding to when I push unlock.
Ive tried every custom rom and each one does the same. I try to go back to stock and most of the time the program closes, when it doesn't I try to flash it and it goes through the process but goes on forever. One time I let the timer go on for 2 hours and it was still on 5/9 completed.
General :: YouTube Not Playing Videos
Mar 15, 2012I've had this problem ever since installed then uninstalled avast and the antitheft bit that sometimes youtube won't play videos.The app shows the videos available and I can search but when you click to play all you get is the spinning circle.
It doesn't happen often and a restart of phone always fixed it before but now that's not working.Cleared cache etc but nothings working. What can cause this and how to sort it?
Its a stock rooted gb rom and only happened when avasts hidden app didn't uninstall after getting superuser rights and I had to freeze the hidden app then uninstall it with titanium backup. It did say (avast) something about doing something to nand.
General :: Videos Stop Playing After A While?
May 25, 2014I have this issue that randomly occurs either after watching so many videos or my phone just being on after so much time that videos will stop playing, the first second of a video will play and then it stops, this occurs for youtube videos or videos locally on my phone. This issue can be resolved by doing a reboot but then will just occur again.
I have a Droid Razr MAXX and it is rooted running liquid smooth.

Nov 9, 2012Any power-point viewers capable of playing videos? I'm pretty close to trading in my Android for an Apple given that there is no viewer that I have been able to find that supports videos.
I could convert my ppt to a movie, but would prefer not to go this route. Also, I am unable to wait until 2013 when Microsoft makes available its Office for android as well as ipad/iphone.

That's an MKV file, I also had videos I took on my iPhone that I moved to the Galaxy, and those were MOV format, and none of them work. When I plug the phone into my computer and go to my SD card and play them off of there on my computer, it seems just fine, so I don't know, what could the problem be?

May 6, 2010I have compiled android eclair version 2.1 on my htc sapphire 32A and everything works great up to playing videos. When I ran playing a any video on device, android player starts and I see only black screen. Sound is working properly, but something happens when bites from video are copied to share memory with kernel. Sep 20, 2010i will be using my phone, set it down for a minute, screen turns off then the phone magically isnt on anymore. I have to do a battery pull to get it back on. The power button will not turn it on. any help anyone can give me its reallllly annoying update. During a call, when I put the phone by my left ear, my ear and/or my cheek touch the screen, and though one would expect the buttons on the touch screen to be disabled during a call, when held against the ear and the face, I keep accidentally hanging up calls or in some other occasions, muting, having frustrated monologues to myself, thinking that the other person is ignoring me...
I mentioned using the left ear, because, it seems to have always happened when I held the phone by my left ear and not when I held it by my right ear.
I'm trying to find a more elegant solution, as dropping numerous calls is not an option. (today I dropped more than 15 calls). Any suggestions?

Jan 10, 2014Mobile phone. I bought it year and a half ago, and have changed operating systems few times (custom roms). Now I have Pristine JB Slim custom ROM, i have installed it 1-2 months ago (cant remember exactly), and everything was okay for first half period, but then it started to crush after mobile data/wifi was turned on.
When I turn on MD/WIFi, its usually okay till 76% of battery, but then screen starts to blink for few seconds and turns off immediately after. When I turn it on again, it turns off again after 1-2 minutes, and sometimes even warns me that i have to charge it cause battery has only few % left (most of time just 1). And I have to charge it again to work normally (well, until it starts to go crazy again )
Before i start to install other roms again. So. Is it faulty battery, bad ROM or something else?

The issue is that when I put an mp4 on my Evo, it will show up as a black screen with only the audio playing. Those were with larger files, approximately 1.6gb, and 2.3gb. I did get a a smaller file (about 20mb) to play, although the audio was off.
