General :: Motorola Defy Plus - WiFi Bar Always Grey

Im Using My Motorola Defy + I Have Used If About 1 Year Now But For about 3 Days Ago Something Happend. I Had Some Fun With A Cheat Called FreeDom.
Then Like 3 Hours Later I Stopped Use It And I Was Playing CrimeCity For About 2 Hours. Then I Stopped Played And Like 1 Hour Later My Friend Said To Me Something "have you tryed the App called " Steam " Its Exactly As The Program For Your Computer But On Your Android.
So I Were Going To Download That App And Something Happend I Opened Google Play And It Said " No connection " Retry? And I Saw That The Wifi Bar Was Grey I Tryed Everything Factory Reset Change Time ...
I Can Enter Google And Enter Youtube But Not Use The Other Things Like Google Play Log In On An Google Account or Something...

I just installed CyanogenMod 10 20130110-NIGHTLY to my Motorola Defy+ and I am experiencing this problem:
3 of 4 dock icons disappear after rebooting the phone. It doesn't happen always, just in approximately 50% cases.
Now, it happened after closing and app and returing to launchscreen, plus one widget was gone too It's becoming really annoying, plus I'm having serious issues with connecting to wifi. I guess I'll just start using again Gingerbread that actually works, instead of this piece of... unfinished, not working ...thing

I recently rooted and I thought it'd be cool to try and get some free in-app purchases. I looked at a tutorial and it told me to use Freedom and Market Unlocker Pro. I had to open Market Unlocker Pro and use the custom market code '25008'. I then opened Freedom and opened Clash Of Clans and tried to buy something, and as I thought, it didn't work. But since then my WiFi bars have been grey and I can't use the Play Store or any Google services. I can use the Google Search and the Internet but I can't get apps that I want on the Play Store. I've tried restoring and clearing data from Google Framework but that hasn't worked.

After upgrading my defy successfuly to cyanogenmod9, I cant access the internal memory of the phone through the computer. when I choose the "portal" option in the usb connections, the computer does the "beep" sound when theres a new hardwear plugged to it, but I can't access it.
How can I transfer files, like music, into folders in the internal storage?

At present i am using Quarx CM9 nightly(10th July) and apex launcher.on my defy plus BL7.If i want to install CM 10 BY Quarx do i have to use a different kernel while flashing? Is this method OK?

I created a google maps app. I have been using the debug md5 fingerprint to test my app as I built it. It worked fine. Now that I'm ready to publish, I'm having a problem with the nondebug md5 fingerprint I need to publish with. I'll go step by step with what I've done. I right click my app in eclipse, then go down to android tools > export signed application package. It pops up a window. I see my app name i hit next.
keystore selection> create new> C:AndroidAppMapKey> create passwords for it hit next.
Key creation> create my alias name.
Lets say mapalias> give it the same password as the keystore. Give it a validity of 1000> insert my name. hit next. destination and key/certificate check> C:AndroidAppMyGoogleMaps.apk > hit finished. After that i open up cmd, I'm on windows 7.
I type> keytool -list -v -alias mapalias -keystore C:AndroidAppMapKey -storepass mypass -keypass mypass. It generates the md5 code i need. I go to the website to register the md5 code. get the code i need to use on my android: apiKey="ofhsjfjfjmmmmmdnjjffmmf". Run it on the emulator and my phones. I get a grey screen with no map coming up.

I mostly use wifi at home and office so I usually turn the 3G off using APNdroid and Smartbar. When I needed to use 3G on the street, I used APNdroid and Smartbar too. But there is just a grey 3G signal on the notification bar. I have to turn the phone off and turn it on to have 3G signal.

I've just updated my S4 (GTi9505) to version 4.3, and now all the apps which are on my SD card are grey squares rather than their own icons! How can I sort this out and keep them on the SD card? I've tried moving them to the phone storage and the pics come back, but as soon as i move them back to sd card they're gone again!

Uploaded a batch of photos from my phone to Picasa - quite a few towards the end of the batch ended up with a grey bar across the bottom half of the photo.Anyone know what causes this? Saw one or two previous posts have been made about it, but no one seems to know why it happens.

So I am using the techniques in this thread to use a custom background for my titlebar. Unfortunately the framework places my layout inside a FrameLayout (title_container) which has padding as seen below.
Is there anyway to remove the Grey borders? The frame layout is defined in com.android.internal.R.id.title_container, so accessing the frame by ID would be fragile.

I'm trying to create an app to plot our mountain bike trails on a Google map. I've got the Google map part working. However, once I try to plot a couple of geopoints and connect them it does displays the geopoints and connects them, but the Google map stops displaying. Only grey tiles show. So I have the nexus 3D gallery app installed on my 2.1 Eris. It works fine other than it refuses to generate thumbnails sometimes. They just show up as grey boxes. Once it finally does generate the thumbnails, it's fine, but sometimes they just won't generate. For example, I took some pics this past Sunday and the thumbnails are still just showing up as grey boxes. It takes several cycles of closing gallery, opening gallery, closing, opening, etc. etc. to get it to finally generate all the thumbnails, then they're fine. Oh, and sometimes they don't show up at all. Seems this app is very buggy on the Eris.

I'm using the latest Wifi Fix and OverClock kernel for 2.2 Froyo, but I'm still having issues randomly disconnecting from the wireless network... The wifi signal shows 0/3 bars even when sitting right in front of the router.
Froyo Overclocked Kernels includes *wifi* fix is where I got my kernel. I've been overclocking to 1200 GHz.

I have a ListView that I'm populating from a custom ListAdapter. Inside the Adapter (in the getView(int, View, ViewGroup) method) I'm setting the background color of the View using setBackgroundColor(int). The problem is that no matter what color I set the background to it always comes out a dark grey. It might also be worth noting that I'm using the Light theme.

Please list to me the benfeits of switching my WiFi on to pick up my wireless network as oppossed to just leaving in the defautl 3G mode. This would be very helpful for me. Specifically I am a bit fuzzy on a couple items:
Does it make the internet faster when wiFi is enabled?
Is it using MORE or less battery power to be left in WiFi connectivity mode? (maybe it uses less battery when surfing the net, but if Im not surfing the net wifi should be off so that both 3G and Wifi are not both draining?)
Is there a way to set my phone to automatically connect to certain WiFi networks when the phone recognizes they are available? (i.e., my home wireless network as oppossed to just getting alerts on EVERY available network?)

I was told that 3G consume more energy than wifi;so I should use wifi whenever it's available.Is that true?
Now,when the phone is idle (and both 3G & wifi are on),which one will it use?It seems 3G to me b/c when I wake it from sleep, it seems to look for wifi again.So,does that mean I should turn wifi off during idle?Just trying to find a way to juice more out of the X!
