I've just updated my S4 (GTi9505) to version 4.3, and now all the apps which are on my SD card are grey squares rather than their own icons! How can I sort this out and keep them on the SD card? I've tried moving them to the phone storage and the pics come back, but as soon as i move them back to sd card they're gone again!

I recently rooted and I thought it'd be cool to try and get some free in-app purchases. I looked at a tutorial and it told me to use Freedom and Market Unlocker Pro. I had to open Market Unlocker Pro and use the custom market code '25008'. I then opened Freedom and opened Clash Of Clans and tried to buy something, and as I thought, it didn't work. But since then my WiFi bars have been grey and I can't use the Play Store or any Google services. I can use the Google Search and the Internet but I can't get apps that I want on the Play Store. I've tried restoring and clearing data from Google Framework but that hasn't worked.

I have tried the strategy of clicking on an apps setting and clicking the button that should be halfway down the page that allows me to move it from the internal storage to the SD card, but the button, for any of my apps, does not appear. It's not like its there and I cant click it, its really not even there.

SuperSu updated after installation. I am trying to move applications to the sd card. I downloaded FolderMount (and a number of other apps that claim to move apps2SD but don't work) and FolderMount only sees what is on the SD Card, not internal storage. View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm using a Gemini Devices Gem1031BK 16GB tablet running Android 4.1.1 and Nova Launcher. I have 2 main problems.
Problem 1, if I move my photos to the SD card I can no longer view them on the tablet. It is as though they no longer exist, but the tablet will run Apps stored on card.
Problem 2. I keep getting "App Not Installed" messages although the icon is still present on the desktop. This happens with various apps, Candy Crush Saga, BBC iPlayer, BBC Media Player etc. The only thing I can do then is reload the app from the Play Store.
i have rooted my galaxy note 8 with framaroot jus to use a mouse and keyboard emulator no to do anyhing technical or some ROM things and then i " regretfully" have updated the device to jelly bean 4.2.2 and now i am lost im not rooted and though i have the supersu app installed and stuck , it cannot be uninstalled.i have ried to use root manager to remove the file from inside , it tells me it has been removed however it is not also it cannot be opened it tels me " there is not SU binary installed , and superSU canot install it , this is a problem" tried to re-root the devise again , downloaded the latest framaroot . i doesnt work and tells me " failed ry anoher exploit if available" all of the other options are giving me the same thing.

Cleared cache, nothing. Cleared data, it got as far as letting me accept terms and in the notification bar told me I had apps to update, but then shut down again. As far as I can remember Play Store was working before I updated.
I updated on a rooted Galaxy S 3. I was running stock everything, I believe. I had only changed the camera shutter noise.
I am using the AT&T SGH -1337 Samsung Galaxy S4. Android version 4.2.2. Unlocked to work with T-Mobile, USA. I am unable to uupdate the phone to any other build because it checks AT&T servers for updates. Since I am on Tmobile, it will never find updates. II've tried to use Kies. I'm encountering some problems when i'm trying to update my Hyundai T7S tablet to the official jelly bean 4.2 ROM.
I've the update from the Hyundai website (hyundai-digital .cn). This download comes in a .rar file. I knew it would be impossible, but tried anyway to flash this file from the SD-card. But to make it work this way, the update should be a .zip-file.
In the .rar file are 15 files, some of them are .bin and .img files. And I've not the knowledge what I can do with these files. Unfortunately the support guide of Hyundai can not be opened and two hours Google.
Is it possible to convert the .rar file into a .zip file and flesh this file? Or can I flash the rar-file in some way?
I have a rooted Galaxy S3 (version 4.1.1) and im trying to update it, after the file is "downloaded" my phone reboots but there's the problem, the CMM based Recovery v5.5.0.4 screen appears. (SanDisk 32GB Ultra Android Micro SD (SDHC) Class 10 UHS-1 30MB/s) I tried reformatting the mico sd on my computer with FAT 32 default settings and rebooting the tablet but it still can't be recognized or mounted. I also tried another older 1Gbt sandisk, tried reformatting the mico sd and rebooting the tablet but still not recognized. Under settings / Storage there are two places where it says internal storage/mount SD card but selecting either one pressing long or short does not appear to do anything. There is nothing there that says external SD. I have tried reformatting the 32Gbt card and 1Gbt card with FAT 32 default file allocation, exFat32 and also NTSF but still no recognition. Now its back to FAT32 default file allocation size.
I am wondering if this is a setting problem, a hardware problem or an android software or bios problem. Is there any way I can test if the micro sd can be detected by the bios?
I instaled a sd memory card, changed the settings in the camara options. Pics are saved in extSdcard folder but not in the memory card. What can I do?

(1) I want to store one large app--The Simpsons Tapped Out--on my SD card. I tried installing an app I thought would allow me to move the game app--
App 2 SD--but it only produced a list of apps that CAN be moved to my SD card: "TSTO" is on this list. I found in forums instructions purportedly for my phone, telling me I could move an app to the SD card by choosing the "move" button in Applications Manager. I have no such button. (I have Android version 4.1.2) So: is there any way for me to move an app to my SD card without rooting my phone?
(2) I also read online that I can take a screenshot with my phone by pressing the power button and the down-volume button at the same time. This turns down my volume and then turns off my phone. No screen shot. Is there a way to take a screenshot with this phone without rooting?
I am willing to risk rooting if there is no other way. The game in question is the only one in my phone, the only one I play--and every time a game update comes in, now, I get a message saying the phone hasn't memory enough to load it. This is why I installed the (still blank) SD card.
I received the 4.3 update this morning and now my SD card keeps reading empty and needs to be formatted.

I successfully rooted the phone and it was working fine until my internet stopped one morning and upon restarting the phone, it wrote SIM1: SIM card not detected, SIM2: sim card not detected. I have tried all I could yet no avail as I can't use SIM card in the phone. I used MTK droid tool but nothing could be done, also entering engineering mode with ##4636##, the radio remained permanently turned off and couldn't turn on. I used IMEI tools to rewrite and replace the NVRAM files yet nothing happened. it has been very frustrating trying to find a solution but none found. WIFI and bluetooth still work fine.

I'm using Android 4.2.1 on Galaxy note 10.1. I am travelling and photographing and have 64 folders and 6gbs of pics on a 64*gb*sd card. The last two attempts to transfer images from my camera via USB have all failed with various weirdness, like seeing the pics in folder with Gallery app once, only to have the folder completely disappear on next viewing. I have lost over 800 photos like this and I can' t find anything about a folder limit in android but see lots of similar posts with sd card problems. All fine up until I hit that limit, now my whole image recording process while traveling appears to be unreliable. Is it possible the pics are there but not viewable somehow?

For this reason , I needed additional space and bought a 16 GB class 10 Lexar Micro Card .The card works pretty well from my PC. The problem is that when the external SD card is in the slot of the D2, neither the internal storage content of the D2 pad nor the SD card show in My Computer, only the empty D2 icon, ,so that I cannot transfer the files. Onjly if I remove the SD card from the slot, then the full internal storage contents of the D2 pops up again, which doesn't work because for the file transfer I need both. .The mounted SD card and its contents, though, show nicely in the Settings/Storage tab of my D2, but even so I cannot do any file transfer .This inability to see the SD card also affects my attempts to expand the RAM with the Roehsoft Swap Ram expander, It works well, except that it does not see the SD card and takes the space for the virtual expansion from the internal storage, which is practically full, so that the expansion is minimal. .

Should I be able to encrypt my sd card on this? I have my camera set to save my photos etc on my sd card and would really like it encrypted. I've tried a few of the photo hide programs and they all move the photos to the internal sd card if you hide them from external sd card. If there was an app that would keep them on they drive they are located on I would worry about the sd card encryption as much.
