I am struggling to connect to my home wifi network. I very occasionally can connect but there seems to be no obvious method to the madness just some black magic. Basically it sees my network it has remembered the key, the key is correct, and it says disconnected. I press connect and nothing happens at all but sometimes it will say "connecting..." then it will immediately say disconnected. I have a belkin router and my network is secured using WPA/WPA2 TKIP/AES encryption. I have tried using APNDroid to turn off my mobile internet before using wifi and that sometimes works but that seems to be more black magic than a solution.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI got a problem with my T10. Whenever I'm doing something that uses WiFi, I keep getting D/C'd. Its not my router, because I have other tabs in the house which are fine. WiFi sleep policy is set to Always Keep On, and I've tried apps like WiFi Keeper and WiFi Static which don't work.

View 8 Replies View RelatedWhen my router is set to WPA the Droidx connects and stays connected. But when I change to WPA2 it keeps connecting and disconnecting every few seconds. This leaves me with a choice of less security for my entire network, or no wifi for the Droidx. I have seen this problem mentioned on the Motorola support page, but I have not heard of any resolution. Does anyone have a fix for this? I am using the new Froyo 2.2 OTA update.
View 14 Replies View RelatedI have written a simple GPS status application (just for my own amusement) and was giving it a final run through when I can across a problem. When I took my phone down to the end of the garden I stopped getting location updates. When I re-connected the phone back onto the computer and examined LogCat I saw that the WiFi was disconnecting followed by libgps putting out PDSM_PD_EVENT_GPS_DONE and after that I got no more GPS updates. I then had a guess at the cause of the problem - in my Manifest I had requested the following permissions: android.permission.ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION android.permission.ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION I removed android.permission.ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION, re-tested and my GPS app is now working fine. I only request location updates from the GPS provider by: locationManager.requestLocationUpdates(LocationManager.GPS_PROVIDER, LOCATION_UPDATE_REFRESH, LOCATION_MIN_DISTANCE, this);
o does anyone know how android.permission.ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION and android.permission.ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION interact with each other when using the GPS? Phone is HTC Magic running 1.6 (not rooted).
I've only just noticed an issue that after disconnecting from wifi my phone doesn't automatically go back to 3G/2G.
I have to turn the wifi back on and when it can't find one only then does it decide to connect to 3G/2G.
Didn't have this issue before and I'm thinking the latest update (1.31.405.5) has something to do with it.
Anybody else having similar issues?
BTW I'm on the vodafone UK network.
I am trying to root my Motorola Spice XT300, but when I try to root with SuperOneClick, it always freezes on step #4... USB Debugging is on, the SD card has been unmounted, and whatnot. How can I root my phone with SuperOneClick without it freezing.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI've got an unbranded Desire running 2.2. Occasionally (maybe twice a week) it will go into a cycle where WiFi disables itself when connected. Once fully disabled, it enables itself again. Once it has found my home network, it obtains the IP address. At the point of connection it then disables wifi and starts the process again. Normally, it works fine. Connected, stable, just as you'd expect. Once it starts on this loop I restart the phone and it works absolutely fine. This has happened on another WiFi network other than the home network. I've got the power control widget, and since this started I've now got WiFi manager installed as well. I run locale with a scenario that turns WiFi on when I'm at home using the location power saving add-on, however this WiFi problem has occured with both locale enabled and disabled.
View 4 Replies View RelatedOkay what started out as a slight annoyance is quickly turning into a right pain in the ass. For some reason, over the last week or so I'm finding that I have to restart my WiFi connection to connect to the net. The web pages just wont load, but as soon as I restart it, they load fine. This goes the same for the Market. As far as I know NOTHING has changed on my phone as far as WiFi goes, and my Rom has worked just fine till this issue started.
View 6 Replies View RelatedWhen i'm connected to my router at home via wifi, the connection randomly drops from time to time. My laptop and TV is fine which are both running via the internet. The setting is set to stay connected always, even when the screen goes black.
Does anyone have a resolution for this? Perhaps static IP? if this is the answer, what should the settings be?
The WiFi on my Nexus 7, 4.4.2. Tablet is acting strange lately. It will randomly disconnect from the current internet connection, and delete the entire WiFi password/login history. I have to fill in the password again for it to work again. Restarting my device didn't solve the problem, and WiFi optimization is unticked.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a rooted 2.1, it's been working perfectly since I rooted and updated and all.I love how fast and responsive everything is now.BUT one of the main reasons I rooted was so that I could take advantage of the wifi tethering.It works sometimes.sometimes great.BUT if I try to go to facebook.it'll work well sometimes, then others it won't even load the page.then eventually just kills my connection. gmail seems to have the same reaction.works sometimes, other times, nothing. i dont seem to have much of a problem surfing other sites.HOWEVER if i try to download anything over like 4MB big...my connection just gets killed all together, and nothing works. a friend of mine sent me his bands new demos...the zip file is like 35MB.it only gets a little ways before just dropping down to 0.0kbs and then it just sits there, not loading crap. I can re start the connection, and it will start downloading again, but after about 30 or 40 seconds.the connection gets killed again. Same goes for a torrent...if I try to download a torrent, it'll work and get pretty fast, up to 190kbs.but after just under a minute, connection killed. why is this? does verizon kill data connections that come in to fast or something? i have a friend who tethers with at&t with his iphone, he got the demos downloaded in like 12 min on his iphone tethering app. do i need to do some tweaking to my phone so I can download? im not trying to go crazy, but I'd like to atleast be able to get large attachments and such.

View 7 Replies View RelatedSince last two days I tried to root my lenevo A60 aka spice Mi-350 in India ( android - 2.3.3 ) without any success. I have first tried with the following
1. A60-tools-v2 in winxp (URL....)
2. URL....with winxp
3. gingerbreak (URL....)
No luck :( I have attempted the guides many times to confirm..... seems driver problem.
Now within linux I am trying SuperOneClick (URL....) and during the process I have found actually the adb can't communicate with the phone. If I run "adblinux discover" as root it shows as following
Code:
* daemon not running. starting it now on port 5037 *
* daemon started successfully *
List of devices attached.And due to this the superoneclick is not progressing. obviously at phone I have usb debugging on. I have also added the following udev rules found at URL...
Code:

SUBSYSTEM=="usb" ID_VENDOR_ID=="18d1", MODE="0666"
SUBSYSTEM=="usb" ID_VENDOR_ID=="05ac", MODE="0666".
but no luck. Any way to activate adb so that I can run superoneclick..Or any other way to root it ..

I tried to root MI-350 through Gingerbreak 1.2 and also Z4Root ( During GB and Z4Root installation, I put the APK file in SD root and then installing from there; then after installation, went to the icon and run the software).
In case of Gingerbreak, Gingerbreak went into infinite loop and ultimately after 45 minutes, I have to stop and start the phone.
In case of Z4Root, during 'Acquiring Seell' process, the process got automatically closed i.e. Z4Root went back to normal screen.
On checking, I found that Rooting did not happen. I tried this multple time to ensure that this is not one off scenario.
what can be done or where I have gone wrong?
Not able to load titanium back-up for this.
Just got my Droid X and love it so far. However, I'm having an odd bluetooth issue. I paired my DX with my Jawbone Icon, and everything worked fine, at first. However, now it seems to disconnect the jawbone arbitrarily. Strangely, the blue bluetooth indicator at the top of the DX display stays lit as though it's connected, but the earpiece becomes unable to initiate or answer calls. To resurrect the earpiece I have to turn it off, wait for the bluetooth indicator to go white, and then turn my earpiece back on. At that point, it connects and works fine for a while until it happens again. I guess it's possible there's a problem with the earpiece, but it always worked fine with my iPhone 3G.

Now while rebooting into recovery mode the phone took a long time in booting so I removed the battery and tried to reboot. But the phone makes the signature sound and after that only displays the following word 'spice'.
